It was a calm day. Valentine’s Day was supposed to be just that. A calm day, a happy day. Reds and pinks, whites and pastels. Pretty flowers, women in dresses, girls with their gal pals. So what was it? Something in the air was just… off. Way off.

Maybe it was the kid in a worn out MIT hoodie, face hidden from view, tactical gear hidden under his clothes. Peter Parker (@multiverse-peterbparker) was the kid.

Maybe it was the sniper sitting on the roof— a girl waiting to strike (@imjustagirlyourhonor). Her hair flowing down her shoulders, the usual emotion in her eyes gone.

Perhaps it was a child (@official-cjbarnes) who was alone in a crowd. Not with a father, not with a mother. Just a child with a metal arm peaking out from under his hood— the child who had a gun peaking out from his pocket.

Or maybe it was the oddity (project-Gaia-Hydra) standing out, baring an animal mask on their face. Standing silent, dead silent, watching passerby’s.

It could’ve been the fact that a shield agent (@agent-of-shield-s) and the security of stark industries (@official-happyhogan) were standing with Eddie Brock (@officialeddiebrock). They were in the shadows, watching the streets— particularly the people mentioned above.

There was a chance it was the man with six arms (@the-hydra-hybrid) standing with a former hydra handler (@doctor-mindweaver) as they waited for the orders to strike and incapacitate those under control.

Maybe it was the two assets (@project-subzero and @captainzenith) standing quietly. One with a shield that belonged to Captain America- the other just standing beside them. Or the one standing just a few feet away (@om3ga-9) and waiting to provide assistance if needed.

It was, of course, most definitely the two handlers hiding from view though. (@doctoradamyan and @nikolaos-th0rn3)

That’s when the chaos broke out. Screaming sounded, gunshots broke out.

Peter was now attacking people, using his webs for… well, bad. Symphony was hitting people from above with her rifle. Callum was attacking people with his father’s gun, not exactly using it but hitting them over the head with it. Meanwhile project GAIA was locked in a battle with Yuki and Captain Zenith had taken off towards the two HYDRA handlers.

Happy was ducked behind a car, trying to get an eye on the sniper while Eddie— venom— was scaling buildings and attacking various other HYDRA operatives. Oliver Winslow was trying to hack into any systems he could to turn them into the good side. Viren and Viktor were scrambling to find the handlers as well, but they were also trying to keep CJ safe while trying to incapacitate him.

Thanatos had just disappeared altogether. He was in the shadows.

Someone needs to write a 40k fic of the bartender getting the tiny sliver of venom (IM DISTRAUGHT LEAVE ME ALONE) and venom explains stuff and the bartender (I don’t remember his name if he had one sorry) is like “literally nothing else can happen to me - I’ll take you to him”

And throughout the story it’s bartender and Venom going around the west coast searching for Eddie not knowing he moved to New York due to Lady Liberty

Eddie meanwhile is just sobbing hysterically in the cornered and writing small stories for a lowkey newspaper for some providence in NYC to be able to afford a small ass apartment that can just see Lady Liberty (.. definitely not bumping into Peter and maybe Matt sometimes pfft na)

But don’t worry!

Eddie ends up writing and reporting on a big story (… new Spider-Man/DareDevil popping up and just starting out perchance??) so Venom and Gabriel (bartender looks like a Gabriel to me) see it

Other half/last few chapters focus on Eddie just being absolutely a mess about getting Venom back into his life and just not being able to let go on Venom (idk what I mean by this 😣 hopefully if someone writes this you’ll be able to figure it out in your own beautiful way)

And also - most importantly - Venom and Eddie just being in love and taking about the other 24/7

(Eddie talks about Venom without using his name for the reasons at the end of the movie)

(Gabriel managed to get back to Mexico without any issues + Eddie’s help with the whole issue on Gabriel not having his passport or whatever - small detail but I think it would be nice)

Symbrock yuri but because of being with the Symbiote for so long Eddie just no longer aligns with human genders

He checks the “other” box on forms and when you ask him about it he says “oh, y’know” and doesn’t continue. We don’t know. We’ll never know.

They’re both agender, Eddie and the Symbiote, but in a. Non-human way.

the crucial difference between flash and eddie's relationship with the symbiote is that while they both absolutely loved it, with flash it was purely queerplatonic while with eddie it was most certainly deeply romantic and sexual
