Now, I just want to start by saying I love BabBee and Dadimus. I do, 10/10 would enjoy again, but I think Y'all are neglecting the comedic and story potential of Bumblebee and Optimus meeting as ✨Adults✨ and still becoming a family.

Imagine with me, if you will, Cybertron ravaged by war. Things have fallen to shit. Megatron has been dragging these divorce proceedings out for years. Bumblebee was born around the beginning, give or take a few years, I don't care about specifics. His parents were sadly killed early on in his life due to something war related and Bumblebee has grown up alone. He manages to survive to adulthood, and he joins the Autobots. Bumblebee has been drowning in the consequences of this war since day 1 and he wants to help fix it. If Megatron won't sign the divorce papers then Bumblebee will. Yada Yada Yada Sad Backstory This is so sad, Alexa play The Less I Know The Sexy Back.

Anyhoo, Bumblebee is very good at his job as a scout. Top of the line shit, best of the best, 5 stars would eat here again. He's so good he gets promoted to work directly under Optimus Prime himself. Look at our boy go, we're so proud of him, you get that bag sister. Overtime, Bumblebee manages to become friends with Optimus (and the rest of Team Prime but we're focusing on Optimus rn) and they get pretty close. They're work besties, Bumblebee will make a joke over comms and Optimus will smile and say "I N D E E D, B U M B L E B E E.". Fucking insufferable, the both of them, it's so cute. You know how you can become friends with people twice/half your age when you're working at a hard job? That's what happened here, they've been through the (actual) trenches together, they've bonded.

So at some point, Bumblebee gets seriously injured while under Optimus's command, like some life threatening shit. Whether or not it's voicebox related is universe dependent , so we're not going to specify what happens, but it's serious. Bumblebee survives, obviously, but Optimus feels SO bad about it. Oh the Guilt is strong. When he's visiting Bee, some of this leaks out and Bumblebee tells him that he should not blame himself, Bee is choosing to fight, if he dies while fighting for the good of Cybertron, so be it. Better him than some innocent spark in the future. Plus, Bee only got hurt because of a stupid mistake he made, not anything Optimus did.

Bumblebee says this to try and reassure his friend/superior, but now Optimus feels WORSE. Bumblebee is like half Optimus's age (Bee and Optimus are whatever the Cybertronian equivalent of 20 and 40 are, respectively) and had nothing to do with the start of the war, and he's just as ready to die as Optimus is? And he's blaming himself for his injury? That he only got because Optimus told him to do something? Optimus is NOT going to let that slide, no he's not! Over his dead body! He is not crying in the club rn, what are you talking about.

Optimus has decided Bumblebee can not die now. He has declared, as the 13th Prime, that Bumblebee dying has become illegal and he will do everything in his power to enforce this new Law of The Universe That Should Never Be Broken Ever. Now, whenever the two are on a mission, Optimus tries to protect Bumblebee as best he can. He doesn't want to coddle him, Bumblebee is an adult and Optimus respects that but he'll be damned if he lets Bumblebee get seriously hurt when he could have prevented it. He also starts checking up on him when they're not fighting, asking how his day is going, how a mission went, making sure he see's a medic if he's hurt, making sure he's eating his energon, all that good stuff. Bumblebee is his friend, he's going to make sure he's okay, this is perfectly normal friend behavior. The rest of team prime is doing a similar thing, they all want to make sure Bumblebee is doing okay. Optimus isn't being parental in the slightest, he is being very normal. (Author's note: Optimus and Team Prime are being very Not normal about their emotions. All of them have some level of abandonment issues/lost-a-loved-one-itis and can no longer be normal about people they care about.)

Bumblebee recognizes what Optimus (and the rest of Team Prime) is doing. He knows that Optimus cares for him; he cares for him right back. Bee's not stupid, he knows that he's been getting some special treatment in the form of vaguely parental affection. And you know what? He likes it, a lot. He didn't get any growing up and now he's getting it from a guy he really looks up to, why would he pass this up. Bumblebee tries to return this affection he's being given in any way he can. He makes sure Optimus isn't overworking himself by visiting him while he's working, he makes sure Optimus is eating by inviting him to eat with him, he drags Optimus into the med-bay with him so he see's a medic every once in a while, he tries to make Optimus smile with his dumb jokes and antics, the whole kit and caboodle. Bee sees Optimus as some kind of parental figure, and he's going to make sure his newly acquired pop-pop is okay, just like he's doing for Bee. The Pop-Pop thing was a joke (Kind of). Why is he looking for cybertronian legal papers? That is none of your business, Bee just wants to see them for fun. No he's not drunk, the container of high grade started empty.

Life continues, Optimus (and Team Prime) continues to take care of Bee in his unknowingly parental way and Bumblebee is vibing with his newly acquired dad. It takes a while for anyone to acknowledge the new dynamic, Bumblebee just doesn't explicitly bring it up and Optimus hasn't pulled his head out of his suppressed emotion ass long enough to realize it. And keep in mind that Bumblebee is still an Adult and they are still technically coworkers, they still have a job to do, a war to win. Eventually though, maybe after the Autobots have left Cybertron, Optimus finally processes his emotions and realizes he see's Bee as family.

Optimus: Bumblebee, I care for you deeply, and I've come to see you as family.

Bumblebee: Aw, thank you! I consider you family as well. *Hands OP a data pad* In fact, you adopted me months ago.

Optimus (who did not sign any adoption papers at any time): I did what?

Bumblebee: I forged your signature.

At some point in the future, some guy is being a dick to Optimus, i don't really know what could happen, but Bumblebee steps in to defend Optimus with "That's my dad, you bitch!" and fucking slams the guy and Optimus is just standing there buffering, bc he's still getting used to showing and taking obvious affection and he approches Bee later to ask if he really considers Optimus as his dad. And Bee just kind of stares at him then points at the bumper sticker on OP's chest and says "yes, you idiot, I gave you that sticker for a reason" bc the sticker says "Worlds Best Dad" and it matches the "Worlds Best Son" sticker Bee got for himself and I'm rambling, I'll shut up now.

The Witch's Transformation: (part 2)

Mark, a muscular college wrestler, pulls a prank on Alex by sending him to an abandoned house, only to stumble upon a beautiful woman who turns out to be an evil witch. Angered by his intrusion, the witch curses Mark, stripping him of his strength and transforming his body into that of a smaller, weaker version of himself. As his muscles vanish and his appearance changes, he finds himself in a tight-fitting speedo, with his body altered in unexpected ways. Ultimately, Mark is left bewildered and vulnerable, facing the consequences of his prank.

Mark, the college jock, had just played a prank on Alex, the introvert. He tricked Alex into going to an old, abandoned house.

To Mark's surprise, a beautiful woman emerged from the house instead of Alex. Perplexed, Mark decided to enter the house in search of Alex.

Inside the house, Mark found the beautiful woman again. He tried to flirt with her, not knowing what was about to happen next.

The beautiful woman revealed herself to be an evil witch. She was furious at Mark for trespassing into her domain and decided to punish him.

The witch decided to cast a spell on Mark. He felt weak as his muscles began to shrink, and his face became boyish and clean-shaven.

His clothes fell to the ground, no longer fitting his now slim frame. The witch handed him a small speedo which he wore, confused and fearful.

The witch snapped her fingers once more, putting the finishing touches on her spell. Mark's body started to change again.

Mark's butt began to grow, becoming huge and tight in the speedo. He had become small and weak, a stark contrast to the jock he once was.

The witch laughed at Mark's new appearance, satisfied with her revenge. Mark, on the other hand, was horrified and confused by his new reality.

Mark was left to grapple with his new identity, a punishment for his arrogance. He learned a cruel lesson that day about respecting others' spaces.

Liam grinned mischievously as he drilled a tiny peephole into the wall of the girl's locker room at the public indoor swimming pool.

He couldn't resist the temptation to catch a glimpse of the water ballet team changing. Little did he know, his voyeuristic adventure was about to take an unexpected turn. As he peered through the hole, admiring the graceful movements of the girls, a sudden gasp echoed through the room. Liam's heart raced as he realized he had been caught in the act. Before he could even react, a group of stern-faced water ballet team members stormed toward him. "You little creep!" one of the girls exclaimed, her hands on her hips. "You've invaded our privacy, and we're not letting you get away with it. You owe us big time." Liam's cheeks flushed crimson with embarrassment as he stammered apologies, but the girls were having none of it. They demanded revenge, and their revenge took an unexpected turn. "You better make it up to us," one of the girls said, a devious glint in her eye. "And we know just how you can do it. We want a strip show, right here, right now." Liam's eyes widened in shock as he realized the gravity of the situation. Reluctantly, he began to comply, feeling a mix of shame and resentment bubbling inside him. As he started to undress, he found his arousal fading, replaced by a sense of disillusionment. What had started as a voyeuristic thrill had turned into a humiliating spectacle.

The girls, however, seemed to revel in their newfound power over him. His newfound physique, sculpted and alluring, drew the attention of both men and women, who watched in awe as he approached the pool. The coach, a stern-faced man with a grizzled beard and a keen eye, greeted Liam with a nod. "You're the new recruit, I take it," he said, eyeing him appraisingly. "I must say, you certainly come with quite the buzz surrounding you." Liam shifted uncomfortably under the coach's scrutiny, trying to ignore the way his every movement seemed to attract unwavering attention. "Yes, I, uh, I guess so," he muttered, feeling more conspicuous than ever. The coach's lips quirked into a wry smile. "Well, welcome to the team. We'll see how well you swim with all those eyes on you," he remarked, before ushering Liam towards the pool deck. As the swimmers dove into the water and began their rigorous practice, Liam hesitantly followed suit, attempting to blend in with the rest of the team. The sensation of the water caressing his skin, the rhythmic pulse of his muscles as he propelled himself through the pool – it all felt remarkably foreign and yet undeniably exhilarating.

Liam joined the team for practice, and as they headed to the showers, he became acutely aware of his altered state.

The steamy mist enveloped the showers, and the air hummed with the sound of water cascading against flesh. It was in that moment, as his eyes trailed over the sinewy forms of his teammates, that a startling realization dawned upon him. His arousal, once sparked by the sight of the water ballet team, had now shifted. No longer did the female form hold the same allure. Instead, it was the sight of his fellow swimmers – their sculpted physiques, the way droplets of water glistened on their taut skin – that elicited an unexpected and undeniable response within him. From that day onward, Liam embarked on a newfound journey, fully embracing the role that had been bestowed upon him. He reveled in the adoration of the swim team, eagerly responding to their every desire with unwavering obedience and an insatiable willingness to please.

Meanwhile, the girls from the water ballet team found themselves at a loss, struggling to comprehend the enigma that Liam had become. As they watched him cavort with the swim team, their longing gazes reflected the bitter realization that they could no longer capture his attention—his newfound preferences lay elsewhere, leaving them in a state of longing and dejection. In the end, Liam had transcended the boundaries of his former self, stepping into a world that was at once beguiling and strange. I keep rewatching Nightshade's conversation with Sam, and I'm just so euphoric...I know I'm not alone in saying that Nightshade resonated with me as a queer, trans/nb tf fan. and it's just so wonderful seeing how many people in the community can see themselves in Nightshade and the others...Transformers will always mean a lot to me, since it was my first big fandom growing up, and actually helped me navigate my identity as a queer person, even when I didn't know my identity had a name.

What especially resonates with me about Nightshade's character is their confidence and how affirmed they are in their identity, even before they could put a name to how they felt. Even before they gained their alt form, they felt whole just as they are. Even Tarantulas admires them for being so affirmed in their sense of self, seeing it as a gift! Their identity isn't a source of shame or suffering, but a source of pride and love. Even before they had a name to their queer identity, they were never 'lost'. And their conversation with Sam was just so liberating...finally having a name to their gender, and speaking it with such love...recognizing their nonbinary experience as something wonderful and beautiful.

And that means the world to me. Because it is what I want for myself. Growing up the way I did, I had always been afraid to explore my gender...shame was so deeply ingrained into me at a young age, and even now I still falter. But even if I'm scared, I feel more euphoria at being myself, my messy he/they self! So seeing Nightshade's confidence just resonates so deeply with me, and is certainly something my younger self could have used growing up. But I am so blessed I could see this now, and that the current age of young transformers fans have heroes they can see themselves in, and to see themselves and their experiences as something truly wonderful!

TFOne Gladiator Headcanons

(Was going to post this after the poll finished in case “no” somehow won but I sincerely doubt it’ll more votes and I’m very excited to share)

This is pretty long so I’ll put most of my headcanons under a read more! Thank you to everyone who voted yes to me making this! It’s nice to put all my thoughts in one place uwu

-what makes a gladiator-

Majority of gladiators in Iacon are cogless

Those who aren’t cogless are usually criminals who were given the choice to fight for their freedom instead of going to prison or are so despicable that they were going to be executed and are given the choice to at least fight for their life instead

What determines if a cogless bot will be a miner or gladiator is size. Everything made for miners is small, from their living quarters to the actual mines themselves so if a cogless bot is too big then they’re assigned as a gladiator

-rankings-

Gladiators are divided by weight class and rank but rank has more influence than size

There are 3 weight categories;

Light weight (gladiators who are about the size of an average cogged bot)

Medium weight (above average size)

Heavy weight (much taller than average, Titania is in this category because she taller than Sentinel)

There are 5 ranks;

Apprentice

Intermediate

Advanced

Elite

Champion

There’s only ever one Champion but every fight with the Champion is considered a Champion Ranked fight

Ranks are determined by wins, the more wins you have the higher your rank

And the higher the rank the more dangerous the fights are

Technically none of the fights are to the death except for one’s with criminals sentenced to death

But despite this many higher ranked fights do lead to someone offlining, especially Championships

This is because the crowds of those fights tend to cheer for it and if gladiators don’t comply with the crowds wishes they’ll likely be punished by managers

-managers and rations-

Managers control everything that happens at The Pit. They control what ranking you are, who you’ll fight, what recharge station is yours, even rations

Managers are not nearly as physical as Mining Supervisors are with the miners but they do regularly abuse their power. Usually by withholding rations as punishment or demoting one’s rank despite not losing a fight

Rations are determined by size and rank. The larger gladiators will get more rations because they need to energon to function but higher ranked gladiators will get extra rations as a reward

Many higher ranked gladiators will hide their extra rations for a rainy day, and when the managers aren’t around it’s common for them to share their hoard with those being punished

-living situation-

Gladiator living quarters are divided by rank, the higher the rank the nicer it is

Apprentice ranked quarters are very similar to the miners’ living quarts

Intermediate quarters have assigned storage spaces and slightly more personal space to decorate than Apprentices

Advanced quarters get dividers between recharge stations for privacy as well as storage and even more room than Intermediates

Elite quarters have actually walls and doors creating individual rooms, this means it’s only possible for there to be a total of 9 Elite ranked gladiators

The Champion gets an even bigger room than the Elites do and their door can lock but the password on lock can be overridden by any Manager’s code

-income-

Gladiators also make no money from fights, it all goes to the managers so if a gladiator wants money they have to make in other ways

The most common way for gladiators to make money is modeling, they’re considered celebrities to other bots so it isn’t difficult to find such jobs when you’re of higher rank.

Lower ranked gladiators have even less options for making money unless they’re deemed extremely good looking

Suggestive or straight up nsfw jobs pay the most if a gladiator is Elite or Champion ranked

For lower ranks such jobs usually pay barely anything but at times are the only available jobs

Criminal gladiators are banned from finding a source of income altogether

Gladiators have very limited access to the rest of the city

The transport train the miners use is too small for gladiators and the roads of the city only appear before alt modes making them also inaccessible to gladiators

There’s one transport train for gladiators but it has very few stops and only does one round of stops a day

The Gladiatorial Pit

The Business District (not to be confused with The Shopping Districts, The Business District is available for modeling gigs and other sources of income)

The Lower Shopping District (this is the district for cheap shopping, usually used by lower income and cogless bots)

Iacon 5000 starting arena

The Upper Shopping District (only available to Elite and Champion ranks)

Mangers may punish gladiators by scheduling them in such a way that they can’t leave the pit for days, sometimes weeks

-miscellaneous hcs-

The favored Prime among most the gladiators is Megatronous

Gladiators tend to have an advanced understanding of first aid, regularly do their own medical aid and usually avoid going to a professional for injuries

This because they have a skewed idea of what a serious injury is due to the high pain tolerance they’ve built up and because Managers discourage it since they have to pay for it, not the gladiators

It’s common practice for new Champions to leave one thing in their room that belonged to the previous Champion, usually a picture, if they change the room at all

This tradition has causes one wall in the Champions room to be full of pictures and memorabilia of all the previous Champions

The Elite ranks usually have a stash of high grade that they share for special occasions, such as the rise of a new Champion. This is to celebrate the win the victor and to grieve the departed

Most Champions become very reclusive after winning their title

After the events of the movie the pit is in chaos. The gladiators just learned that not only did Sentinel force them to fight and sometimes kill each other but they were also born with cogs

Managers are hiding and making a run for the exits knowing they’ll likely be the first targets for the gladiators anger

There are a couple of gladiators who try to calm down the riot but they’re unsuccessful

Titania, the current Champion, allows those wishing to not participate in the riot to hide in her room… and any Managers that can make it…

After the riot a majority of gladiators join the Decepticons as they resonate with Megatron’s anger

Tom stumbles upon a pair of magic white boxer underwear that transforms him into a more muscular version of himself. With each workout, his underwear changes, reflecting his growing strength and physique and unexpected results. As he embraces his newfound body, he discovers the magic behind the underwear, which fuels his confidence and fitness journey. Ultimately, Tom becomes a jock, reveling in his enhanced appearance and capabilities.

Tom, a man in his mid-30s, found himself wandering into an old oddity shop. The shop was filled with peculiar items, among them, a magic white boxer underwear.

Intrigued, Tom decided to buy the magical underwear. He didn't know what made them so magical, but he felt compelled to purchase them.

Back at home, Tom decided to try on the magical underwear. He found them surprisingly comfortable, and for some odd reason, he felt the need to work out.

At the gym, he noticed that his body seemed to be getting bigger and more muscular. His boxers also seemed to be getting tighter. Was he just imagining things?

Returning to the locker room, Tom noticed that his boxers had transformed into boxer briefs. His reflection in the mirror confirmed his suspicion - he had indeed become more muscular.

Feeling excited, Tom decided to wear the magical underwear to bed. When he woke up the next day, he was surprised to see the biggest morning wood he'd ever had.

Moreover, his underwear had transformed again, this time into briefs, and his package seemed much larger. Overjoyed, Tom decided to hit the gym again.

At the gym, Tom found it challenging to concentrate on his workout. His increased size was proving to be a distraction. He also felt an uncomfortable wedgie from his underwear.

In the locker room, he discovered that his underwear had morphed into a thong. Not just that, his buttocks had also grown bigger and wider.

Tom was loving his new physique. Despite the discomfort, he continued his workout, becoming stronger and bigger with every session.

After his workout, he returned to the locker room to find that his underwear had transformed into a jockstrap*. Tom had become a massive, muscular jock.

A lot of mini-bots (and quite a few other bots) have what might be considered neurodivergent traits (or have been confirmed as such), and I wonder if certain frame types or classes --or Cybertronians in general-- might have physically type-specific processor structures which allow for greater diversity of thought, and if some frame types or spark types might be more or less likely to have or develop neurodivergent traits

We know the Quintessons fucked with the Well of All Sparks in the Aligned Continuity which had unknown effects, and in IDW 1 given the spark as the core of a person's individual spirit (for lack of any better phrasing), it would make sense for Cybertronian sparks to imbue individual personality etc. while the processors are physical hardware with software flexibility to permit and adapt to those unique aspects of self

For example, in the continuities where spark development influences protoform development and therefore what type of frame a bot might ultimately have, it is still simultaneously possible to alter a frame to some degree with armour changes, mass manipulation, etc. (and in most continuities, alt-modes can be altered as well, to at least some degree within the range of someone's core specs)

But the processor and spark are the two things that generally (although we have seen some exceptions to this) cannot be physically altered without incurring significant damage-- Making them some of the few constant components in a species designed to physically change

Sparks have significant individual variation in terms of the personality etc. that evolves from each unique spark, so perhaps processors have some physical elements designed to best accommodate a certain frame type, while also allowing for individual experiences and perception etc. to form unique thought pathways for each individual -- This would allow for any Quintesson or Functionism-related frame alterations or requirements, while also still enabling a spark to produce a unique person as it forms and as experiences accumulate

Sort of like genetics vs epigenetics in human beings; Some things are physical and structural, but some things are informed by environment, experience, etc.

It's interesting that we do seem to see a lot of mini-bots specifically who might fall into a neurodivergent category or exhibit behaviours or thought process that might reasonably fall under the category, but of course it's not universal so there is still greater variation

Although characterisation varies from series to series, here's a couple examples:

Cliffjumper tends to have impulse control problems that are sometimes similar to ADHD impulse control problems, and he sometimes has difficulty prioritising or hyperfixates on one aspect of a situation, leading him to reach the wrong conclusion or focusing on the slightly wrong thing; He also struggles to manage frustration. This could all be related to something similar to executive dysfunction, as it commonly manifests in humans with ADHD.

Bumblebee seems to be conflict-avoidant to some degree in most continuities, and aside from that being part of his friendly nature and kind disposition, it might also hint at something similar to rejection sensitive dysphoria, or a greater sensitivity and emotional response to perceived interpersonal conflict or perceived failure. Some versions of Bumblebee have particularly struggled when faced with high stakes/high risk of failure scenarios, and he has a tendency to internalise blame, directing it towards himself even when a failure is not necessarily his fault or even truly a failed mission. This is often comorbid with Autism and ADHD in humans, but it can also exist on its own.

It's not just mini-bots; Misfire canonically has ADHD in IDW 1, Geomotus in IDW 2 is Autistic and his neurodivergency is even highlighted by other characters, and so on.

So all of this (and how it might work) varies from continuity to continuity, but I just like thinking about how neurodivergent bots do exist, and how that happens and how it manifests and how it is perceived by others and by society at large is interesting

In IDW 2, neurodivergency seems to be viewed in a more understanding and positive light. But in IDW 1, neurodivergency may be viewed in a more ableist way under the Functionist system, and in the Aligned Continuity, perhaps neurodivergency is seen as a potential indication of Quintesson alteration of the Well or of the individual themselves (this would depend on a bot's age).

We don't have too many details on Cybertronian medicine in general, but it's interesting to think about!
