i am getting into the xhorhas arc now but — i still can't fucking believe that the mighty nein stole a pirate ship by accidentally killing its crew (except for one guy) because they just wanted to talk to this one guy (they abducted said guy), decided to go fuck where and engage in relationship with the powerful pirate who has an obsession with a god, became full fledged pirates for a while, docked on the pirate island, got banned from said pirate island after a day, barely surviving, and then renamed a famous pirate ship that they've kept as the balleater.

So much of this switch to new software at work is me desperately going "let me teach you how to do this. Please. Please I don't want to be the only one who knows how to do this please let me share this knowledge please I don't want to have to fix everything myself" It is only just now occurring to me that the reason I can figure out how to fix a lot of the issues people are running into might be because when we were in the testing phase of the new software I deliberately set out to break it as many ways as I could. Like. I thought that's just what you do when stress-testing new software? You input the wrong data in the wrong places and add dates that don't make sense and you set things to pay without ever putting a name it's paying and anything else you can think of someone accidentally doing so that IT can either fix the holes or tell you how to undo it if you make a mistake. You don't just test how it works when everything is going perfectly, because everything won't go perfectly every time

I'm so ashamed of my Italian peers right now and not just them. Everyone assailing a woman because of an alleged genetic advantage, her androgynous look and the myth of pure genetic (lots of athletes have genetic advantages one way or the other and it doesn't look like Khelif genetic actually helped her in the past).

I think Carini's coaches should have done a better job in making her focus on Khelif career facts instead of a supposed test made by a not trusted lab and comments online. Athletes should have help in building mental strength, not be overwhelmed by far right gossips.

I wish Imane Khelif a good run to her Olympics because she does deserve to be there.

Resident Evil AU where Ada, working mostly off of her newly discovered feelings for sweet rookie Leon, winds up revealing herself to him while he’s in training with STRATCOM

She doesn’t exactly show up to say hi so much as she just “allows” him to notice her out of the corner of his eye and find her in a hidden place where no one else will see them.

Ada who winds up accidentally becoming Leon’s closest friend and confidant because she’s the only person he can talk to candidly about everything happening to him.

Ada who informs Leon that the government lied and Sherry isn’t actually okay and watches, honestly a little shocked, as he loses it over the betrayal.

Ada who winds up becoming a go-between for Leon and Sherry because she cares about Leon, and Leon cares about Sherry, and so by extension, so does she.

Ada who sees the tole Leon’s body and mind is taking from his training (and probably getting pushed around by the other recruits and Krauser as well) and pulls the scary boyfriend “who did this to you?” with the full intent to murder them.

Ada who ends up teaching Leon how to fight like a spy and utilize the fact that he’s built lithe and flexible in ways that the military won’t teach him. Ada is the reason that Leon is so extra with his backflips and spin kicks in 4.

I must admit I do find it kind of weird when people are like "hopefully Bells Hells will talk about their feelings as a group this time" like even the prior two campaigns, where the parties had, in my opinion at least, much stronger bonds and regular communication, it was pretty rare to have a single big "having it out" group conversation as opposed to a number of side conversations, and on the occasions when they did have a large conversation as an entire group a lot of people whined that it wasn't good because it wasn't a corporate ice-breaker and/or grade school style "go around the circle and say something nice about someone else". Like there is not going to be a fix for discourse because some people are wicked stupid, is the problem, so don't let that bother you, and conflict resolution takes sustained time and many forms and it's more interesting if it lasts a while anyway so stop being so fucking scared of it because it will make your taste in fiction dull at the very minimum.

I’m so torn, because part of me wants Tai and Van to remain an unhealthily-bonded force to be reckoned with the entire time they’re in the wilderness. I want them to repress all the shit they’re not talking about, hide it all under physical contact and standing shoulder to shoulder against the world. I want them to pretend they’re fine, trick themselves into thinking it’s working as the weather grows warmer and the society they’ve built steadies. I want them to believe their love can outshine their toxic habits.

But the other part of me keeps thinking how DELICIOUS a messy gay breakup in the woods where they both still love and crave one another would be. Think of the yearning. Think of the sexual tension. Think of how intense it would be for them to go head to head at last, Believer vs. Skeptic, and how wild the inevitable crash would shake out. They can’t escape each other. They still need each other to survive. Van’s not gonna let Taissa sleepwalk alone and Taissa’s not gonna want to let Van go full Lottie without supervision. Think of how fucking taaaaasty that dynamic becomes when they both let themselves actually FEEL what their relationship lacks. Liv and Jasmin would fucking kill it and us and I kind of want it.
