The Wizard Cowboy War (Wizboys VS Cowards) continues on.

#Wizard #Fourfold soul #fitch #nobody #Digital art #Well! Kind of! This one is actually mixed media -the lines are traditionally done with ink #then scanned and coloured digitally. I like the look and the feel of this method a lot.#In case anyone out there was wondering what the original doodle the Cowboy Wizard Jousting comic was - it was this!#I had indended it to stay a sketchbook doodle but I kept thinking about it - and figured 'why not also use it to do an art experiment?'#The funny thing about using existing characters for this is that this isn't even that far off from what they actually are.#The original pitch for the setting of FFS was 'Cowboy Exorcists'. Which sort of just makes them Cowboy Wizards in a way.#Design wise all I really did here was give them sillier hats.#Fitch isn't boy enough for the boy to be more than a carry over from 'cowboy'#But our Nameless Nobody? Yeah. They earned that Coward Badge good and true.#I have a few more doodles from this (AU? I guess?) That I may post if I'm low energy this week.#I missed drawing these little fellas. I should budget my art time to draw them more often...

going insane about haymitch the rebellion’s sacrificial lamb. they saw a kid honor the dead and make a mockery of snow in a public setting and knew he’d earned himself a death sentence. so they recruit him. ask him to do something that will only increase the target on his back. maybe it’s heartless but it’s for the greater good. they can achieve their aims of rebellion and let him make his death mean something in the process. it’s the best they can make of an unbearable situation

but then it doesn’t work. the arena doesn’t break and haymitch doesn’t die and the world and the games go on. and the personal consequences are dire.

fast forward twenty four years and now haymitch is the adult and he’s got the same kind of teenager on his hands and the same heartless choices in his lap. how much do you think it killed him to feed her to the same machine, when he knows intimately exactly how high the cost of failure can be?

Ladybug: I still don’t totally trust him not to pull another ‘Red Moon’ incident so I figured if I give him enrichment, he’s gonna be spending his time solving puzzles and figuring out clues that take him all over the city instead of potentially becoming a supervillain again.

Chat Noir, who watched Félix spend several hours to solving riddles last night: …Huh. Does he know..?

Ladybug: 90% sure, yes. I don’t think he cares that much, he’s pretty invested in it and I’m great at creating complex systems with clues to follow so— it works out. Plus usually there is something to find at the end of the trail. Usually Kagami.

percy doing better than annabeth in college is one my favorite developments in the rrverse. if we reflect on percy and annabeth's academic upbringing. annabeth living at camp allowed her to receive accommodations for her adhd and dyslexia and surround herself with like-minded campers who had the same limitations. whereas percy was ridiculed, belittled, and routinely humiliated because of his adhd and dyslexia. even more so, percy's friends and family leave him out of the loop on so many important issue (no chb orientation film, no information about the great prophecy) which perpetuates his subpar confidence and self-esteem in his skills as a student and a demigod. but going to college at NRU changes his mindset because he receives the accommodations he should have gotten years ago and fucking thrives to the point of getting higher grades than annabeth — a person he deems way smarter and more prepared than him in every way. the most important thing percy is learning now is that a supportive environment makes all the difference, and he is more capable than he initially thought.

#in no way is this me trying to diminsh annabeth's struggles #because she canonically does #but she also has access to resources that accomdate her learning disabilities #whereas percy never did #even in an environment where demigods are supposed to be on equal footing because of their shared struggles #percy often gets the short end of the stick because no has properly prepared him for anything #he canonically has to figure shit out on his own and that pisses me offc #but nru gives him the accommodations and opportunity and environment to thrive #and he does so well that he earns higher grades than annabeth #somebody percy holds in high regard #this development proves percy and annabeth are canonically on par with each other academically and that they always were #what an amazing decision #percy jackon and the olympians #pjo text post #pjo #percy jackson #annabeth chase #percy getting higher grades than annabeth #loves this for him #he deserves to thrive in the mortal world and our boy is doing it

Anne of Austria was a Spanish princess and Queen of France who ruled as regent from 1643 to 1651 on behalf of her son, Louis XIV. She was known for her close relationship with her son and her disapproval of his marital infidelity. During her regency, she worked with Cardinal Mazarin as chief minister to overcome the Fronde, a series of revolts led by the aristocratic class.
