Hello, and welcome!

I know what you're thinking, there's been numerous pokémon poll tournaments like this already. What makes this one any different?

Well, the biggest and most important difference is the timing of the tournament, and by extension, the number of contestants. As of the full release of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet (version 3.0.0), there are almost exactly 1024 total different pokémon! That means every single match can be 1v1 without the need for preliminaries, round skipping, round robins, or any other weird thing that needs to be done to make an irregular bracket work. Just ten rounds of pure 1v1 elimination all the way through.

"Hold on, you said almost exactly, not exactly." Yes, there are actually 1025 pokémon, which can be turned into 1024 if I treat both nidorans as one pokémon. These guys were introduced before gender was a mechanic and there have since been single pokémon with more extreme sexual dimorphism, so it's fine.

Oh, but that's not all! This tournament will also be seeded using the Ultimate Pokémon Tournament's round 1 results. Were any of the other pokémon tournaments seeded? No, because the hosts of those tournaments are sane and don't hate themselves! I, however, have already put in the work for this because I'm really interested in finding out how this setup changes the results, if at all.

Oh, and it's double elimination too. I don't recall any "every pokémon" tournament doing that either, also for good reason.

So if you liked the other pokémon tournaments and aren't tired of them yet, or if you're, like me, the type of autist who'd feel immense satisfaction from participating in a tournament with exactly 1024 contestants, then you've come to the right place!

What is this tournament about?

As the name implies, this tournament is here to decide which Pokemon battle OST is regarded as the best in the community!

What OSTs are eligible?

This tournament is for game battle OSTs only! A battle OST is a song that plays while you battle someone or something (Pokemon, Pokemon Trainer, Boss, etc.) in the game.

Both mainline series and spin-offs are accepted (Mystery Dungeon, Ranger games, mobile games etc.). No anime only OSTs! If an OST has an anime version but it debuted as a game OST, you can submit it.

What about songs that have a lot of versions?

If an OST has multiple versions, only the most submitted one will be admitted into the tournament. This is to prevent over saturation of OSTs that have many versions.

How many submissions will be in the bracket?

That entirely depends on how many I receive! If the number will be too much, I will trim some to get the most popular in.

I LOVE THAT APPROACH, ABSOLUTELY BASED

Gonna be real here, the CLOSEST any of the new contenders has come to defeat me, was a trainer with the exact same approach: FAV POKEMON ONLY, his OG TEAM, he wanted to take me down with THEM and THEM ONLY AT ALL COSTS. So it was my favorite Pokemon against his favorite Pokemon. By the end of the match we were BOTH down to our Partner Pokemon on low HP. The level of intensity was UNREAL. That was hands down one of my favorite matches I ever had. Trust in your favs guys, they're stronger than you think.
