Do not let the size of this book get you down! Once you pick up, the story and struggle of Zélie Adebola will keep you turning pages. The writing is fantastic  with just the right amount of pacing despite being such a large novel. But once I started, I felt that I was zooming through the novel much quicker than other long fantasy novels. Adeyemi weaves a beautiful prose which compliments such a vibrant world. The mystical magic system feels real at once point as it had once upon a time with another series of fantasy novels. All elements of Orisha are brought alive – with immaculate history, and the divide among maji/diviners vs. nobles raises genuine questions in my mind about the same thing still happening in the society. I started to relate to the different types of magic and by the end, as a by-thought, I wanted to know what kind of magic would I had possessed. ALL OF IT HAS ME HOOKED. I’m totally obsessed with this world and cannot wait to see it expand in the following novels. This book is worthy of every bit of hype it has received till now and even before publication. A highly recommended YA-Fantasy read, for all those who are still stuck to the previous worlds as well as for the ones who are willing to explore new ones.

I just realized that it's been ages since I posted an SoC post and whaaaaaat. 😧⁣ ⁣ I'm proud to say that my immortal love for this series has convinced three people to read this series, one who has already already finished it. And she's also sent me the requisite capital letter screaming and crying emojis at 2 in the night. 😂💃🏽⁣ Hey there @memoirsofasultana 😘 ⁣ The fact that SoC is being adapted into a TV series still blows my mind too. I'm so conflicted? I want everyone who hasn't read the books to love it but? I don't know? The books were here first, and I was here first, so I love it more asdfghhjkl. 😭⁣ ⁣ And here I call myself a decent writer. 😂⁣ ⁣ Really got my fingers croosed hoping it comes out well. Although considering the success rate of decent book to screen adaptations, I may be a teensy bit worried. Back after a break for my July wrap-up

I have not been getting any inspiration to write. Hence the break. But hopefully I will be more active from now on.

I read 10 books in July. Some were great, some were big disappointments. I participated in the @booksnbeyond monthly readathon and joined two book clubs.

🍁 Where do you buy books from? . I usually buy books from Amazon and now that Book Depository have started to deliver in India. I'm super stoked, that I ordered a UK version of #Legendary from Book Depository. Which taught me patience waiting for a book nearly more than a month. That's why i had to wait for this haul . Hello lovelies, So this is my bookmark collection ft wreck this journal ft coffee. 😺😺😺 I honestly never get a bookmark when I need one, and many times I'm just too lazy to pick one and end up using a makeshift item right next to me. 🙈🙈🙈 The weirdest thing I've used as a bookmark are the perfume/cologne sample strips. When bored at a mall or airport, I go down to the Cologne aisle and usually spray the sample strips with a scent and use them as a bookmark, and now I've many fancy cologne smelling books😁 🐙🐙🐙 Also the pink bookmark is my favorite bookmark to carry on a public transport, guess what's written on it??? "I'm good at breaking nuts"😸 🍑🍑🍑🍑 Me and my roommate had this giving embarrassing gifts to each other thing. What's the most out of context wierd gift you've given to someone?😜 ☕☕☕☕ Also you can see the bookish coaster by @booksnbeyond being at use.
