A lot of people have contrasting takes on this , but Derek turning Isaac, Erica and Boyd into werewolves was a questionable decision for a lot of reasons.

I do believe that he did it with the intention to help them and didn't expect things to go south so soon when the alpha pack came into town.

I think he did have good intentions but it wasn't the best choice considering how terribly it ended for Derek and his pack members .

I don't know if Jeff decided it would be a good idea to do it just play more into Derek's fears and giving him more issues , but this along with Jennifer using him was just vile.

Season 3A was really a lot of just " How much can we torture Derek and hurt him " huh?
