Hello, all. Or should I say, “Dearest Gentle Readers”?

I know it is no laughing matter what I have done.

In the beginning, I never thought anyone would take my writing seriously. Why should they? No one has ever taken any part of me seriously. I only realize now how common that feeling must be.

To be a young lady to whom no one listens. I wrote about all of you because I was captivated by you, living your lives so out in the open. And in writing about all of you, I suddenly felt as if I had a life. I had power. And for anyone in this room who has ever had a taste of that, they should know it can be intoxicating.

But I was careless with that power. It was easy to cast aspersions from the shadows where I could not be found. But I see now how much courage it takes to live a life out in the open. To honor one’s weaknesses publicly for all to see. And to know, regardless of the outcome… one always has worth.

All of us talk. We gossip. Gossip is information. It forges bonds.

Especially for those of us who are told so little. But I can no longer conceal the biggest piece of information I have. My identity. That is why I am so very grateful to our queen for forcing me out of the shadows with her most cunning scheme. If she affords me the chance to continue, I mean to aim my quill more responsibly. That is my repentance and my plea.

Spoilers in this post for Bridgerton S3 Part 2

So I decided to go back and watch part 1 after watching part 2 and I noticed something very sneaky.

So in Ep 3 when we get to the balloon display, we see Penelope walk in with her family and they are followed by Colin and his family - but I noticed something at the bottom of the screen

Right next to Portia Featherington and close to Penelope is a small red haired boy - and what is the gender of Penelope and Colin’s first child in the show?

A little boy 👦😂

Now the writers and the directors either planned this as a subtle hint at Colin and Penelope’s future - their first child and inheriting the Featherington estate - and linked it in with the cake callback later on.

Or it was just a complete coincidence that this child happened to be in the shot at that time, and I am just losing my marbles 😅.

Personally I don’t think this is a coincidence but I’d love to hear others thoughts on it. 🥰😇 also if anyone knows the director of this episode I would love to know who it was.

I have very mixed feelings!! I think it’s hard for me to say how I actually feel because the hype was so intense and my intial feelings are probably skewed but I’m kinda disappointed right now. would love to hear others thoughts and have my opinion swayed!

Riverdale re-retread with a new appreciation for Archie??

This ask gave me what can only be described as a really bad brain itch as soon as I saw it. I've had to confront the fact that I've been sleeping on Archie Andrews, and there are 137 episodes of TV for me to watch like it's new! Dunno about doing a whole manic write up of every episode like I did during the pandemic but the retread urge is fully activated.

Personal aside: I've been looking for a new show to get into, documented on my mainblog @storkmuffin (Hi everyone, this is a sideblog), and it just hasn't been working out, leading to the conclusion that, perhaps, Riverdale is actually the only tv show for me.

I just finished episode 3 of Bridgerton's second season, and all I can think about (aside from the parallels of the roles both Anthony and Kate have in their families) is:

Violet saying Edmund was the air she breathed, and now there is no air.

Anthony's reasoning behind him not marrying for love. He is held back by the fear of getting romantically attached to someone and causing them the same pain he witnessed his mother experience when she lost her husband.

Kate getting stung by a bee and Anthony experiencing a panic attack because he remembers how his father died. Kate helps him calm down, helps him breath again.

I'm rewatching bridgerton season 1 for the first time and I really did not appreciate just how sweet Simon and Daphne are together. Like their love story is so soft.

Then, in season 2 episode 6 when Penelope and Colin talk at Anthony and Edwina’s wedding, Colin alludes to the deeper connotation of Marina’s statement by saying…
