Some of the people who bought apes NFTs are filling a class-action lawsuit, claiming they were mislead on the actual value of cringe simian jpgs.

While it's absolutely delightful to watch them finally come to terms with the fact that the NFT bubble was indeed a bubble (after repeatedly calling us idiots for telling them so), their claim against Sotheby's is nevertheless quite interesting!

Two years ago, Sotheby's ran an auction for 101 boring apes that sold way above the estimated price. It is now speculated that the buyer was actually Sam Bankman-Fried's FTX, and that these two colluded with Yuga to artificially inflate (even further) the (over)value of monkey cartoons.

Oh and apparently they're also suing the celebrities who promoted that shit, like Gwyneth Paltrow, Jimmy Fallon or Justin Bieber :'D
