Just a reminder for people cause I haven't seen many peope posting about it:

If you can, please braid your hair today (4/8/24) in honor of Cole Brings Plenty. Cole was a Lakota actor who was assaulted and had his hair cut. Shortly after, he went missing and was later found dead. It's likely that he was murdered, though details haven't been released yet. Rising Hearts has asked that everyone, indigenous or not, wear braids to honor him and remember those that have suffered the same.

If you can't braid your hair, then share posts of others!

Cole Brings Plenty was a Native American actor, and was recently found murdered with his hair intentionally cut.

On Monday, April 8th, if you can/are willing please show support by wearing braids snd posting about and sharing others posts.

I’m wearing braids today for Cole Brings Plenty and the Brings Plenty family, who have suffered a terrible loss. Cole Brings Plenty was murdered and his braids cut off. Today we wear braids to show solidarity with the Brings Plenty family and the indigenous peoples of the world - who have faced far too much violence and oppression. We see you, we stand with you.

It is deviating to me what the murder did to Cole. He was a child of the earth like each and everyone one of us. He deserved life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness like each and everyone one of us. This earth is made of people not races. The hate that exist in this world is disgusting. People deserve to live and it shouldn’t matter who they are. Clearly whoever did this knew that the First Nation’s people believe that hair is sacred and they did this to defile him. The person is disgusting.

Cole you did not deserve this. My heart goes out to your family, loved ones, and anyone who is hurt by this. People should not live in fear of being murdered and having their hair chopped off. I hope that when they catch this person your hair can be recovered.

I wear my shirt for Cole Brings Plenty as often as I can. I need to get another one. It's been three months, and I still cry daily, thinking about the life that was stolen from him. I refuse to forget, and I'll keep fighting. These shirts are affordable and approved by his family. Portions of the proceeds go to them in an effort to bring him justice. You can find them here.

In remembrance of Cole Brings Plenty and as an homage, I have been braiding my hair every day and I will continue to do so until justice is brought to the situation. I beg you, if you are not already, braid your hair for Cole.

this headline is so fucking horrible why is it whenever indigenous people are murdered everyone avoids saying they were murdered

Please pray and raise awareness for Cole Brings Plenty, a Lakota actor and student. He was found on april 5th. This is such an awful and cruel act of violence, im having a hard time finding the words.

April 8th Rising Hearts has organized Braids for Cole, so please wear your hair in braids and bring awareness so that Cole and his family can get justice.
