Have you heard of a dog breed called silken windhounds? They're lanky, with long fur and tall pointed ears, and they make me think of Machete - plus all white is a common color for them!

I've heard of them, seen a few irl too! They're stunning dogs, like little medieval unicorns. Their big sad eyes and wispy, slightly wavy coats do remind me of Machete a lot.

However, silkens are new dog breed, developed in late 1980's in Texas (mostly from whippets and borzois if I recall correctly?). A similar looking sighthound could exist in 1500's Italy by coincidence, but I wouldn't be able to call it a silken windhound because those didn't exist yet.

My cousin called me up on FaceTime while I was in class and excitedly showed me Tommy Bracco, my favorite Broadway actor, hanging out with my grandmother. I started to yell at him to keep away from my grandmother like a father would tell a first boyfriend to stay away from his daughter. I got so angry I woke myself up and checked my call logs because I was convinced it happened.
