Other Core Eudicots: An ornery bunch, here we’ve got carnivorous plants, cacti, spinach, currants, and…tumbleweed? Also sandlewood, because this paraphyletic group likes to smell nice when it goes into the ring.

(What's a eudicot? The class that won the previous round. More info here. Many taxonomic categories can be divided up into "basal" and "core" members, the basal ones splitting off the evolutionary tree relatively early on, while the core ones have a more recent common ancestor.)

"Chatty" Stick acts as both Carla's "man-behind-the-screen" for her group, the RaD, and he serves active frontline fighter, piloting his Armored Core into missions. Carla never made a system to back-up Chatty incase something happen to his AC body, which also makes him mortal and oughhh his writing makes me emo

Cortana (Halo) -"Smart" AIs are created when a donor brain is scanned and replicated in digital. The scanning destroys the brain tissue, so each smart AI is a unique individual. Cortana's donor was Dr. Halsey, who instead of being a one-time donor, cloned her brain, and created an AI from the clone. -Cortana is a sassy gal who assists Master Chief through the main games by downloading into terminals to help the soldier accomplish objectives and prevent big mistakes.

sorry if i’m aggressively yucking any of yall’s yum, but i’m currently obsessed with how terrible too like the lightning is. it has been too long since i’ve read a book that’s bad not because it fails to execute its concepts, but because it does exactly what it wants to do with style and flair, and the things it does suck. the lowest-hanging fruit here is that somehow we have inverted the common “male author writes sexist caricature of female character” situation, so this poor narrator fellow does such things as, while having a business conversation with a dude and his wife, randomly imagine “the husband wrenching the kimono back to bare the honey-wet vagina.” i’m 40 pages in and i want to recommend this book to my enemies

Among all the Fromsoftware Dude in Armor guys, Velstadt, the Royal Aegis is like absolute F-tier sexy to me, I do not know what people see in him

Dude just channels the vibe of someone who unironically thinks Powerwolf is Good Christian Music as opposed to songs about cum and boners. If Tarkus was a tough meaty steak, Velstadt to me is just like, raw, walmart-brand tortilla with salt on it

Idk how he even does it like how does it, like he manages to take the gentle mixing of plate armor and scale mail, an immensely and undebatably sexy style of armor design, and somehow manages to make it look not only unsexy, but straight-up kinda lame

Like, how does he even do that? How does one manage to take so many raw ingredients of a character design that would appeal to me and just fumble them so badly? I don't fuckin know dude but he manages
