When Y/N lived in the states, her aunt would host a barbecue. Unfortunately, Y/N now lived in England, there are no other Americans besides her beloved boyfriend and he’s racing this weekend.

“Hey babe, you coming to the paddock with me?” Logan asked, kissing her.

“Ooh, I can’t, sorry, principe.” Y/N said.

“Aww come one, it’s the Fourth of July, I need to have another American with me.” Logan pouted.

“Amor, I can’t. What will I do there?” Y/N asked,

“Okay, fine, I’ll go by myself. I love you.” Logan said, kissing her goodbye.

“I love you too.” Y/N said. Once Logan left the apartment, Y/N got to cooking. Now of course back home she didn’t eat the traditional American food on the Fourth of July so yesterday she called Logan’s mother to ask what would they eat.

So the whole time Logan was gone, Y/N made macaroni salad, potato salad, she bought burger buns and hotdog buns, the pack that’s 4 each, she already had the hotdogs, she bought burger meat, chips, avocados to make guacamole, frosting, she bought everything so Logan could celebrate the holiday. She even made cupcakes and cake pops, she has never felt more white American in her life. When Y/N got home, she put on a pair of blue Jean shorts, a red crop top, and a white cowboy hat with matching boots she had purchased when she went to Mexico, she looked herself in the mirror.

“Logan better fucking love for this.” Y/N said. She was finishing frosting the cupcakes when Logan entered the apartment.

“I Don’t like burgers, that was more for you. However this.” Y/N pointed to the dessert and guacamole. “Is more for me. I grew up just eating the hotdogs with rice, but it’s fine.”

“I love you so much, thank you for doing this for me.” Logan said.

“Of course, Amor. I hope you appreciate this outfit.” Y/N said.

“Oh you know I do, baby.” Logan said, kissing her. He took a bite of his burger. “This is so good, I love your cooking.”

Where were you born? Switzerland.

How do you feel about your legal name? Are you using it online and/or IRL? Michelle is a nice name. I'm perfectly happy with it. I do however absolutely hate the Beales song I was named after. Think it's one of their worst songs. And I regularly forget that I have a middle name, not even cause I hate it or anything, purely because I think it's pointless. It's Aline.

How about your sign? Do you feel it "fits"? I'm Pisces. And I guess so..? I don't really know much about signs, but people who do tell me it fits, and I believe them. @celestialmickey - come and weigh in! haha

What's your earliest memory related to your birthday? Weirdly enough my earliest *birthday* memory that comes to mind is actually my brother's birthday, when he turned maybe 6? And I would have been 3? My parents had a weird thing about getting me small gifts on his birthday, because I was younger and they didn't want me to get upset I guess? Anyway. There's a photograph of him blowing out his birthday candles and me holding a little sheep stuffed toy that I got for his birthday. I remember loving that sheep a LOT! For my first birthday memory I actually don't really have one until about age 6 or 7? I had a birthday party in our party room and my mum made me invite the whole class, even though I wasn't friends with anyone at school. One of the girls gave me a doll as a present and I genuinly just didn't know what I was supposed to do with this thing and had no idea how to react when I unwrapped it... it was very awkward and I'm sure I was less than graceful. Not the best memory lol

What's one of the best gifts you've ever received? When I first moved to London I felt like I was required to go back to Switzerland for birthdays and Christmas celebrations, even though those were difficult, associated with a lot of bad memories, and never ever fun. I moved to London at the beginning of October with a suitcase of clothes and not much else, and we pretty immediately went on the Dirty Pretty Things break up tour, so i didn't even sleep in my new London room very much for the first 8 weeks. Going back to Switzerland for that Christmas was particularly hard because I hadn't been in London for long, I had barely any stuff that belonged to me, and there was a certain feeling of 'maybe it was just a long holiday, and I'm gonna wake up and live in Switzerland again', because I did a lot of extended holidays to follow bands around the UK in the two years leading up to my move so... yeah, it was rough. And then when I returned home to London Ruth and her mum had bought me my own bedsheets (zebra striped), and made up the bed in my room, and put a big bow on it, and I'm basically in floods of tears just thinking about it now. They made me a home that I was welcome in. And I’ll never forget that.

How about one of the best you've given yourself? I honestly can't think of anything that was a "birthday" gift to myself. hmmm. When I quit smoking I put £5 into a jar every day, that I wasn't spending on cigarettes, and then Ruth and I went to New York and attended Elsie Fest with my 'No Longer a Smoker' money, buying VIP tickets that came with awesome seats and a tonne of free booze... that was EXCELLENT! haha

What's your favourite cake flavour? Not a big fan of cake. I like raw cake batter an awful lot better than actual cake. So I now always ask for chocolate mousse for my birthday :)

How about your favourite flowers? Wild Flowers. And I quite like interesting twigs, too.

Here's just a few recent ones, or you can check out the Mys in the Kitchen tag for what may get served at my birthday parties... haha Though actually a couple of years post pandemic I wanted to have a brithday party, but keep it small and covid friendly, so I had a Cocktail & Cookie Icing party, which was so much fun!! I highly recommend everyone to throw a party at least once in their life, that includes like a fun workshop element. We had such a good time!

Summary: It’s your birthday, and Vanessa wants to make something special. She decides to bake you a cake even if she has never baked anything before. What could go wrong? | Words: 759.

A/N: Hey! This is super short. Honestly this is just self-indulgent. A gift for myself since today is my birthday! I hope you enjoy. Also the title is a reference to that one FNAF 1 poster that says "Celebrate."

When she first found the recipe online, Vanessa was sure she would be able to pull it off perfectly.

But she was wrong.

At first it seemed easy enough.

She bought all the ingredients after you left for work. When she arrived home, she prepared her work area, and soon enough she was ready to begin.

“Preheat the oven,” she read on the recipe. Vanessa raised her eyebrows slightly. “Exactly how much time do I have to preheat it?” She thought, but did it nevertheless.

Vanessa also realized you two didn’t own an electric mixer, so she had to make the cake's icing by hand. She scratched her head, sighing and decided that the best thing to do was to start as soon as possible.

She followed the instructions for the icing adding the eggs on at a time when she realized that the mix looked off. She realized that the recipe said “only the egg yolks” while she had used the whole eggs. Vanessa contemplated it for a moment, before deciding that a little mistake was not worth scrapping the whole thing, so she kept mixing, hoping that that would fix it.

It ended up looking thinner than the website showed, but she shrugged it off.

Next up was the cake mix. She added all the ingredients at once, and started mixing.

An impressive number of lumps formed in the mixture, and Vanessa had to whisk until her arm grew tired to try and break them apart. In an attempt to ease it, she added more milk than needed, and now it had a texture that was too watery. So she added more flour, but when inserting the measuring spoon into the bag, it became unstable and ended up falling off the table, spilling half of its content onto the kitchen floor.

She groaned, staring at the mess. Vanessa was starting to get frustrated. This was supposed to be something easy for her. She wanted it to be perfect for you. Because you deserved it.

Vanessa did her best to fix the disaster, and then she continued working on the cake.

This was not going the way she expected. She ended up with a cake with a burnt bottom, an undercooked top and the icing was thin and too liquidy.

She felt like crying, and looked at the watch on her wrist. It was almost time for you to come home, there was no way she could fix the cake in time.

The sudden jingle of your keys snapped her out of her desperate trance. You were home.

She sighed, looking at her “masterpiece.”

“Darling, I’m home,” she heard you say from the living room. Her heartbeat quickened, she felt the need to hide or run away but she resisted it.

Vanessa tried to calm her nerves as she took off her apron, and at that moment, you entered the kitchen. “Hey, Ness, what–”

You stopped in the middle of your sentence, staring at the mess in the kitchen. Dirty dishes, eggshells on the counter, some spilled cake mix and finally, the cake itself in all its messy glory. Your eyes widened.

“Hi, sweetheart,” she said with a wry smile. “I tried to make something special for you.” She pointed to the sad cake on the kitchen counter.

You opened your mouth, but no sound came out of it, and for her that was the last straw. Vanessa let out a breath she didn’t know she was holding and sobbed.

You broke out of your astonishment. Quickly approaching her, you asked, “Oh, no. Darling, are you okay?”

She sobbed again, “I tried to do something nice for you. But I failed.” Vanessa tried to wipe the tears out of her face. “It didn’t matter how hard I tried, I kept messing up. You deserve better than this.”

You let out a shaky breath, and pulled her into an embrace. You stroked her back, drawing circles to help her calm down.

“Ness, you don’t need to do everything perfectly. Just the fact that you try is enough.” You reassured her. “Not everything is achieved on the first try, and to me, your intentions are what mean the most. We’re here to support each other in every step of the way, right?”

She pulled away slightly, her face was tear stained but there was a small smile on her lips. “Right,” she whispered.

“Thank you for the cake, love.” You murmured, looking down at her lips.

She smiled more broadly and leaned in to kiss you softly.

“Happy birthday, sweetheart.”

some reflections and comtemplations

2024 was a year of pain and growth, but I’d like to celebrate some of the highs:

I received the baby, a symbol of luck and prosperity, in a King cake a friend brought back from Mardi Gras.

I got a 2nd job selling bread at a farmer’s market.

I saw my brother get married to the love of his life.

My grandparent’s house sold after 3 years in limbo. Saying goodbye to it felt like I was mourning them all over again, but their frugality and initial investment in building a beautiful home paid off to all of their loved ones, including myself.

I moved out from a situation (and ended a friendship) that was not serving me anymore. I couldn’t afford to live by myself so I moved back in with my parents (very difficult emotionally, but now I get to live with Joe AND Oliver)!

Other things to celebrate

- bought my very first car!!!

- finding out I’ll be an aunt for the first time!!

- graduated from a leadership course at work

- applied for a program that is allowing me to move across the country in 2025

- opened this fortune cookie this morning

I hope that the coming year is as full of moments of joy, but I know life is full of uncertainties. I also know that I am capable of overcoming whatever may come my way.

Also probably makes you a card. That or she writes a very heart felt note in a card she bought in her cursive hand writing.

She's also cooking you your favorite dinner. Whatever it is you want she'll make it for you. She's never had a special birthday that she got to celebrate so she wants to make it special for you.

I also feel like she'd be more open to physical affection on your birthday. She's a more reserved person so her holding you hand or giving you a kiss on the cheek is a big deal to her, but she's doing it because you mean so much to her.

Michael Myers

Might not remember that it's your birthday. He's a kind of busy guy who's already doing a lot by not killing you and being your boyfriend so he doesn't think it's a big deal if he forgets.

He in general doesn't understand why people celebrate birthdays. He thinks it's a little dumb but he's not going to say that, or really anything, to you.

When you remind him, he goes out and steals a gift for you. Something he's heard you mention before. Most likely from someones house. But if he's feeling like it he might steal it from a store.

If you're really close to him he'll put a tag with his name on it. It's going to be horrible hand writing that you could barely read but him writing "from Michael" is something really special.

If you have a cake on your birthday he'll happily eat some with you. Depending on how close you are, he might lift up his mask and eat it in the same room as you but it really depends on how long he's known you.

Leslie Vernon

He's been planning this since he first laid his eyes on you. At first you were going to be a victim but he ended up catching feelings for you and now you're dating. But that hasn't stopped him from learning everything about you.

He's going to be a bit of an asshole and act like he doesn't know that it's your birthday. He's going to act like it's a normal day and ask you to go out and get something so he can set up a surprise for you.

That surprise being something that you've wanted for a very long time. Whatever it is he finds a way to get it for you and sets it up while you're out of the house.

Also buys you a cake. He tried to make one himself but he was so bad at it that he had to throw it away and clean up half the kitchen.

He also does try to scare you a little bit. He just likes scaring people and you're one of them. He's sorry about it afterwards if you didn't like it but he thought it would be funny.

Candy man

He doesn't know his birthday, even if he did when he was alive he'd probably forget it by now. But he always remembers your birthday, for as long as you're with him he'll remember it.

I feel like he didn't know how to write when he was alive but in the afterlife he learned how to, meaning he's going to write you a lengthy love poem. He's going to be detailing everything he loves about you in this poem and more.

He's also getting you flowers, partly because of his bees, partly because he's a classic romantic. He's not getting you just any flowers either. He's stealing you your favorite flowers.

He's also taking you out on a date. A non-traditional one because, well he's an undead man who has supernatural powers. But it's still nice. Probably a walk around at night somewhere romantic.

I feel like he doesn't eat food because he doesn't need to but if you have cake for your birthday he's happy to sit with you and enjoy it together.

Norman Bates

He has your birthday marked on his calendar the moment he realizes that he loves you. He double checks before writing it down on his calendar and having a countdown.

He's going to make you breakfast in bed. Whatever your favorite breakfast foods are he's going to make them for you and serve you in bed, but he's going to stress not to get crumbs on the bed.

Like Leslie he's getting you a special gift that you've been talking a lot about. Anything that you really want he's going to get for you one way or another.

He's probably going to buy you a cake. He might make one and if he does it turns out pretty good because it was his mothers recipe. But he might get too anxious to actually do that so he's going to most likely buy a cake for you.

Like Carrie he's going to be more physically affectionate too. He'll be pretty nervous the first time he holds your hand for an extended period of time but he ends up craving more physical affection.

Jesse Cromeans

He's going to spoil you the entire day, no matter if you want him to or not. This man has money to burn he's not going to let you act like you don't deserve to be treated.

He either buys you gifts you've wanted or just gives you a ton of money to go shopping with him. He'll probably find some subtle way to ask you before your birthday and plan according to that.

He also takes you out to whatever fancy restaurant you want to go to. He's a rich and powerful man so he can get his assistant to get you two a table at whatever restaurant you want to go to.

If you want a cake for your birthday he gets the best bakery nearby to make you one according to your exact desires. He writes down exactly what you want and has his assistant help with getting it done.

You know how people put cash in cards for your birthday? Jesse stuffs way too much cash in your card. As if all of what he's doing today isn't enough, you're getting at least 3,000 dollars in your birthday card.

Mizuki is a big fan of cute things and there's no hiding it! So for their birthday, you planned cute royal-like cake! You didn't wanted to bother with layers tho so you just did one layer... but you promised yourself you'll make it BEAUTIFUL!

You already bought edible pearls, big and small and some strawberries, whipped cream and all the other stuff need for strawberry cake!

But you had to prepare the cake day before since your meeting was around afternoon because they were already meeting with Nightcord at night...

The cake was absolute HELL to go through... you had to perfectly place every Pearl to make little chain out of them around the cake!! Sure, placing strawberries and making whipped cream into little spiral may've been hard too... but pearls had to be the worst things... especially one some fell off and you had to repeat the process...

It's easy to say you were at the edge of loosing your mentality many times, but in the end, it was all worth it!

"I really hope Misuki will like it... If not... I think I'm just gonna cry myself to sleep..."

You said few words to yourself before sighing and finally deciding to put the cake carefully into fridge. After all, it'll be needed tomorrow!

The next day you woke up, you immidietly reached for your phone to send your lover a little message and wish them happy celebration!

"<Hey Mizu!! Happy Birthday! Tell me when you'll be coming so I can get everything ready!>"

Luckily, you didn't had to wait long for message as you texted during hour Mizuki is usually awake at...

"<Awwwh thanks love!!! I just waited for your text so I can actually head to your place right now!>"

"<Sure! I'll try to get everything ready by then!>"

"<No need to hurry! I'll probably stop by mall on my way so you have time!>"

"<It's fine, I'll be alright so don't worry>"

But despite your answer... you were honestly pretty glad they were taking longer route, because that meant more time to wake up and get everything ready for you!

After getting yourself ready for the day, you walked into kitchen and took the cake out of the freezer.

"I guess I can finally put the candles on top~"

You took out ribbon candle and put it on the very top! It's perfect match for your partner since it's almost their signature by now, no?

After making sure your appearence is satisfying, the cake looks great and you have just the perfect movie choosed for the afternoon, you sighed to yourself relieved that in the end... you managed to make everything right!

"Guess who's here~!"

You heard a melodic voice behind the door, accompanied by few knocks. With small giggle, you moved to open it and was met with no one else than your partner!

"Hey Mizu! Come in! I got something for you~"

"Hehe~ Oh you don't have to tell me twice!"

While they were taking off their shoes, you made your way to kitchen to light up the candle before they get here. You waited patiently for them to arrive, and once they did, you made sure they can hear what you said clearly~

"Happy Birthday Mizuki!! Make a wish!"

With a giggle they came over to the table the cake was on and blew the candle after just a second of thinking.

"You know what you want, huh~?"

"Of course! And trust me, it's the best wish ever!"

"Well now I'm curious~"

"Oh, I believe! But I can't tell you that or else it won't come true, y'know~?

What is the age when we started to care less about our date of birth? When our birthday starts to feel mundane , just another day in this life on earth . To begin with, I never did make a fuss about my birthdays. The greetings of my most loved people were enough for my happiness. I never have wanted celebrations , parties, or gifts.

That was until they threw me the most meaningful birthday, I could ever hope for. There stood Max , Lando, and Daniel with the biggest of grins holding what seems to be an attempt of a birthday cake as they sang to me happy birthday — and then came their present. In the box , 4 smiling faces stared back at me, their facing were shining with unadulterated joy and peace — it reflected true happiness… it was a framed picture of us , in the McDonald’s parking lot, the day when we all first met.

I never in my life would have guessed that the three strangers who met me at my worst would still be around and care enough to celebrate my life. I could never be grateful enough for the light that these three people had shone upon me and guided me to the end of the dark tunnel.

Oh how time quickly goes by , because another year is added to my life . It’s my birthday and now I’ve learned to celebrate it with the people who love me back.

The past year might have been rough, but now I’ve never been happier— and it’s all thanks to the people who held me dear in their hearts. Most importantly to the three strangers who pulled me in their circle of chaos, thank you for making me feel loved and accepted then , and more so now. I Love you guys.

Max Verstappen , The 2 time world driver’s championship winner , had just officially announced his relationship with multi-business owner and Sky Sports Formula 1 photographer Y/N L/N . Both have confirmed their relations on instagram with a sweet and personal post , a few hours after a fan had leaked their attendance to a mutual friend’s concert . And was later on spotted strolling a locally owned flea market in Manchester.

The Dutch Red Bull driver and the Korean born photographer had been already close friends prior to the relationship ; often times within the company of Formula 1 drivers— Daniel Ricciardo and Lando Norris. The coming together of the couple was a pleasant surprise to the realm of motorsports. As fans continue to anticipate the kind of dynamic these two would bring to the paddock, specially with relation to the 1st driver of the Italian racing team Ferrari — who was linked to L/N before.

Y/N L/N has already been a paddock favorite amongst motorsport fans not only for her close knit friendship with the drivers and some of the team principals , but also for her professionalism on track. Y/N had stated in an interview before that her love of the sport had led her to the opportunity to intern for the Italian racing team, Ferrari — and was later on officially scouted by Sky Sports as one of their Senior Design Directors for their photography and videography sectors .

Moreover, the boom in popularity of Formula 1 in social media has lead teams scrambling for purchase— and the knowledge of Y/N L/N’s ending contract with Sky Sports has been their life line; as several of the racing teams have reportedly been in negotiations with L/N.

Nevertheless, due to the high probability of Y/N’s shift from Sky Sports to exclusively work for Red Bull Racing, some argue that lack of professionalism and partiality will be at play . But, such claims are quickly shut down when Red Bull had released a statement that proves that a contract was already in process, way before the relationship of the dutch champion and the accredited photographer has been established.

Still, even with the flames and barbs of the media , Verstappen and L/N are cool as a cucumber — as the two were spotted celebrating the photographer’s birthday with friends and loved ones before the end of month long formula 1 summer break.

The next Grand Prix is fast approaching. I do not know about you, but I believe that things will be a little more exciting for Formula 1.

Quiet Time 9/10

What am I feeling today?

Pretty tired😅 I start nursing clinical again this morning and I didn’t get to sleep as early as I wanted to last night. But! That’s because my family wanted to celebrate my birthday🥹 they bought a tiny cake and made my favorite food and sang happy birthday to me. I felt a little bad bc I was practically gone all day with school and errands and only got to spend an hour with them and today I’ll be gone for a while too ☹️ but I love and appreciate them and honestly kinda felt a bit overwhelmed from all the birthday love yesterday😅

JOB 31 NIV

‭‭Job‬ ‭31‬:‭2‬-‭4‬ ‭NIV‬‬

“For what is our lot from God above, our heritage from the Almighty on high? Is it not ruin for the wicked, disaster for those who do wrong? Does he not see my ways and count my every step?”

Basically what Job is saying here is that God sees everything that we do and we cannot hide anything from Him. Therefore if we act in wicked ways (any way that goes against His desire for us) then the lot as a result is ruin and disaster.

Keep in mind this is Old Testament, but it still applies to us if we do not repent.

Practical: confess to sin to other people in your life to hold you accountable and repent of it!

Here Job is going on to list all these things and that if he ever committed a certain sin or didn’t act accordingly in a righteous way, then yes he deserves the judgment and punishment for those sins.

A list of what he spoke of that still applies to us:

Walk in falsehood and deceit

Stepping away from the “path”

Letting our hearts be led by our eyes

Hands being defiled

Heart being enticed by another woman

Denying justice to his servants

Deny the desires of the poor or let the eyes of the widow grow weary

Keeping bread to himself and not sharing it with orphans

Not warming the needy by withholding clothes/garments

Putting his trust in money

Worship the sun or the moon (astrology)

Rejoiced or gloated in an enemy’s misfortune

Cursing against someone

Concealing his sin

Using something without payment

Practical: to be mindful of all these things and to be sure that we don’t fall victim to these acts! We must act accordingly by God’s standard even though it can be incredibly difficult or desire to do the opposite 🙏🏼

How do you feel about your legal name? Are you using it online and/or IRL? DESPIIIIISED my name while growing up, I used to be very short when I was younger so my entire family nicknamed me Fransie, which I preferred WAY more! But now that I'm one of the tallest ones they feel strange calling me that, however they often slip up hehehe. I used to be open about my first name and middle name but secretive about my last name online. I love my other names though ♥ Although people always assume I'm Italian because of it lol.
