Australia Innovates To Make Quality Cold Brew Coffee In Less Than 3 Minutes
Hello guys, This is our first news article on espresso niche, Today the Australia makes it’s position as innovators of making a quality cold brew coffee in just less than 3 minutes. The university of Queensland researchers released this news today as on 7th May 2024, Tuesday.
Researchers from the University of New South Wales have created an ultrasonic device to increase the pace of a process of making cold brew coffee in mere minutes.
You should glad to hear about this new innovation because if you’re a true cold brew coffee lover you must know that it takes around 12 to 24 hours to brew ground coffee beans.
“Postdoctoral researcher Dr Jaqueline Moura Nadolnysaid that they conducted a test on the beverage and determined that its flavour would be pleasing to enthusiasts of cold brew, who highly praise its smoother texture, lower acidity, and reduced bitterness.”
“Once again, Australia has new technology at our fingertips that moves on from traditional methods of coffee making to modern methods, giving consumers a new premium experience,” Dr Nadolny said.” – source: qaafi.uq.edu.au
How This New Method Actually Works?
The device links a bolt-clamped transducer to the brewing basket by a metallic horn, effectively converting the coffee basket into a highly potent ultrasonic reactor.
According to Dr. Trujillo, the ultrasound technique accelerates the removal of the oils, tastes, and aroma from the ground coffee.
“We can show that this can be modified to fit into an espresso machine that already exists,” he stated.
That means this technology is coming soon in market to gets installed as an add-on part in any exisiting espresso machines. New upcoming espresso machines can comes with pre-installed of this ultrasonic tech.

Don't take it personal...
Parings... Theodore Nott x slytherin!reader
Trope... academic rivals to lovers
Warnings... swearing
Summary... Theodore Nott and Y/n have had rivalry to gain the highest grade in Potions for years but when someone gets hurt maybe it's gone too far...
Y/n L/n prided herself on two things: her impeccable grades and her unflappable demeanor. As a Slytherin, she knew the importance of maintaining a composed and strategic front, and she had mastered it to perfection. Except, of course, when it came to Theodore Nott.
Theodore was an enigma, a quiet presence that somehow always managed to get under her skin. He was brilliant, annoyingly so, and the only one who could rival her in Potions. Professor Slughorn often praised their concoctions, hinting at an unspoken rivalry that everyone in Slytherin House was aware of.
Y/n’s competitive spirit was fueled by Theodore’s relentless determination to outdo her. It wasn’t just about the grades; it was about proving herself, about being the best. Every potion she brewed was meticulously crafted, every essay on potion-making filled with insightful analysis and innovative ideas. Yet, no matter how hard she worked, Theodore was always there, a step ahead or right beside her, matching her effort for effort.
One evening, the common room was unusually quiet. Y/n was hunched over her Potions textbook, quill scratching furiously across the parchment. She hadn’t noticed the hours slipping away, the candles burning lower and lower. She hadn’t even noticed her own body’s protests, the gnawing hunger in her stomach because she just had to skip lunch and dinner and the dizzying exhaustion that clouded her vision as her body practically begged for rest.
It was Theodore who noticed. He had been watching her from a distance, his own books spread out in front of him but his attention clearly divided. He saw the way her hands trembled slightly, the way her head dipped closer to the table with each passing minute.
“Y/n” he called softly, but she didn’t respond. She was too engrossed in her work, too caught up in the need to perfect her latest potion theory.
“Y/n!” His voice was sharper this time, cutting through the haze of her concentration. She looked up, eyes glassy with fatigue.
“What, Nott?” she snapped, the sharpness in her voice a stark contrast to her usual calm demeanor.
“You need to eat something. You’ve been at this for hours,” he said, a note of concern creeping into his voice.
“I’m fine,” she insisted, though her vision swam as she tried to focus on him.
“No, you’re not,” he argued, standing up and crossing the room to her side. “You’re going to make yourself sick if you keep this up.”
She opened her mouth to retort, but the words didn’t come. Instead, the room tilted violently, and before she knew it, she was falling, darkness closing in around her.
The next thing Y/n knew, she was lying on a couch in the common room, a soft blanket draped over her. She blinked, trying to piece together what had happened. The room was dimly lit, and she could make out Theodore’s silhouette sitting nearby, a worried expression etched on his face.
“What happened?” she mumbled, her voice weak.
“You passed out,” Theodore said bluntly. “You haven’t been taking care of yourself, Y/n. This fucked up competition that we have… it’s not worth your health.”
Y/n tried to sit up, but a wave of dizziness forced her back down. She closed her eyes, frustration boiling inside her. “I can’t just give up, Theodore. I have to be the best.”
“Why?” he asked, his tone softer now. “Why is it so important to you?”
“Because…” She hesitated, searching for the right words. “Because it’s who I am. It’s all I have. We are both well aware of the customs that purebloods have and the expectations my parents have for me to secure a suitable match. This is for me because nothing ever is.”
Theodore sighed, running a hand through his hair. “Y/n, I never saw you as competition.”
His words took a moment to register. She stared at him, confusion mingling with exhaustion. “What do you mean?”
“I mean, I’ve always admired you, respected you. But I didn’t push myself to outdo you because I saw you as an obstacle. I did it because…” He trailed off, looking almost embarrassed. “Because it was the only way I could get your attention.”
Y/n’s heart skipped a beat. “What?”
“I’ve liked you for a long time, Y/n,” Theodore admitted, his cheeks tinged with color. “But you were always so focused, so distant. Competing with you was the only way I could think of to get you to notice me and prove myself to you.”
She was silent, processing his words. The idea that Theodore had been trying to impress her, to earn her attention, was both shocking and oddly touching. She had always seen their rivalry as a battle, it had never occurred to her that it was his way of reaching out to her.
“Theodore, I…” She paused, uncertain of what to say. “I never knew.”
“Of course not,” he said with a sheepish smile. “I didn’t exactly make it obvious.”
She managed a weak smile in return. “You certainly have a unique way of showing it.”
He chuckled, the tension in the room easing slightly. “I’m sorry if I pushed you too hard. I never wanted to see you hurt. And if it means you’ll take better care of yourself, I’ll back off. I don’t need to compete with you to care about you.”
Y/n felt a warmth spread through her chest at his words. For the first time, she saw him not as her rival, but as someone who genuinely cared about her. It was a strange, yet comforting realization.
“You don’t have to back off,” she said softly. “Just… maybe we can find a better way to do this. A way that doesn’t involve me collapsing from exhaustion.”
Theodore’s expression brightened. “I’d like that.”
They sat in comfortable silence for a while, the competitive edge between them replaced by something warmer, something more understanding. Y/n knew it wouldn’t be easy to change the dynamic that had defined their relationship for so long, but she was willing to try. For Theodore, and for herself.
As the days passed, their rivalry transformed into a partnership. They studied together, sharing insights and helping each other improve. Their mutual respect grew, and so did their affection. Theodore’s confession had opened a door that Y/n hadn’t even realized was there, and she was grateful for it.
One evening, as they sat together in the common room, Y/n looked over at Theodore, a smile playing on her lips. “You know, I think we make a pretty good team.”
He smiled back, his eyes warm. “I think so too.”
And in that moment, Y/n realized that she didn’t need to be the best to be happy. She just needed to be with someone who understood her, who cared about her, and who made her feel like she was enough, just as she was. Theodore had given her that, and she was determined to never take it for granted.
A/n... Please let me know what you think because I crave validation 😭

it all fell down (ln4)
part3
multipart story! part1 part2 next
✦ pairing - lando norris x female reader
summary : lando norris and y/n were friends for 20 years, fell in love and dated for five. until it all fell down. they left each others lives abruptly and never spoke again, until they met again in the most unexpected way. can they find their way back or will certain scars never heal?
The party continued, the room filled with laughter, clinking glasses, and the hum of conversation. Anna and Liam were making their rounds, thanking guests and basking in the joy of their engagement. Lando and Y/N found themselves in the same group, surrounded by mutual friends who were conspicuously trying to get them to speak.
"So, Lando, tell everyone how you had a great race last week," George said, trying to break the ice as they all stood together.
"Yeah, it was a good one," Lando replied, his eyes flicking briefly to Y/N before looking away. "A lot of hard work paid off, all those endless hours and sim racing. I guess it was all worth it."
"Y/N, how's the business going? I saw your latest campaign. It's amazing!" Claire chimed in, trying to steer the conversation.
"Thanks Claire!," Y/N said, smiling politely. "The team has been incredible. We’re launching another project next month that I’m really excited about. You remember what I told you about when we were in school? The whole collaboration? It's finally coming to life!"
The tension was palpable, each word carefully chosen, each glance weighted with unspoken history. Their friends exchanged nervous glances, hoping for a breakthrough.
"Y/N, didn’t you go on a date last week?" George asked innocently, completely aware unaware of the brewing storm.
Y/N stiffened, her smile freezing slightly. "Yeah actually I did. It was a nice evening. He wasn't busy on his phone with calls all the time and.. yeah it felt good."
Lando's head snapped up, his eyes narrowing slightly. He didn’t say anything, but the judgement was clear on his face. He turned to George, a sarcastic edge to his voice. "Must be nice to have so much free time to date around. Not everyone can afford such luxuries. Or have that much time to waste."
Y/N scoffed, her eyes flashing with irritation. Intentionally avoiding speaking to Lando, Y/N Addressed Clare, "You know Clare, some of us manage to balance our personal lives and careers. It's called multitasking."
"Multitasking, huh?" Lando said, still addressing George but clearly referring to Y/N. "Seems like some people are just good at juggling multiple things at once and not really excelling at anything in specific. Some of us like to be the best at what we do."
"Yes, some people are good at multitasking because they can handle the pressure," Y/N shot back, looking at Claire instead of Lando. "It's amazing what you can accomplish when you’re not distracted by racing around in circles."
The group fell silent, the tension thick enough to cut with a knife. Anna, sensing the brewing conflict, stepped in quickly. "Alright, alright, let's not turn this into a sparring match. It's a party, remember?"
As the night progressed, the tension between Lando and Y/N only grew more palpable. They found themselves once again in the same group, their friends trying desperately to keep the atmosphere light.
"So, Y/N," George started, attempting to steer the conversation to safer waters, "any exciting projects coming up that you can share with us?"
Y/N glanced briefly at Lando before replying. "Oh, plenty. We're working on something really innovative, but I can't reveal too much yet. Unlike some, we prefer to surprise people with our results, not just talk about them."
Lando's jaw tightened. "Yeah, surprises are really fucking great. Especially when they actually live up to the hype."
Y/N smirked, turning to Claire. "Well, some of us don’t need to hype everything we do. The results speak for themselves."
Lando’s eyes flashed with irritation and he directly addressed the woman he used to love. "Funny, I remember you being quite the hype queen back in the day. Always making a big deal out of the smallest things, could never get you to calm down."
Y/N’s smile was icy. "And I remember you being quite the show-off, needing constant validation. Guess some things never change."
George, sensing the escalating tension, tried to intervene. "So, Lando, any plans for the offseason? A vacation, maybe?"
Lando shrugged, keeping his eyes on Y/N. "Yeah, thinking about it. Might go somewhere quiet, away from all the noise and unnecessary drama."
Y/N crossed her arms, addressing Claire instead. "That sounds nice and boring. I always preferred places with a bit of life. Too much quiet can get boring. But then again, some people thrive in dull environments where it's all about them."
Lando raised an eyebrow. "Boring, huh? I’d say focusing on something meaningful is far from boring. But I guess when you’re always looking for your next distraction, it’s hard to understand."
Y/N’s eyes narrowed. "Meaningful? Like endlessly chasing after something you can never quite catch? That sounds quite bloody exhausting to me."
Lando leaned in slightly, his voice low and challenging. "Maybe it’s about the journey, not just the destination. But I guess you’d know all about giving up halfway, wouldn’t you?"
Y/N bristled, her temper flaring. "At least I know when something isn’t worth the effort. Sometimes walking away is the best decision."
George, desperate to diffuse the situation, stepped in. "Alright, enough of this. Stop making this about you."
Lando and Y/N fell silent, their gazes still locked in a silent battle of wills. The group around them exchanged uneasy glances, unsure how to navigate the palpable tension.
As the night wore on, it became clear to everyone that the wounds between Lando and Y/N were far from healed. Their snarky comments and pointed jabs were a stark reminder of the unresolved feelings still lingering between them, making the night a volatile mix of celebration and unspoken conflict.
"Excuse me, I need some air," Y/N said, forcing a smile.
Y/N walked away, her heart pounding. The night had been difficult enough without Lando's snide remarks. She stepped out onto the terrace, taking a deep breath of the cool night air.
Back inside, Lando watched her go, his expression unreadable. He knew he had crossed a line, but the idea of Y/N moving on, dating someone else, had stirred something raw inside him. He turned back to the group, trying to ignore the feeling of regret gnawing at him.
"Anyone need a drink?" he asked, heading to the bar to escape the awkwardness.
Anna exchanged a look with Liam, her worry evident. "This is going to be harder than I thought," she murmured.
Liam nodded, watching Lando walk away. "They’ve got a lot of unresolved issues. Maybe tonight will help them start to deal with it."
The tension between Lando and Y/N was electric, an unspoken force that drew them together even as they tried to pull apart. Every glance, every word exchanged, carried the weight of their shared history—years of friendship, love, and heartbreak. Their chemistry crackled in the air, a potent mix of unresolved emotions and lingering attraction.
As the night drew to a close, they found themselves standing on opposite sides of the room, their eyes meeting across the distance. In that moment, the noise of the party faded away, leaving only the two of them locked in a silent, intense gaze. The space between them felt charged, filled with everything they had left unsaid.
Neither moved nor spoke, but the connection between them was undeniable, a magnetic pull that neither could ignore. It was clear to anyone watching that despite the bitterness and hurt, the bond between Lando and Y/N was far from broken. It was a reminder that some connections are too deep to sever, leaving an imprint that time and distance could never fully erase.

Fixer Upper
ALASTOR x (F)READER Summary: Someone dared to break Alastor's precious radio and his wrath is inconsolable. But turns out you may have some small tricks up your sleeve. Warnings: NONE For the dearest @anon-of-the-void. My darling, it is a pleasure as always to write these for you.
In the bustling chaos of the Hazbin Hotel, where demons sought redemption amidst the fiery chaos of Hell, an unlikely friendship blossomed. Alastor, the infamous Radio Demon, found solace in the presence of Y/N, an inventive soul from the Victorian Era who had found herself amidst the peculiar denizens of the underworld.
Y/N was a tinkerer, always tinkering away in her workshop, concocting gadgets and gizmos that would make even the most adept engineers marvel. Alastor, with his vintage charm and macabre wit, found her creations fascinating, and the two formed an unusual bond over their shared love for innovation.
One fateful day, disaster struck when Alastor's beloved old-time radio, his prized possession from his living days, broke down. The demon was devastated, his usual jovial demeanor clouded by a rare display of anger. The residents of the hotel trembled in fear, knowing the havoc that could be unleashed if the Radio Demon's rage remained unchecked.
Alastor's crimson eyes blazed with fury as he prowled the halls of the Hazbin Hotel, his usual jovial smile replaced by a menacing snarl. The residents cowered in fear, whispering among themselves as they caught glimpses of the Radio Demon's wrathful form.
"You there!" Alastor's voice boomed, sending shivers down the spines of those unfortunate enough to cross his path. "Do you have any idea of the inconvenience of my beloved radio breaking? The nerve, the audacity!"
Niffty, the hyperactive cleaner demon, spoke with a frantic passion as she viewed the mangled radio."Alastor! I'll do it! Let me clean it please!"
Alastor's laughter rang out like a chilling melody, sending a chill through the air. "Oh, my dear Nifty, no thank you. This requires some…interrogation but feel free to clean up the aftermath."
Angel Dust, lounging lazily on a nearby couch, scoffed, "Oh, lighten up, Al, it's just a stupid radio. Besides, it's not like anyone listens to your old-timey tunes anyway."
The room fell silent as Alastor's gaze bore into Angel Dust, his smile twisting into a sinister grin. "Is that so, my dear Angel? Perhaps I should demonstrate the consequences of underestimating the power of music."
With a snap of his fingers, Alastor summoned a spectral microphone, its ethereal glow casting eerie shadows across the room. "Now, let's see who's laughing when I unleash the full force of my wrath upon this wretched offender!"
The residents of the Hazbin Hotel trembled as Alastor's menacing laughter echoed through the halls, knowing all too well that when the Radio Demon was in a foul mood, no one was safe from his terrifying fury.
As fear spread throughout the hotel, Y/N knew she had to act swiftly to quell the storm brewing within Alastor's heart. Ignoring the warnings of her peers, she clandestinely snatched the broken radio and retreated to her workshop, determined to restore it to its former glory.Under the cover of night, she stealthily crept into Alastor's room, her pockets filled with tools and determination. With deft hands, she dismantled the broken radio, each cog and wire familiar to her skilled touch.
Hour after hour, Y/N toiled away, her nimble fingers dancing across the delicate machinery. With each adjustment and tweak, the radio gradually came back to life, its familiar crackle filling the air once more. But as the night wore on, fatigue gnawed at Y/N's bones, her eyelids growing heavy with exhaustion. But she pressed on, fueled by determination and a desire to see her friend smile once more.
Finally, with a soft click, the radio sprang to life, emitting a crackling sound before filling the room with the familiar strains of vintage jazz. Y/N let out a sigh of relief, a triumphant smile gracing her lips as she admired her handiwork.
But as she stood there basking in her success, fatigue finally caught up with her. With a yawn, she sank into a nearby chair, her eyes fluttering closed as sleep claimed her.
Unbeknownst to her, Alastor had been silently watching from the shadows, his expression unreadable as he observed Y/N's tireless efforts to fix his broken radio. When he saw her succumb to exhaustion, a pang of concern tugged at his heart, softening the edges of his usually stoic demeanor.
Quietly, he approached her slumbering form, his footsteps barely audible against the creaking floorboards. Gently, he brushed a stray lock of hair from her face, his touch light as a feather.
"My dear Y/N," he whispered, his voice barely above a murmur. "Such devotion, such selflessness. You truly are a marvel."
A warmth blossomed in Alastor's chest as he watched her sleep, a feeling he couldn't quite put into words. For the first time in centuries, he felt something akin to tenderness stirring within him—a feeling he realized with a start was nothing short of admiration.
With a soft sigh, Alastor leaned in closer, pressing a gentle kiss to Y/N's forehead before picking up her form and striding over to his bed; tucking her in with the utmost care. As he stood there in the dimly lit room, surrounded by the quiet hum of the fixed radio and the soft breathing of his friend, he knew at that moment that he was irrevocably touched by her kindness.
And as the first light of dawn painted the sky, Alastor silently vowed to cherish and protect Y/N, for she had not only fixed his broken radio but had also managed to mend something far more precious—his wounded heart.
The next morning dawned upon the Hazbin Hotel, the air tinged with a sense of relief as the residents basked in the knowledge that Alastor's beloved radio had been fixed. Alastor strode into the lobby with a confident swagger, his usual grin plastered on his face. With a flick of his wrist, he turned on the radio, the familiar crackle of static filling the air before giving way to the melodic strains of love songs from a bygone era.
The residents exchanged puzzled glances, their confusion evident as they listened to the unexpected playlist. Angel Dust raised an eyebrow, a mischievous smirk playing on his lips. "Well, well, looks like someone's feeling a bit sentimental today."
Alastor's grin widened, though there was a hint of something softer lurking beneath the surface. "Ah, my dear Angel, music has a way of stirring the soul, don't you think?"
As the love songs continued to play, the other residents couldn't help but feel a sense of warmth wash over them. Even the gruffest demons found themselves tapping their claws to the beat, caught up in the unexpected romance of it all.
But as Alastor's gaze lingered on Y/N, who stood among the crowd with a shy smile, a wave of realization washed over him. It wasn't just any love songs he was playing—it was a silent declaration of his growing affection for the inventive soul who had captured his heart.
And as the music filled the room with its sweet melody, Alastor couldn't help but feel a surge of hope coursing through him. Perhaps, in the midst of Hell's chaos, there was still room for love to blossom—a love that transcended time and defied all odds.
With a soft chuckle, Alastor stole a glance at Y/N, his heart swelling with newfound courage. For in that moment, amidst the gentle strains of love songs and the soft glow of morning light, he knew that he was falling—falling head over heels for the one who had fixed not only his broken radio but also the shattered pieces of his soul.

I know this blog focuses on TIMs invading women’s sports and locker rooms but Saving Women’s Sports means more than that. Like calling out sexist bs when companies give men real clothes to compete in and women get basically underwear.
The Nike Air Innovation Summit in Paris on Thursday.Credit...Dominique Maitre/WWD, via Getty Images
By Vanessa Friedman April 12, 2024
Ever since the Norwegian women’s beach handball team turned the fact that they were required to wear teeny-tiny bikini bottoms for competition into a cause célèbre, a quiet revolution has been brewing throughout women’s sports. It’s one that questions received conventions about what female athletes do — or don’t — have to wear to perform at their very best.
It has touched women’s soccer (why white shorts?), gymnastics (why not a unitard rather than a leotard?), field hockey (why a low-cut tank top?) and many more, including running.
So it probably should not have come as a shock to Nike that when it offered a sneak peek of the Team U.S.A. track and field unies during a Nike Air event in Paris celebrating its Air technology on Thursday (which also included looks for other Olympic athletes, like Kenya’s track and field team, France’s basketball team and Korea’s break dancing delegation), they were met with some less-than-enthusiastic reactions.
See, the two uniforms Nike chose to single out on the mannequins included a men’s compression tank top and mid-thigh-length compression shorts and a woman’s bodysuit, cut notably high on the hip. It looked sort of like a sporty version of a 1980s workout leotard. As it was displayed, the bodysuit seemed as if it would demand some complicated intimate grooming.
Citius Mag, which focuses on running news, posted a photo of the uniforms on Instagram, and many of its followers were not amused.
“What man designed the woman’s cut?” wrote one.
“I hope U.S.A.T.F. is paying for the bikini waxes,” wrote another. So went most of the more than 1,900 comments.
The running comedian Laura Green posted an Instagram reel in which she pretended to be trying on the look (“We’re feeling pretty, um, breezy,” she said) and checking out the rest of the athlete’s kit bag, which turned out to include hair spray, lip gloss and a “hysterectomy kit,” so the women would not have to worry about periods.
When asked, Nike did not address the brouhaha directly, but according to John Hoke, the chief innovation officer, the woman’s bodysuit and the man’s shorts and top are only two of the options Nike will have for its Olympic runners. There are “nearly 50 unique pieces across men’s and women’s and a dozen competition styles fine-tuned for specific events,” Mr. Hoke said.
Sha’Carri Richardson
Women will be able to opt for compression shorts, a crop top or tank and a bodysuit with shorts rather than bikini bottoms. The full slate of looks was not on hand in Paris but more will be revealed next week at the U.S. Olympic Committee media summit in New York. The Paris reveal was meant to be a teaser.
Anna Cockrell.Credit...Dominique Maitre/WWD, via Getty Images
Mr. Hoke also pointed out that Nike consults with a large number of athletes at every stage of the uniform design. Its track and field roster includes Sha’Carri Richardson, who happened to be wearing the compression shorts during the Paris presentation, and Athing Mu. And there are certainly runners who like the high-cut brief. (The British Olympic sprinter Dina Asher-Smith, another Nike athlete, told The New York Times last summer that while she opts to run in briefs, she also leans toward a leotard style, rather than a two-piece.)
What Nike missed, however, was that in choosing those two looks as the primary preview for Team U.S.A., rather than, say, the matching shorts and tanks that will be also available, it shored up a longstanding inequity in sports — one that puts the body of a female athlete on display in a way it does not for the male athlete.
“Why are we presenting this sexualized outfit as the standard of excellence?” said Lauren Fleshman, a U.S. national champion distance runner and the author of “Good for a Girl.” “In part because we think that’s what nets us the most financial gain from sponsors or NIL opportunities, most of which are handed out by powerful men or people looking at it through a male gaze. But women are breaking records with ratings in sports where you don’t have to wear essentially a bathing suit to perform.”
The problem such imagery creates is twofold. When Nike chose to reveal the high-cut bodysuit as the first Olympics outfit, purposefully or not, the implication for anyone watching is that “this is what excellence looks like,” Ms. Fleshman said.
That perception filters down to young athletes and becomes the model girls think they have to adopt, often at a developmental stage when their relationships with their bodies are particularly fraught.
And more broadly, given the current political debate around adjudicating women’s bodies, it reinforces the idea that they are public property.
Still, Ms. Fleshman said, “I’m glad Nike put this image out as the crown jewel of Olympic Team design,” because it may act as the catalyst for another conversation that has been long overdue.
“If you showed this outfit to someone from the W.N.B.A. or women’s soccer, they would laugh in your face,” she said. “We shouldn’t have to normalize it for track and field anymore. Time’s up on that.”

let me know if you have these placements whether or not they resonate, i'm always trying to improve. these are based off my personal experiences :) NOT MENTIONED: virgo, gemini,
fire mars (aries, leo, sagittarius) are good at dealing with confrontation that is sudden and head on, but not conflict that brews over time. water mars (cancer, scorpio, pisces) on the other hand, can become very perceptive and can pick up on the coming tension much easier. capricorn mars is good at both.
an aquarius sun with no other aquarius placements can struggle a lot to express themselves. this is due to the sun being detriment in aquarius - their individuality and authenticity is being compromised by a weak sun.
an aquarius mercury trying to communicate is similar to a famous celebrity trying to relate to normal people.. there is definitely a disconnect. i don't mean this in a bad way!! they just have a different way of thinking and it takes time and patience for the rest of us to catch up.
11h venus doesn’t always date someone in their friend group, but it’s typically very important for them to have a best friend built into their relationship. companionship is majorly important!!
4h moons are soooo sweet, even if the moon is detriment or at fall. they know how to make others feel safe even if they struggle to make themselves feel safe. very warm people <3
most pisces placements want to be organized like their sister virgo, but it takes a long time for them to find a system that works for them because of how vivid their mind is. big picture (jupiter) vs details (mercury)
taurus mars are veryyy argumentative due to their stubbornness. if you challenge or question what they're saying at all they will be very defensive. taurus mars/scorpio moon will defend themselves even if the statement wasn't aggressive or coming at them any sort of way. i've also met a lot of taurus mars who will counter your point even if they don't believe in it, just so they can argue with you.
12h placements, i hear you, i understand you, i feel for you lmfaooo
capricorn venus typically embraces aging
aries sun/moon are very sensitive to rejection because of their competitive nature. they really want to be the best and they take that shit seriously
the sun in libra is at fall, so these natives need to learn to separate their wants and needs from everyone else's. it's good to be cooperative but it's more important to find and establish your values
pisces mercury can come up with the best ideas, it's just that others might not be able to understand them fully. they think more in the abstract but if you can see their vision they can be very innovative

MK1 Intro Dialogues
Earthrealmers and Reader who is in charge of their own clan + married to SubZero
Johnny Cage: What is it that you find attractive in a man like Sub Zee-Ro? You: Why? Would you like to "act out" those qualities?
You: Liu Kang should have designed you with an off-button Johnny Cage: Darling please, the last thing you want is hearing the end of me
Johnny Cage: So you have your own clan but are also a Lin Kuei? You: The logistics are bit more nuanced but short answer would be, yes
You: I’m not saying I’ll pay for Hichuli but is there any other compensation I can offer Johnny Cage: I guess we can arrange something, if I can use your clan members as stunt doubles
Kenshi: Is it complicated being pulled in every direction? You: I feared this the day I recited my vows
You: I know you have it covered but I can help you take down the Yakuza Kenshi: An offer I will certainly use if the time calls
Kenshi: Your skills are formidable, but they are no match for my swordsmanship You: Your bravado is laughable, I’ve beaten men stronger than you
You: Yakuza to a government agent, quite an interesting transition Kenshi: I can’t say I anticipated it
Kung Lao: Tell Sub-Zero I thank him for the inspiration for my hat You: I admire your innovation, I do not however like the injury you caused him
Kung Lao: I would love a chance to train with your clan You: I honestly thought you were going to ask to train them
You: Visit my hometown, I’m sure you’ll find the food to your liking Kung Lao: I’m there, but I won’t foot any bill
Raiden: Do the Lin Kuei have any plans to attack the Wu Shi Temple? You: I suspect something brewing but I cannot confirm
You: Why is everyone so curious about my relationship? Raiden: You two are so different, it’s like night and day
You: Is it true? Your crush on Kitana? Raiden: How is it that everyone knows about this?
Raiden: The anger inside me feels like it is threatening to come out You: Be cautious in how you choose to release it now with the amulet’s power
Liu Kang: I trust you in your path to help Bi-Han You: I can only advise him, I fear I may need more extreme measures
You: Are the brothers doomed in every timeline? Liu Kang: That is a question I fear I cannot answer
You: I keep having dreams of different timelines completely opposite to ours Liu Kang: We must discuss with Geras what you have seen
Liu Kang: There is hope for the future of the clans to be united You: I doubt it may be possible in this timeline

hi do you like ok computer (1997)
because i really just don't get it (especially as the second-best album of all time) but i reeeally want to & i respect your opinion on that a lot
yea that album kinda changed the course of my life lol. wall of text incoming
first - don’t let rym or aoty or whatever tell you what’s good and what isn’t, everybody’s got their own taste & criticisms that go against the grain are very important!! i will say anything that’s that consistently highly rated across different websites & publications is probably undeniably significant and worth listening to. whether listening feels like discovering a new favorite or sitting through a history lesson is where taste comes in. it’s important to interrogate the canon too as there is an enormous amount of implicit bias in what even gets in front of critics and in the metrics they grade music by. review aggregate sites have democratized this process a bit & all the good and bad of democracy has come with that lol.
so, the album gets praised for a couple of reasons - its innovative production, its commentary on the historical zeitgeist, and the pop appeal of much of the songwriting.
production - the album makes heavy use of cutting edge effects units, digital editing, computer trackers, sampling, and even features little bits of voice synthesis. most of it is stuff that had existed in music before radiohead, artists like aphex twin (and much of the rest of warp records’ 90s catalog) and bjork were ahead of the curve in a lot of the aesthetic aspects of okc and had influenced radiohead a lot, which is even more evident on their followup kid a. radiohead was not breaking new ground in using these sounds, but they were among the first to put it all in a rock context, taking cues from the weirder cuts on the beatles’ white album, the experimental “krautrock” band can, and miles davis’ classic jazz fusion album bitches brew.
context - radiohead had grown up during the decline of much of the social democratic programs that had helped to facilitate the education and performing careers of much of their early influences such as joy division and the smiths. by the time okc was being written they had lived through the austerity of the thatcher era, the fall of the soviet union, and now were watching the labour party turn increasingly neoliberal under tony blair. there was a general sentiment in the west that the progress of history had slowed or even stopped in favor of the neoliberal order. at the same time, tech was booming and computers were starting to find their way into more aspects of daily life. the album imagines a boring dystopia, where machines are rabidly advancing but humans are stuck in stasis. a major connecting theme is infrastructure - the airbag through which thom yorke is “born again,” the “cracks in the pavement,” the family politics that separate romeo and juliet in exit music, the mechanical voice of fitter happier giving contradictory directions for maintaining the status quo. even the escapist fantasy of no surprises comes in the form of carbon monoxide. and then, the record ends with the “ding” of an appliance that has completed its task.
songwriting - the band’s previous album the bends really is a pop masterpiece. i recommend it to anybody who wants to get into radiohead but doesn’t vibe with their later work. okc expands that compositional style through, for one thing, the more apparent influence of classical music on tracks like paranoid android or the Chopin homage exit music; let down even features polymetric layering characteristic of Steve Reich. it also features some songs that are too good to even need to push the envelope much, like karma police or one of my favorites, no surprises, which seems to reference the beach boys’ wouldn’t it be nice or the velvet underground’s sunday morning.
to be honest, i like okc mostly because it really spoke to me at a formative time in my life, when i was like 15 and felt heavily disconnected from the world around me. the album deals with those feelings in a very different context but it’s a feeling many people can relate to for many different reasons - i was closeted in a conservative culture, not a depressed british rock star lol. it also was an excellent gateway into many of the bands’ influences, who are also favorites of mine now. most people who love the album don’t really go as deep as i like to with understanding it, but maybe what i said here will give you something else to listen for, idk. maybe you just gave me an excuse to infodump about an album i love lol :)
#asks#if anyone is nerdier than me about this please feel free to correct me on anything here#especially the british history i am largely paraphrasing mark fisher here as i often am

I've used fairly common level names for this internship as I couldn't think of any others that fit perfectly. Some might sound familiar as I utilized them from The Sims and Sims 2 console games, such as Lab Assistant and Lab Cleaner respectively, although I haven't played those games myself, so the tones used here may differ. The work days for this internship are scheduled for Mondays, Fridays and Saturdays due to Thursday is considered as a holiday if you have the Seasons expansion pack and Shop Club meetings are on Tuesday and Wednesday if you have the Generations expansion pack. The package file includes uniforms and one of them is taken from the Generations expansion pack, specifically from the Catalyst Chemistry Lab Station (Chemistry table) excluding the goggles. You can also read my #psa regarding these careers, click here. I’m not fluent in any other languages to translate so if anyone is interested in translating this career, please don’t hesitate to send me a message here, comment on this post or let me know in my Ask/Contact form (if you don't have a Tumblr account) and will let you know the details. I have tested this career in my game, so far it is working and all scripts are showing up. All feedback is very welcome to help me learn and improve my skills so please let me know if you experience any problems on your end and I’ll do my best to sort it as soon as possible.

For weeks, Hyunjin found himself caught in an emotional whirlwind, one that spun faster and faster with each passing day. He’d wake up every morning, the first thought on his mind being Y/N—the way her laughter echoed in his head long after they had parted and how her radiant smile had the remarkable power to brighten even his darkest days. Each moment they spent together felt charged with electricity, igniting a spark that sent his heart racing. Yet, despite the intensity of his feelings, every time he attempted to voice what lay heavy in his heart, the words seemed to get stuck in his throat, trapped behind the barriers of his own fear and uncertainty.
Their routine had become a comforting pattern: study sessions filled with laughter, casual coffee dates, or simply hanging out in each other’s company. But there lingered an unspoken weight in the air, a palpable tension that neither seemed able to address. Hyunjin could feel it pressing down on him, and he sensed that Y/N was aware of it too. She often regarded him with a mixture of curiosity and concern, her eyes searching his face as if she was waiting for him to break the silence, to share what was brewing beneath the surface.
One chilly afternoon, as they sat in their favorite café—where the cozy atmosphere was enhanced by the delightful aroma of fresh pastries and the rich scent of brewing coffee—Hyunjin found himself lost in thought, staring absentmindedly at his half-finished latte. The intricate foam art began to dissolve, mirroring the turmoil in his mind. He knew he needed to speak, to express the feelings that had been gnawing at him, but each time he opened his mouth, the right words failed to materialize.
“Hyunjin?” Y/N’s gentle voice pulled him from his reverie, snapping him back to the present. He looked up to find her watching him intently, her brow slightly furrowed in concern. “You’ve been really quiet lately. Is everything okay?”
Meeting her gaze sent a familiar flutter through his chest, a rush of warmth mixed with anxiety. “Yeah, just… a lot on my mind, I guess,” he replied, his voice barely above a whisper.
“Like what?” she asked, tilting her head slightly, her curiosity evident. “You know you can talk to me about anything, right?”
There it was—the perfect opening, the ideal moment to pour out his heart. Yet, despite the clarity of the opportunity, he found himself nodding and deflecting, the truth slipping through his fingers. “It’s nothing serious. Just school stuff. You know how it is.”
A shadow of disappointment flitted across her features before she masked it with a smile. “Alright, if you say so. Just know I’m here if you need to vent.”
“Thanks, Y/N,” he replied, feeling a pang of guilt gnawing at his insides. He longed to be honest with her, to share the tumult of emotions that swirled within him, but the fear of jeopardizing their friendship loomed larger than his desire to confess. What if she didn’t share his feelings? What if this fragile arrangement they had built came crashing down, leaving him with nothing but regret?
As the weeks dragged on, Hyunjin found himself increasingly consumed by his internal struggle. He’d watch Y/N laugh with their friends, her eyes sparkling with joy, and it broke his heart a little more each time he refrained from expressing the depth of his emotions. The weight of his silence became an unbearable burden, and he couldn’t shake the feeling that time was slipping away, like grains of sand through his fingers.
On one particularly rainy day, they had just finished a project together at her apartment. Y/N had been in high spirits, her creativity radiating as they crafted a presentation on innovative interior design concepts. However, as they wrapped up their work, an uncomfortable silence settled between them, thick and heavy.
“Hyunjin?” she said softly, her eyes searching his with an intensity that made his heart race. “You’re really quiet again.”
He inhaled deeply, determination swelling within him. This was it; he needed to tell her. “Y/N, I—”
Before he could finish, the doorbell rang, startling them both. Hyunjin felt the tension dissipate, frustration gnawing at him. Of course, just as he was about to bare his soul, something had to ruin the moment.
“Who could that be?” Y/N murmured, her expression a mixture of confusion and irritation as she got up to answer the door. Hyunjin leaned back in his chair, feeling the weight of the unspoken words slip away, replaced by annoyance at the interruption.
When she opened the door, a wide grin spread across her face, and Hyunjin felt a wave of disappointment wash over him. It was Changbin, Chan, and Jeongin, their boisterous laughter and playful banter filling the room as they barged in, completely oblivious to the charged moment they had just interrupted.
“Surprise! We thought we’d crash your study session!” Changbin exclaimed, triumphantly walking in with a bulging bag of snacks.
“Yeah, we were just in the neighborhood,” Jeongin added, flashing Y/N a thumbs-up. “Hope that’s okay?”
Y/N laughed, a bright, genuine sound that made Hyunjin’s heart ache in an entirely different way. “Of course! Come in!”
As the room filled with the sound of laughter and lighthearted chatter, Hyunjin felt the weight of his unspoken feelings settle heavily in the pit of his stomach. He sat back, watching Y/N interact with their friends, her laughter infectious and carefree. It was in these moments that he realized how deeply he cared for her. It wasn’t just about their friendship anymore; it was about her happiness, her vibrant spirit, and he wanted desperately to be a part of that.
The evening progressed with snacks and games, but Hyunjin felt like a ghost in the room, his thoughts racing as distractions pulled him further away from his resolve. Each time he tried to refocus, a new interruption seemed to arise, pushing his feelings deeper into the recesses of his mind. It was maddening, an emotional battle he felt ill-equipped to win.
After a couple of hours, their friends eventually departed, leaving Hyunjin and Y/N alone once again. As the familiar silence returned, he felt the heaviness loom over them, a constant reminder of the words he still hadn’t found the courage to say.
“Thanks for inviting them over,” he finally said, breaking the stillness.
“Of course! I love hanging out with you all. It’s nice to take a break from studying,” Y/N replied, her smile bright and inviting. But there was something in her eyes—a flicker of uncertainty that hadn’t been there before, a hint that she sensed something was amiss.
Hyunjin’s heart raced. This was another chance, another moment where he could finally let everything out. But just as he opened his mouth to speak, she cut in again.
“Hyunjin, are you sure everything’s alright? You feel… distant. I know we’re just friends, but if there’s something bothering you, you can tell me.”
He froze, caught in a tug-of-war between the urge to confide in her and the instinct to protect what they had built together. “I’m fine, really,” he said, though the words felt hollow as they slipped past his lips.
Y/N studied him intently, her eyes probing his. “You don’t have to pretend with me. I promise I won’t freak out or anything.”
The sincerity in her voice made his heart race even more, and he felt the pressure of his unexpressed emotions building within him. “I just… I’m not good at this, Y/N,” he finally admitted, the honesty spilling out before he could rein it in.
“What do you mean?” she asked, tilting her head with a mix of concern and curiosity.
“I don’t want to mess things up,” he confessed, the words tumbling forth. “I just… I’ve been trying to figure out how to say what I need to say, but it’s hard.”
Y/N stepped closer, her expression softening, the distance between them narrowing. “Hyunjin, whatever it is, you can trust me. You know that, right?”
“I know,” he replied, the sincerity in her gaze cutting through the defenses he had built around his heart. He took a deep breath, determination flooding through him once more. “Y/N, I—”
But once again, the moment shattered. A notification buzzed on his phone, pulling his attention away from her. He glanced at the screen, and his heart sank at the sight. It was a text from Changbin, a meme that made him chuckle, but it was also a harsh reminder of how easily distractions could slip in, pulling him away from what truly mattered.
“Sorry, it’s just Changbin,” he said, shaking his head as he tried to refocus. “I’ll talk to you about this soon, I promise.”
Y/N’s expression fell slightly, disappointment flickering across her features like a candle’s flame. “Okay, just… don’t keep me in the dark for too long.”
“Yeah, I won’t,” he assured her, though the weight of doubt hung heavy in his mind. As she turned away, a wave of frustration washed over him. How had it come to this? Why was it so difficult to simply say what he felt?
Days turned into weeks, and with each passing moment, Hyunjin felt the gap between them widen, the words still unspoken, festering like an open wound. The burden of his emotions became unbearable, yet the fear of what would happen if he finally broke the silence loomed larger than the love that compelled him to speak. Each day, the internal struggle intensified, a silent battle waging within him as he grappled with the truth he was desperate to share.

Sweet Confessions Confections
Nakamura Kazuha x F! Reader
Warnings: None, Fluff
Word Count: 4k
A/n: enemies to lovers>>>>>>>(but like barely)
╔═════ -ˋˏ *.·:·.♡.·:·.* ˎˊ- ═════╗
Opening Sugar & Spice had been a dream come true. Customers adored the freshly baked goods crafted with love, and the bakery was a buzzing hub of delight. But then, like a sudden storm on a sunny day, Kazuha's Sweet Serenade appeared right next door, stealing the spotlight and, worse, my customers. Her treats were undeniably good, and people were flocking to her bakery, leaving mine emptier by the day.
At first, I tried to brush it off, believing that competition was just a part of the game. But as days turned into weeks, and the bustling traffic around Sweet Serenade remained constant while mine dwindled, frustration bubbled within me. I felt like my hard work was being overshadowed by her sudden presence. My passion for baking was my lifeblood, and seeing customers flock elsewhere was disheartening.
I began considering drastic measures. Thoughts of retaliating in ways that weren’t exactly above board crossed my mind. Perhaps I’d spread rumors about Sweet Serenade’s ingredients or start a smear campaign. But as much as I was seething with anger, I knew that wasn’t the way to handle things. Resorting to underhanded tactics would only tarnish the integrity I’d built with Sugar & Spice.
⊹₊┈ㆍ┈ㆍ┈ㆍ✿ㆍ┈ㆍ┈ㆍ┈₊⊹
The morning sun painted the street in warm hues as I approached my bakery, ready to start the day's preparations. Kazuha’s playful banter always added an extra layer of challenge to the morning routine.
“Good morning, Y/n!” Kazuha chirped as we both reached our respective doors.
“Ready for another bustling day?” Her playful tone carried an undercurrent of competitive spirit, which, truth be told, both frustrated and intrigued me.
“As prepared as ever,” I retorted, unlocking the door with a determined twist.
“I bet I’ll be seeing more customers than you today,” Kazuha teased with a mischievous grin.
Her comment got under my skin, not just because of the dwindling foot traffic but because there was a silent war of pride between us. I kept my cool, not letting her see the effect her words had on me.
“We’ll see about that,” I replied, masking any irritation in my voice, even as a spark of determination ignited within me.
Stepping into my store, the familiar scent of freshly baked goods enveloped me, providing a sense of comfort amidst the brewing rivalry. Kazuha's teasing lingered in my mind, mingling with a renewed sense of determination to reclaim my customers' attention.
Throughout the day, I threw myself into the tasks at hand, focusing on every detail of each treat. Yet, a part of my attention kept drifting towards Sweet Serenade next door. It wasn't just about the business competition anymore; it was about proving my commitment and passion for Sugar & Spice.
As I interacted with customers, I couldn’t help but sneak occasional glances at Kazuha's bustling bakery. The competition was fierce, but there was an unspoken understanding between us—a mutual respect for our craft.
While the rivalry fueled my determination, it also sparked a desire to innovate, to find new ways to draw customers back to Sugar & Spice. This wasn’t just a battle of bakeries; it was a test of resilience and creativity.
It was a bustling afternoon, with both Sweet Serenade and Sugar & Spice drawing in a steady stream of customers. The holiday cheer was palpable, and despite the equal turnout at both stores, I chose to focus on serving with a smile, letting the atmosphere speak for itself.
As the door chimed, signaling a new arrival, a friendly man greeted me, setting a pleasant tone for the encounter.
“Good afternoon!” he exclaimed.
“Good afternoon to you too, sir! What can I get for you today?” I responded warmly, eager to assist.
The man chuckled, a light-heartedness coloring his words, “Oh, goodness! I shouldn’t, my doctor would kill me. But I’m here to hand you this flyer for the town's annual holiday festival! And I think you should have a pop-up there!”
Receiving the flyer, I studied it with curiosity. “Sure, that sounds like a fantastic idea! It could be a great way to connect with the community and give a festive boost to business,” I replied, genuinely intrigued by the opportunity.
“Exactly! Who wouldn’t want their business booming, right?” The man chuckled as he headed towards the door. “Anyways, I have to go hand out some more flyers. Have a wonderful day!” he called out before stepping out of the store.
The idea of having a pop-up at the town's holiday festival was exhilarating. It seemed like a perfect chance to showcase Sugar & Spice to a broader audience, to spread the joy of our treats beyond the confines of the bakery. It also felt like a positive step, a glimmer of hope amid the recent challenges.
I couldn’t help but feel a surge of excitement. This festival could be the opportunity Sugar & Spice needed to reignite the spark with our customers, to remind them of the warmth and delight our treats brought, especially during the festive season. With renewed enthusiasm, I started brainstorming ways to make our pop-up a memorable experience for everyone who'd attend.
⊹₊┈ㆍ┈ㆍ┈ㆍ✿ㆍ┈ㆍ┈ㆍ┈₊⊹
It was the day of the festival. I had all my treats ready and all the preparations set. I was ready to make my business boom again. But what I didnt know was that Kazuha was here too with her own pop-up… right across form me. I sigh in frustration and annoyance. Why does she have to be here. I questioned to myself.
“Hi Y/n!” Kazuha yelled across from her end to mines.
I had a blank stare and waved slightly.
“Ready to see whos business is buzzing today?” She said teasingly.
“Yeah its going to be me since my treats are better than yours.” I retored.
“Oh? Is that so? We’ll see about that.”
The festive atmosphere at the holiday festival was in full swing, both Sugar & Spice and Sweet Serenade drawing in crowds eager to sample our treats. The day was going splendidly, customers flocking to our pop-up, indulging in the holiday delights we had to offer.
But then, chaos struck. The heater meant to keep us warm malfunctioned, overheating and igniting a sudden blaze. Panic ensued as screams filled the air, my team and I desperately trying to contain the fire, our efforts futile against the spreading flames.
Amidst the pandemonium, I was so consumed by the urgency to douse the fire that I hadn’t noticed Kazuha darting across from her own pop-up with a fire extinguisher in hand. Her quick action was a blur amidst the chaos until I caught a glimpse of white smoke billowing from the extinguisher, suffocating the flames.
Her presence beside me, combating the fire, startled me, breaking through the panic. The initial shock was swiftly replaced by a deep sense of gratitude and relief. There she was, not just a competitor but someone willing to leap into action in a time of crisis.
As the chaos of the fire subsided, a surreal calm settled over the scene, the crackling flames replaced by wisps of smoke drifting into the winter air. Amidst the fading urgency, I turned towards Kazuha, our eyes meeting in a moment that transcended the rivalry between our bakeries.
There was a shared breath, a silent acknowledgment of the unexpected unity in a time of crisis. Her presence beside me, fighting the flames with determination, spoke volumes—a testament to her quick reflexes and willingness to leap into action.
In that fleeting moment, something shifted, a subtle undercurrent of admiration mixing with the relief. It was more than just a rival offering aid; it was a glimpse of the person beyond the competition, someone whose courage and readiness to act resonated deeply.
As we stood there, our gazes locked amidst the fading smoke, I couldn’t help but sense a connection, an unspoken understanding that extended beyond the confines of our competing businesses. It was a moment that felt strangely intimate, a shared experience that brought us closer in an unexpected way.
There was an undeniable tension in the air, a complex interplay of emotions swirling amidst the aftermath of the extinguished fire. Despite my outward frustration and dislike for Kazuha due to the competitive situation, buried deep within me was an unexpected truth—I harbored a secret crush on her.
Beneath the surface of my annoyance at the rivalry she sparked, there existed a tangled web of conflicting feelings. The playful banter, the teasing exchanges, and even our disputes seemed to conceal a hidden attraction that I hadn't fully acknowledged until that moment.
It was an odd sensation, this realization. Amidst the chaos and the competitive edge, there was a peculiar warmth in my heart whenever Kazuha was around. I found myself drawn to her infectious enthusiasm for baking, her determination, and the spirited energy she brought to our shared neighborhood.
Despite the competitive facade and the outward attempts to outdo each other, there lingered a subtle magnetism—an unspoken connection that went beyond mere rivalry. It was as if there was an invisible thread linking us, hinting at unexplored possibilities that contrasted sharply with the outward friction between our bakeries.
As much as I resented the way her bakery seemed to steal my customers, there was a part of me that couldn't deny the admiration I held for her passion and dedication. It was a conflicting mix of emotions—dislike tinged with a hint of admiration and, somewhere beneath it all, an unexpected crush that I hadn't fully acknowledged until that moment of chaos and unexpected unity during the fire.
Though the festival continued around us, the air felt charged with a newfound energy, an unspoken promise of something more. Whether it was the beginning of a different kind of connection or simply a fleeting moment in the chaos, only time would tell. But in that moment, amidst the aftermath of the fire, it was clear that something had shifted between us, something that hinted at a deeper bond waiting to be explored.
In that moment of vulnerability, as tears threatened to spill, Kazuha's reassuring presence was a comforting balm. Her embrace was unexpected yet comforting, a silent reassurance amidst the chaos.
"Thank you, Kazuha. I don't even know what would have happened if you weren't here to help extinguish it," I confessed, my voice trembling with emotion.
"Hey, it's okay," Kazuha's calm tone offered solace as she hugged me, her gesture soothing the rawness of the situation.
As the reality of my ruined tent sank in, a tear escaped, and I couldn’t help but express my distress. "My tent is ruined," I gasped, feeling the weight of the situation bearing down on me.
"Y/n, it's okay. You can move to my tent. I'll make room for you, don't worry," she said, her gentle smile offering a glimmer of hope amid the devastation.
"Are you sure? I mean, we're competitors, and I wouldn't want to impose," I hesitated, my mind clouded with embarrassment and uncertainty.
Kazuha's unexpected proposal to cease our competition and collaborate left me momentarily speechless. It felt like a sudden shift from the rivalry that had defined our interactions for months.
"Even after all the banter that's been going on for months?" I questioned, taken aback by the sudden change in tone.
Her laughter, soft and reassuring, floated in the air. "I started those banters to get closer to you, because I like you," Kazuha confessed, her eyes revealing a vulnerability beneath the surface. "I have a hard time trying to talk to you and get very nervous around you, so the only way I can talk to you is through our banter, which is why I always initiate it."
Her admission caught me off guard, a mixture of surprise and understanding washing over me. The playful banter, the teasing exchanges—those were her attempts to bridge the gap, to break through the barriers between us.
The realization softened my stance. Beneath the competitive facade lay something more profound—an attempt to reach out, to connect in her own way. It was a revelation that shifted my perspective, unveiling a vulnerability I hadn't expected from Kazuha.
Her confession carried a sense of earnestness, of someone trying to navigate their feelings amidst the challenges of communication. And in that moment, the rivalry seemed trivial compared to the unexpected confession and the desire for a genuine connection.
Perhaps, amid the banter and competition, there was a mutual longing for understanding and connection that had eluded us both. Her words echoed in my mind, inviting the possibility of a different, more harmonious dynamic between us.
In that moment, amidst the chaos and the unexpected turn of events, a weight lifted from my shoulders. The competitive facade melted away, revealing a genuine connection that had been shrouded by misconceptions and playful banter. It was a revelation that left me feeling both relieved and oddly elated, realizing that perhaps there was something more meaningful waiting to blossom between us.
Kazuha's confession caught me off guard, her words weaving a surprising narrative behind her actions. Her admission of having a crush on me since the inception of her store left me feeling a mix of astonishment and a strange warmth in my chest.
"You like me?" I repeated, my voice tinged with disbelief and a hint of flattery.
She nodded, a sheepish smile playing on her lips. "Yeah, I thought you were the most beautiful girl I'd ever seen. But I couldn't figure out how to get your attention. So, I kind of resorted to bantering, which, I know, was not the best approach, but it did lead us to talk, and my crush for you just deepened," she explained, her words tumbling out in a rush, her nervousness evident in her fidgeting.
Her confession unveiled a new layer to our dynamic, one that was both unexpected and oddly endearing. It was a revelation that brought clarity to the playful rivalry and teasing banter between us.
"I had no idea," I admitted, feeling a mix of surprise and a flicker of something more. "I guess I misinterpreted your actions completely. I thought it was all about the competition."
Kazuha let out a soft chuckle, shaking her head gently. "I should have been more direct. I'm sorry if I made things complicated. But I couldn't help myself; you were just... captivating."
The air felt charged with newfound understanding and a tinge of excitement. The tension that once hung between us now seemed to dissipate, replaced by a more genuine connection—one that had been there all along, buried beneath the facade of rivalry.
As we stood amidst the aftermath of the fire, our conversation took on a different tone, one laced with vulnerability and a growing sense of mutual attraction. It was a moment where barriers crumbled, allowing us to see each other beyond the roles of competing business owners, unveiling the potential for something deeper between us.
The transition to Kazuha's tent with our treats felt like a significant step, a merging of our efforts that surprisingly resonated with the customers. The day took a turn for the better as people flocked to our joint setup, eager to sample the array of pastries and treats we offered.
As the hustle and bustle of the festival continued, an older couple approached us, their smiles warm and their eyes filled with nostalgia for sweet delights.
"Oh, aren't you two such a cute couple, baking and working together," the lady cooed, her words laced with a hint of admiration.
Kazuha and I exchanged glances, our cheeks tinted with a simultaneous blush. "Sorry, ma'am, but we aren't dating. We haven't even been on a date," I explained, feeling a mix of embarrassment and amusement.
"Yet," Kazuha interjected with a teasing glint in her eyes, her gaze lingering on me, a playful grin tugging at her lips.
The older couple chuckled knowingly, sharing a knowing look between themselves. "Well, you two make quite the team, whether in business or," the gentleman paused, giving us a conspiratorial wink, "potentially something more."
Their playful comment left us both blushing and laughing, a shared moment of embarrassment and a hint of something unspoken hanging between us. It was as if the universe was nudging us, gently teasing at the possibility of a connection beyond the bakery rivalry.
As the day continued, the festival buzzed with excitement, our joint efforts proving to be a success as customers continued to flock to our tent. Amidst the laughter, the joy, and the shared tasks, there was an unspoken acknowledgment that perhaps, beyond the delightful treats, something sweet and unexpected was blossoming between us.

The anticipation for the date with Kazuha had me both nervous and excited. As I got ready, the doorbell's ring signaled her arrival, prompting an excited flutter in my chest. I greeted her with a smile, my nerves tingling with anticipation.
When Kazuha revealed the bouquet of daffodils hidden behind her back, a gasp of delight escaped my lips. "Oh my gosh, they're beautiful!" I exclaimed, taking the flowers from her hand, their vibrant colors adding to the excitement bubbling inside me.
“The flowers mean new beginnings” Kazuha's soft words carried a weight of sincerity as we embarked on our date. The significance of the daffodils she had given me lingered in the air, their symbolism echoing in my mind.
"New beginnings between me and you," she murmured softly, her words laden with a sense of hope and possibility.
"Thank you," I uttered, moved by her heartfelt gesture. Embracing her in a hug, I couldn't contain the rush of warmth and appreciation that flooded through me. The simple act of presenting the flowers transformed the moment into something truly extraordinary.
With flushed cheeks betraying a mix of surprise and delight, I cherished the memory of that heartfelt exchange. After that sweet moment, we decided it was time to venture out, letting the excitement of our time together linger in the air.
As Kazuha drove us to our bakery, confusion flickered across my face. "What are we doing here?" I questioned, unable to fathom the reason behind our sudden visit.
Her gaze turned shy, a soft smile playing on her lips. "I thought for our first date, we could do something we both love doing, which is baking," she explained softly, her eyes filled with anticipation.
Her words instantly warmed my heart, a surge of happiness flooding through me. The thoughtful gesture caught me off guard, and I couldn't help but feel a rush of affection for her. "Kazuha, that's incredibly sweet and such a fantastic idea," I expressed, my voice brimming with gratitude and excitement.
Her consideration and willingness to share our mutual passion in such a meaningful way made the moment feel special. It was a subtle yet profound start to our first date, one that hinted at the potential for a beautiful connection rooted in our shared love for baking.
As we dived into baking together, the atmosphere brimmed with shared laughter and a sense of closeness. Mixing ingredients, shaping dough, and decorating pastries became a lively adventure.
In the midst of our baking frenzy, Kazuha's eyes glimmered mischievously. With a playful smile, she grabbed a handful of flour, aiming it in my direction. "Incoming!" she exclaimed, sending a cloud of flour flying towards me.
Caught off guard by her playful gesture, I burst into laughter, quickly retaliating by grabbing some flour of my own and tossing it back in her direction.
Before long, our light-hearted exchange evolved into a spirited flour fight. Flour billowed in the air as we laughed and dodged, both of us gradually becoming covered in the powdery substance. The once-pristine bakery now resembled a flour-covered playground, but the joy and mirth that filled the space made it all worthwhile.
Amidst the flurry of flour, our laughter rang out, creating an orchestra of delightful moments. The carefree ambiance allowed us to let loose, embracing the playful chaos as we continued our floury escapade.
With each toss and shared giggle, a sense of connection deepened between us. The shared experience of the flour fight became a testament to our budding relationship, forming memories that would forever hold a special place in our hear.

The night air carried a gentle breeze as Kazuha walked me to my door, a quiet sense of contentment settling between us. Her voice broke the silence, soft and tentative.
"Y/n," she called out, her tone carrying a hint of vulnerability. "I know we started off on the wrong foot, but I had a wonderful time with you today."
A warmth blossomed in my chest at her words. "I had a great time with you too, Kazuha. I've never felt this way about anyone before," I confessed, a small smile tugging at my lips.
Kazuha's breath hitched slightly as she stepped closer, her eyes searching mine. "May I kiss you?" she asked, her voice tinged with anticipation.
In that moment, I felt a surge of boldness. Without hesitation, I gently pulled her closer by the nape of her neck and leaned in, capturing her lips with mine. Kazuha responded immediately, her arms encircling my waist as our kiss deepened, filled with a mix of longing and passion.
The connection between us felt electric, a surge of emotions flowing between our intertwined bodies. The world seemed to fade away, leaving only the warmth of our embrace and the tender fervor of our kiss.
As we finally pulled away, a softness lingered in the air, our breaths mingling as we held each other close. It was a moment filled with unspoken promises, a silent affirmation of the budding romance between us, signaling the beginning of something beautiful and exciting.
As Kazuha whispered her parting words, a soft smile graced my lips. "I'll see you in the morning," I confirmed, the warmth of the moment lingering between us.
With a gentle peck, our lips met one more time before she turned to walk away. I stood there, watching her leave, feeling a comforting warmth spread through my heart.
As I gazed at her retreating figure, a sense of anticipation and excitement filled me. The night felt like a prelude to something wonderful, a promise of shared mornings and the possibility of a beautiful future together.
With a contented sigh, I closed the door behind me, the echoes of our evening together lingering in my thoughts. The warm feeling in my heart reassured me that whatever the future held for both of us, it would be a journey filled with love, joy, and the blossoming of a beautiful connection that had only just begun.
