The Grady Hendrix version of Nancy Thompson, except uhh...

I would describe Heather as Freddy- if he was the final girl turned deadbeat old woman. She's prickly and oppertunistic; the kind of person to rat you out if it means her survival and then come around asking for a handout when you win the lottery. Water under the bridge hey?? She's a chaotic badass who desperately needs a good therapist 😅

Barry Milligan / The Jockey and Ponchinellos, Dancing Jax, Robin Jarvis.

Barry's a hardass, angry, depressed, ex rugby player school principle and the Jockey is his creepy wicked jovial prankster alter ego who takes control of the body basically and fucks up everyone's lives (: 😅

The Ponchinello's are goblin-like monsters who are nasty, filthy, violent freaks of nature who, canonnically, the closest thing to Love they feel is great hatred and a desire to rip you apart (: So yeah. Obviously I love them??? XD My favourites are Yikker (Who loves to dress like a catholic priest- which is disgustingly ironic) and Bezuel (Who fancies himself a gangster rap artist but probably could not string 15 coherent words together).

(Also- note- I imagine these creatures to be quite large like orcs. It wasn't until the last 50 pages of the last book that I realised they're supposed to be squat lil things. I still picture them huge though cuz who's gonna stop me?? Huh??)

Basta, Inkheart, Cornelia Funke.

The great evil Capricorn's spurned henchman. He is all too happy to do all kinds of nasty dealings for his boss, he's terribly superstitious, and he chews mint leaves constantly because a girl one time wouldn't kiss him cuz his breath stank (... he killed her I'm pretty sure.). The best part is that Capricorn ends up chucking him in prison with the others who Basta helped to catch and he is SUCH A SAD PATHETIC TRAITOR OF A CREATURE.

His knife is his best friend.

Peter takes the vial with a shaking hand and twists off the cap. The liquid trembles inside it, almost spilling over the lip. He holds it under his nose to smell it.

"How much should I drink?" he says, and I think I hear his teeth chattering.

"I dont think it makes a difference," I say.

"Okay. Well... here goes." He lifts the vial up to the light like he is toasting me.

When he touches it to his mouth, I say, "Be brave."
