In November of 1905, Jane Sterling, a young American socialite and familial black sheep, seeks a chance to indulge in her love for paleontology between attending archeological lectures at the University of Cambridge in her father’s stead. After a chance reunion with Terence Hayes, a reclusive gentleman, offers her the once in a lifetime opportunity to appraise fossils found on his property, she can hardly resist, and lets him whisk her away to his ancestral home of the Drowning House.
Isolated in the middle of the vast Wolf’s Run marshes that are marred by unfriendly locals and legends of beasts stalking the reeds under the cover of night, Jane finds she is all too happy to leave when her work is finished. But when violent storms cause waters in the marsh to rise, washing out the roads, she becomes trapped on the grounds and is forced to face something hungry that comes to scratch at her door — something not quite… human.
Imprisoned in the house by the marshes and a potential beast stalking within the reeds, Jane is pulled into a game of survival as she deciphers demonic secrets plaguing a family’s bloodline and battles her growing attraction towards a man caging dark secrets beneath his skin.

Sometimes they fancy a shag, sometimes they don't, sometimes they never do or only for special moments or people. REGARDLESS THEY MATTER AND DESERVE TO TAKE UP SPACE.
Yesterday was International Asexuality Day, but ace books are good to read all year round. Asexual means a person doesn't feel sexual feelings or attraction to others, but this is a spectrum and can vary widely from person to person. Note that attraction does not equal romance, and asexual is not the same as aromantic. Some people are sex repulsed, some are not. Some people are sex positive, some are not.
Demisexuality falls under the asexual umbrella, and means a person doesn't feel attraction until developing a strong connection with a person. Two of my books, Phantom and Rook, and Matsdotter and Adrastus, have demisexual mains.
There are many different shades of Ace, and many different types of stories just waiting for you to read.

Just a quick note from your friendly neighborhood bookworm/indie author
if you use kindle for the majority of your library, they will be shutting down the function that allows you to download your files and transfer them via USB on the 26th of February. Which doesn't sound like a huge deal, but this also means that if a book is taken off Amazon for any reason—like it being banned—they can scrape it off your kindle as well. So maybe backup your library?
Edit: as an indie author I feel like I should make a small note that this is not an excuse to say “fuck Amazon I’ll just pirate my books”. Please don’t do that. No one’s reaction so far has been that but I’m begging you not to react that way. That doesn’t hurt Amazon it hurts authors.
Some alternatives are
- check and see if the author sells their books on other marketplaces. Hint: any not enlisted on Ku are probably wide
- check your library. If they’re not at your library request them.
- if all else fails, reach out to the author. I have 100% hunted down a way for my book to be available to a reader that couldn’t access it for whatever reason. And I’d do it again.
Just for the love of 🧀 don’t pirate them.

LESBIAN GIRLGROUP NOVEL OUT NOW
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Here she is, my pseudo-dystopian, psychological-horror-adjacent, gay-ass girlgroup novel is now officially OUT in the world!
AMBROSIA follows an international superstar and second-most-lucrative member of her girlgroup from the point where she's a grossly ambitious teenager being broken down and reshaped by the industry's leading celebrity training program, to the peak of her career where she's lost herself in the big diva persona of Ambrosia, bleeding from her nose more than is usual, and hiding a shaved head from the world.
It's a seven-year long story of management-dictated shower times, performance-enhancing drugs, and ill-advised affairs with beloved and behated group-mates, told in increments by a semi-reliable narrator over the span of only the one fateful day where a life in service of being looked at finally translates into clawing out eyes.
If that sounds like your 🫵 kinda thing, you can grab a copy of AMBROSIA from Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Blackwells, or wherever else you get your books from! Bonus points if you ask your local bookstore to order it for you!
You can also add AMBROSIA on Goodreads and/or read the first couple chapters for free right here!
Thank you for your support and thank you, as always, @shalida for the incredible cover. Artwork of the Moxxy girls by me!

So with tiktok being banned and Instagram rapidly becoming less usable as Zuckerburg does *motions vaguely* that, I'm finding myself wanting to come back here and see if this is a good place to be able to talk about my books and hopefully find new readers.
Queer Indie authors of horror especially, I'd love to connect!

A DEMON'S NAME UPON YOUR LIPS
It is the curse of ADHD that, at least for me, I'm always running to the next project, and then the next, chasing the new shiny thing. And that has served me well in my creative endeavors, as much as it has stymied me. But I really do think that I caught something special in my first novel, A DEMON'S NAME UPON YOUR LIPS. And thanks to how my brain works, I rarely ever promote it! Which seems unfair for how much effort I put in, alongside my friends who patiently helped me edit it.
It's a sapphic romance between a (newly minted) Duke and the demon she summons. It's a fantasy which takes place in a secondary world loosely based on Victorian-era Europe, though without any of the queerphobic, or even sexist, hatred endemic to its real-world counterpart (or even to our modern day). It's fast paced, gay as fuck, and I poured my heart and soul into it.
I'd be honored if you picked it up; it's only $5.99. About the price of a Latte.
Grab it at the following places:
itch.io (PDF, ePub, and mobi all included!)
Kobo link (ePub version)
Apple Books, Smashwords, and a few others (ePub version)
Amazon (Kindle version)
Barnes and Noble (ePub)

Synopsis below the cut:
Lucia is a succubus, a demon with the power to shape the emotions and passions of mortals. Summoned often into the world of Melodia, she takes pride in upholding her demonic contracts to the best of her abilities. She likes to think she does her job well … though a string of recent failures say otherwise.
Talia, the recently elevated Duke of Fallmire, summons Lucia for a simple reason: to pose as her wife and fulfill marital obligations to the satisfaction of Parliament. All to say, just a few weeks of walking around the estate and playing nice with the neighbors before a conveniently tragic death. Quick and easy.
But immediately, Lucia smells blood in the water. Behind closed doors, the Duke plots vengeance upon those who killed her father—and the demon wants in. Revenge, after all, is much more fun … and more lucrative, to boot.
But can Lucia predict how hard she’d fall for the Duke? (Not a chance). And can the Duke find it in her vengeful heart to love?
Spice Level: lightly described nudity, fade-to-black sex.
64,000 words.

I am crawling through life right now. Ace awareness week was back in October, but here are a bunch of ace books for International Asexuality Day!
Tumblr media
Happy Ace Awareness Week!
Many of the characters I write are demisexual, but not all. Phantom and Rook, and Matsdotter and Adrastus, have a demisexual main.
There are many different shades of Ace, and many different types of stories you can read. What are you waiting for?
