daily koss #29: if we only have one shot… better make it count, right?

Since I started on the 18th of February, today marks the one month anniversary of me drawing these wretched old men every day!!! I wanted to make something special for it, so I tried my hand at a comic (even though I am NOT good at comics—dear god, paneling is so unintuitive for me that I ended up wrangling this into a webtoon format just to avoid it).

Despite the increasing level of render and polish on my dailies over the past two weeks, this is the first time I’ve really, actually tried to flex my art muscles and apply my braincells to a piece 😂 Here’s to hoping my work paid off! I have now, officially, moved from low-effort shitposts to real-effort seriousposts 😔

(Also, if you’ve never read a webtoon before, hopefully the long-scroll format wasn’t too jarring! >_<)

A meta aspect I love about KOSS is that Transformers is a multi-timeline franchise: Knock Out and Starscream exist across multiple different continuities, sometimes alongside each other, sometimes not. But they only really ‘work’ in TFP, despite them both having other characters as constants (Breakdown, Megatron). If this were any other world, and they were any other versions of themselves, they might not even have been coworkers—just ships passing in the night.

And yet, the perfect storm of random events led to them being in one thing together, with a compelling dynamic at that (even an entire episode that puts it on blast!!!). Sometimes I think about how, according to the TFP artbook, Knock Out was originally conceived as something of a counterpart to Bumblebee—another fast, pretty car, except a villain this time—but the writers ended up fleshing out his relationship with Starscream the most. I wonder what the thought process behind that was—did the devs find their dynamic fun to play with as well?—and whether the two would get more moments together if Prime wasn’t cancelled…

But I digress! The fact I discovered TFP in the first place is the cherry on top of the serendipity-cake; I never imagined I’d ever get into Transformers, but one impulsive ‘hey, what if we watched the new Transformers movie’ from Lacuna at 3AM in the dead of January changed the trajectory of my life.

I’ve always been really bad at committing to projects for over a month at a time—I often find myself burnt out and restless after only a few days, even. So to still have so much drive and inspiration to create fanworks—for KOSS, of course, but an assortment of other pairings and properties too—is such a novel and exciting experience. My tune may change at a moment’s notice (I can be very fickle), but for now I’m eager to keep scribbling on 🥰I already have something planned for the next week of Daily KOSS hehehe~

And it’s probably obvious from the art, but I love the juxtaposition of Starscream being tortured by god in every other universe while Knock Out is either happily married or doesn’t exist.

Do you think cybertronians ever get a bit freaked out on how tough we are? Yes they can break us like toothpicks but humans seem to be able to take a good beating as well with adrenaline helping. Even our own body and oxygen trys kills us and yet we stick around like roaches. We're fragile in some reasonable and dumb ways and then resilient in the most dumbest ways.

Oh definitely, alot of the bots are very off put by how fragile humans are just in general and tend to avoid them.

But then there's the moments like Ratchet working a late shift and a small knock on the door alerts him someone's there, he turns around expecting it to be Rodimus or Whirl who he's about to scold but instead it's one of the humans and they look worse for wear. After fussing over them for a moment, detailed scans relay fractured ribs, a broken collar bone, and a heap of bruises and yet the humans just like. "Can I have some Panadol, Nurophen, and a glass of water?" Because they don't know what else to do its what they would get. Most of the times they ended up in the hospital. Ratchet is losing his God dawn mind as he rushes around looking for the best painkillers he can find for orgaincs in the smallest dosage he can give, hoping to primus it doesn't shut their heart down. In the end, they end up on a medication that makes them extremely drowsy, almost like the green whistle/ Weed.

Ratchet ends up doing alot of study on the human body and realises just how fucked up little monsters we are. We literally need oxygen to survive but he we have to much pure oxygen it will kill us. Water, we need a certain amount of it, if we don't have enough we will get dehydrated and die, if we have to much we will get water poisoning, intoxication, or a disruption of brain function. This happens when there's too much water in our cells, such as the brain and blood cells, causing them to swell. When the cells in the brain swell, they cause pressure in the brain, resulting in death. The issue is that it can become an addiction to drinking too much water for the effect it has on the body. Same with nearly everything we consume, it can kill us, but we need a lot of it in moderation.

Human: "I just need some basic pain killers and a nap"

Bot: "No, you need full surgery, sedations, and 3 weeks of recovery!"

Human: "nah she'll be fine!"

Bot: "Absolutely Not, bed now before I cuff you"

Following that imagine a first contact AU where Cybertronians and humans are just slowly getting to know how the other works and next thing a human is kneeling over in horrific pain and it send the bots all into panic mode trying to help them, wondering what's happening and thinking they are dying. And the human after about ten minutes some pain killers still looking rather pale and unhealthy just go. "Sorry about that fuck I hate, Cramps/palpitations/ phantom pains/ and such" and the bots are just looking at them horrified like.

Bot: NOT NORMAL!!!"

Human: what you talking about?

Bot: everything that just happened you literally just short circuited!

Human: nah that's causal wait till you see the really funky shit.

Human pet AU

Cybertronian's keeping humans as pets is like humans keeping hamsters. Humans are some of the most homicidal, suicidal and just deranged creatures that Cybertronian's could keep as pets. It's gotten to the point that they are a luxury/ exotic pet because if you do not feed them the right stuff, give them the right amount of light and socialising, and they will just die. There are so many Cybertronian's who take their human into clinics worried as and its just the human being a little bustard because they didn't get the treat they wanted 2 weeks ago and are still holding that grudge. Not to mention, we are prone to causing as much trouble and issue. We are like cats.

But we are also very easily sick and primus forbid a human gets sick because to a bot they think it's a death sentence for their sweet little spitfire of a human who they have had now for ages. And the human looks ready to die, and the next day, they are up and about like nothing ever happened.

Human: if you don't feed me the meals I want I'm going to pretend to die. If you do feed me what I want I might actually die because I shouldn't be eating it.

Panicked bot: "MY HUMAN HAS GOTTEN SICK. HELP!?!"

Human: totally worth it.

In conclusion, the cybertronians are rather wary/ concerned about how resilient humans really are.

When Sparkplug let it slip that she was a princess and also the daughter of one of the most notorious war mongers in history… Slipstream tried as hard as she could to get onto Sparks’s good side. Thankfully Sparkplug eventually found Slip charming in a way, and they eventually formed a strong friendship, breaking trends of the past.

Bee or King Vespae is trying his best to be taken seriously. However most people still see him as prince bumblebee, the little guy that would hide under his father’s cape, the same guy who’s still asking his mother to help him run things. Even as he tries to stay serious, figures from his past show up to make his job harder.

Knockout and Breakdown, Sunder, Brainstorm, Krok, and Swerve snippets

Sunder

• “Just a kiss. One kiss, little love.” Not on his life. Watching the hungry way his head turns to track you as you straddle his thighs and walk your fingertips up his plating to make his hips lift and nearly dump you off the berth. Venting dramatically, he wiggles against his chain. “I wouldn’t bite. Not you.” Definitely lying and you play with the seams at the inside of his thighs while you wait him out. Because he’d absolutely bite if you were dumb enough to try to get anywhere near those nasty denta. “You’re so cruel to me.” There’s a wicked glint in his optics, though.

• Giving in as you just stare at him, he frees his spike and tucks his chin to watch you wrap a hand around him and lean forward to slide the flat of your tongue against him before you’re shifting to rock yourself against him. Teasing him. Torturing him as he growls hungrily. Because you never actually take him in that wet mouth, only taunt him with it. That’s going to be the first thing he does when he gets free. Wants you on your knees, mouth wrapped around his spike. Might even do that before he feeds. Optics hungrily watching you reach to grip him and guide him to you, he growls. And as soon as you sink down on his spike, he rolls his hips, moving as much as his chains will allow and hearing them jangle as you ride him. Too distracted with the feel of his spike stretching you to bother keeping him out and he eagerly dives into your mind, tearing into your memories and feeding as you take his spike.

Krok

• Back hitting the wall, you hear the click of Krok’s mask retracting then his mouth is on yours, demanding and almost overwhelming. One big hand cupping the side of your face, servos flexing slightly and then his glossa is sliding against the seam of your lips, delving inside. His urgency letting you know the mission didn’t go as planned. Because normally he makes love like rain falling over you, soft and unhurried. He’s upset right now, his touch almost bruising as his other hand pushes at the hem of your pants. Needing inside you. And you don’t hesitate, shimmying out of your clothes.

• Gripping your hips, he lifts you up higher and you hook your legs around him. Making him struggle to free his spike and line up with you. Can feel you laugh when you break away from his mouth and he chases after you. Finding your wet heat and driving up. Riding into you in urgent thrusts as he pins you more firmly against the wall. Reassuring himself that everything’s okay after the fear and anxiety of a mission gone sideways. Needing you to ground him, calm him as he frags you like his life depends on it. You moan and he claims your mouth again, hips snapping against yours. Everything right.

Knockout and Breakdown

• “Not so rough. You’ll break the human,” Knockout says, servos tunneling into your hair where you’re sprawled on top of him, his spike trapped against your soft belly as you rub against him with every rough thrust from Breakdown. The other con snarling as he ruts against you, spike stroking deep to coax those little noises from you. Feels your lips brush his chin as Breakdown stares down at him, fragging you. Breakdown’s servos interlacing with those of his free hand as his thrusts become more urgent and you squirm where you’re trapped between them.

• Whimpering as Knockout uses a servo to tip your face up and his mouth slides against yours, Breakdown’s denta find your shoulder and bite down, the little lick of pain tipping you over the edge. Hear Breakdown groan, thrusts faltering before he’s burying himself deep, releasing inside you. And Knockout’s mouth slides lazily against yours when Breakdown slips free, hooking an arm around you and Knockout both and rolling so you’re still trapped between them as they lay on their sides facing each other over the top of your head. It had taken some getting used to both of them and their dynamic. You throw your head back against Breakdown when Knockout guides your leg up over his hip and then he’s driving his spike inside you.

• Driving his own hips against you to rock his still semi-hard spike against soft skin, Breakdown drapes a possessive arm over you and Knockout to rest on your leg as Knockout moves inside you. Loves watching Knockout frag, the way he loses himself in it and the wet sound of you taking his spike. Hadn’t wanted anything to do with you at first, but you’d convinced him on your knees and Knockout enjoys playing with you. Their little toy.

Brainstorm

• “Not yet, not until I say you can,” he groans, thrusts faltering somewhat, spike pulsing inside you as you try to buck against him. Teasing himself just as much as you as his servos tighten on your hips to keep you still. Venting against sweat-slick skin where he’s kneeling behind you feeling you clench on his spike. “Ask nicely,” he growls, pulling nearly all the way out just to slowly drive deep again. And you swear at him, at his ego. Startling a laugh from him, because it’s not ego if he’s right.

• “Please,” you hears yourself saying, managing to avoid adding that he’s being an egotistical jerk right now. And he begins to move against you, thrusting deep as he pulls you back to meet every drive of his hips. Feeling that thick spike stretching you as he begins to move faster until he’s losing his composure and control. Growling as he claims you as his.

Swerve

• “Don’t stop, please for the love of Primus, don’t stop,” he groans, servos tightening on your hips like he thinks you’re going to bail if he doesn’t keep a grip on you. Straddling him, you brace your palms on his chassis and ride his spike. Eyes hooded as he babbles and growls, hips lifting and rocking under you. Nearly knocking you off balance more than once. And he’s as needy as the very first time every time, lips parted watching you like he can’t believe you’re real.

• Watches you toss your head back, making those little noises as you bounce on him, taking his spike deep. Claiming him as yours. Sliding a hand up your soft side, he waits for those eyes to open and find him. Holding his stare as he rolls his hips to make you gasp. “Swerve,” you moan, his name a plea and a protest. Tempting him to lift his hips, encouraging you to move faster because he’s so close.

My Decepticon Designs for my TF AU:

I'm calling this an AU, but really, it's a little more complicated than that, I think. I've been watching tf g1 and so forth since I was a very little kid and all the while I've been making this "perfect" version of tf in my mind and how I've finally got some fraction of skill to draw out all those ideas and stories I loved to dream up about them. This is my perfect Decepticon team! They are the main antagonists/villains, but the Decepticons have so many in their numbers so don't think ur fav isn't still there! All aspects of their designs have like years of maladaptive daydreaming behind them, so if u want me to rant to u about why smth is the way it is in my redesign, shoot!
