Side Raises or Lateral Raises with kettlebell and Bodylastics @bodylastics Resistance Bands . This is a good exercise for the middle deltoids or middle shoulder.  Bands provide the most tension when the muscle is shortened.  For maximum strength and muscular development is it beneficial to have focused stress a muscle during every phase of the lengthening and shortening phase.  For this reason, I like to pair dumbbell or kettlebell exercises with bands or cable exercises.  Exhale as you raise your arms, pause at the top, and lower slowly while inhaling.  There is no need to elevate your arms above the horizontal line as this creates a lot of friction in the shoulder joint.  #fitspo #instagood #fit #fitness #gymlife #exercise #workout #trainertoronto #bootcamptoronto #fitfam #instafit #getfit #getouside #personaltrainer #muscle #bodybuilding #strength #aesthetic #physique #bodylastics #shoulders #kettlebell #kettlebellexercise #wod #follow #like

INDOOR BOOT CAMP (FOREST HILL) STARTS IN LESS THAN A WEEK!  REGISTER NOW! I am conducting an Indoor Boot Camp at 491 Eglinton Avenue West, Suite 400 (at Groove School of Dance @groovedanceto , www.grooveschoolofdance.com) starting November 29th.  The days and times are Wednesdays at 6:30pm and Saturdays at 8:15am.  Sessions are 1 hour.  This camp is running for 4 weeks.  Get an early start on your New Year’s resolution and get fit for spring! Rope Pull-up/Chin-up .  Here are some pull-ups using a Harbinger tricep rope. This is a great compound exercise for the lats, rhomboids, shoulders, and biceps.  I like to mix up my grip when I am working my upper back/lats and arms.  By using a rope there is more focus on the long head (outer head) of the biceps along with the lats.  I find you experience a better mind-muscle connection doing pull-ups/chin-ups with this grip (feel the “squeeze”).  Do the whole range of motion from a fully extended arm position.  Contract your abs and glutes (like almost all exercises) when performing this pull-up.  Try to feel your scapulae depressing – coming down and together.
