Here is my awards eligibility post for The Shabti, my spooky, sweet, and joyfully pulpy debut. A reformed phony medium and a gentle Egyptology professor grapple with a haunted artifact (and fall in love).
Historical fantasy/supernatural thriller with a tender queer romance at its heart.

"Public libraries are our cultural diamonds. They enable readers’ imaginations to sparkle, they support thousands of local groups, they provide advice to businesses and charities, enabling them to flourish, they give individuals who might otherwise be lonely or cold a space to open up. We lose them at our peril. So it is beyond brilliant that The Bookseller is creating a new Library of the Year Award, which will help give recognition to vital projects striving to put libraries back at the heart of the communities they serve."
Chris Bryant in "The British Book Awards launches new prize for public libraries," The Bookseller, 30.08.24

The Bribery Awards
If you’re a writer, you know getting book sales is tough. To get people to turn off their screens and pick up your novel, you need social proof. And what’s more convincing than the approval of some random guy on the internet? That’s where literary awards come in.
I know what you’re thinking. “Me win award? I can’t words good like an alphabet wizard guy.” But now you don’t have to. Now there’s a literary award for talentless hacks just like you.
Introducing The Bribery Awards!
