It was a beautiful, still night. His feathers were flecked with snowflakes, contrasting beautifully against his glossy black wings. His feathers ruffled against the cool night air, but soon smoothed down as he took flight.

He didn’t quite understand it, but he was excited to talk to Eddie about it: you see, as he glided over the city and settled into the airstreams, he noticed many rows of lights flickering to life in patterns he hadn’t seen before. They didn’t match the high rise buildings, with their cubist illuminations. They didn’t look like regular lights, with their broad beams. They were tiny, brightly glowing dots.

Cream, red, blue, green, pink, orange… all different colours, speckled over the city. It was absolutely beautiful. He knew they adorned houses, but it looked entirely different from above. Like road maps, but vibrant markers of habitation, standing out even against the snow.

Like humanity saying ‘we persist’ against the cold.

He didn’t know why the lights were showing up now, in recent months, except for the correlation with snow —though perhaps that was coincidence. But oh, how he wanted that with Eddie.

Yes, he decided. He much preferred this view to the sewers and curbs. It’s much better to be a bird than a rat.

He was on his way to Eddie.

I was literally so hopeful AND THEN VENOM FUCKIN DIES and I realize that the reason Venom tried to spend quality time and do activites with eddie is because he always knew when it came to it he would sacrifice himself for Eddie.

And he wasnt even teased to be revived in the post-credits. I SWEAR IF THEY PULL A LOGAN AND LOKI AGAIN AND BRING BACK ANOTHER VENOM FROM ANOTHER UNIVERSE IN THE FUCKING SECRET WARS OR SMTH I'LL LOSE MY SHIT. I DON'T WANT ANOTHER VENOM! I WANT THIS VENOM!!!

I was so hopeful after Deadpool and Wolverine did a happy ending and then I'm hit with the "We're never making it out of here"

And they were so cute the entire movie. Esp Venom. Which is made bittersweet by the ending. Fuckin great.
