JASON FEELS LEFT OUT

It's Jason so he won't show it but sometimes he feels left out in things. For example, he can't give "family interviews" because he's legally dead for the world.

The Batfam watch those stupid interviews together and laugh about it - except Jason. He wishes he was there too (he'd rather die again than admit it). He thinks about what he would've said to certain questions.

Dick and Alfred notice. They inform Bruce.

It's a time where civies are still scared of the Red Hood. So, they call Clark and Lois to interview RH.

The interview is amazing. The rest of the Batfam joins in too (as their vigilante personas). Hell, even Batman joins them. Jason is touched but he acts like this is a waste of time (while still giving the interview anyway).

The Daily Planet publishes the interview and Lois Lane posts the interview video. Suddenly, the internet is filled with everyone fangirling over the Red Hood. Civies start being nice to him and he's so grateful for it - he never actually says thank you but the Batfam knows.

The tragedy that is Adar mourning each of his fallen children, crying tears grief and sorrow, giving them a farewell when nobody else did, whereas he himself died without being given any of that – neither by his children, nor by other characters, nor the narrative/the show itself.

He stood by them when nobody else did, only for nobody to stand by *him* when he needed it most.

Oof.

I think about this touch so often. After years of being in prison, freezing, hungry, bloody, Caitlyn is the first person to touch her so tenderly. Her touch asks for nothing in return, it's only there to comfort, to feel, to love. And Vi's eyes say it all without a single spoken word, all that yearning reflected in them, returning Caitlyn's quiet feelings.

I was thinking about ideas for which SA2 moments I’d put in the Fusionverse AU. This line specifically has been stuck in my notes for MONTHS!

Both have just finished defeating the Final Hazard, the ARK is back in orbit, and they are just realizing they won and saved the plantet. Shadow is in a state of shock.

Their energy is (still) being drained, they’re semi delirious in space, and this god-looking hedgehog suddenly is grabbing them, displaying such copious amounts of joy to rival the sun.

Shadow can’t help but look in awe.

He’s too weak to realize that this happy moment will only be just that, a moment.

Sonic has no idea either, until he turns to head back to the ARK and he has to witness the fall.
