Another day, another set of Russian war crimes.
Maybe Putin is having a hissy fit because his ventriloquist dummy Tucker Carlson got booted by Fox News this week.
Russian air strikes have hit cities across Ukraine, including the capital Kyiv, killing at least 12 people.
Ten people died in the central city of Uman after missiles hit residential buildings, officials said.
And a woman and her three-year-old daughter were killed in the city of Dnipro, according to the local mayor.
There were also explosions in the cities of Kremenchuk and Poltava, according to the Interfax news agency.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said 10 residential buildings were damaged in Uman and said the attacks showed further international action needed to be taken against Russia.
"Evil can be stopped by weapons - our defenders are doing it. And it can be stopped by sanctions - global sanctions must be enhanced," he said in a tweet.
The head of the Kyiv city military administration said it was the first Russian missile attack on the capital in 51 days.
Tired of the war? Then give Ukraine F-16 fighter jets now.
Too many people are forgetting that this is a war of conquest by Russia. The war will be over when Russia is pushed out of Ukraine.
As Sec. Antony Blinken and others have said: If Russia stops fighting – that’s the end of the war. If Ukraine stops fighting – that’s the end of Ukraine.

Bob Kunzinger: Moral Absolutism | Do Not Kill Children
“Let me put this right out there at the top: It appears Israel’s campaign against Hamas in The Gaza Strip has expanded to eliminate as much of the Palestinian Race as possible, and to carry out on them what Hitler and the Nazis attempted to achieve against the Jews during World War Two.”          This is how I started class last week.   I decided to bring the students from my college class on…

Do you like to use the Mushroom Cloud as a fun Barbieheimer meme? If you do, it's fine so long as you know what the cloud caused and what it symbolizes. If you don't know the circumstances of the mushroom cloud, please search ''Hiroshima Nagasaki atomic bomb people (with your safe search off)' on Google Images. *The images are very disturbing. Please DO NOT try it if you are sensitive to extremely disturbing images.
I'm Japanese. In Japan, unfortunately, many people have never seen the old pictures of the real effects of the mushroom cloud. We learn about the atomic bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki (both are cities in Japan) in primary school or junior high, when we are about 10-14 years old. Many adults think it's too risky to show children the pictures because it shows human bodies, which look like human charcoal. Living people got severe burns on their faces, their backs, and their whole bodies looked like melting wax (additionally, most of the people in the pictures are citizens, not soldiers. There are many kids, babies, and old people, of course.) Even though it happened in our land, many people (including me, I'm ashamed to say though) don't feel it was an actual event because it seems very unreal and it happened almost 80 years ago. Fortunately, I had a chance to learn about the atomic bombing and see several pictures of it. Now I know what happened in 1945. I think some people here/outside of Japan realize it as well.
I don't blame people born outside of Japan who have never known/learned about the effects of the atomic bombing. I want to ask you to learn and understand what happened under that iconic mushroom cloud before you make a meme with it. If you think 'So what?' after that, I will have nothing more to say to you.
I've not seen Barbie or Oppenheimer because they are not released here yet. But I feel they are both very interesting. I'm looking forward to watching them. I wish I could have fun watching them without any distractions before going to the theatres.
Don't get me wrong. I know that during World War II the Japanese government did tons of terrible things to people outside and inside of Japan. I just want people to know that atomic bombing is a very serious issue, and using the images of the mushroom cloud as a meme/design is like using a symbol of the Nazi/KKK as a fun meme. It's not fun. Atomic bombing should never happen anywhere in the world.

Saturday October 7th is Putin's birthday – we should regard it as a day of ill omen.
It's Putin's second birthday since he launched his three-day "special operation" to conquer Ukraine. He must have some idea by now of what an international laughing stock his inept army is.
Putin's latest dubious effort seems to be mining the Black Sea.
Britain has accused Russia of plotting to sabotage civilian cargo ships loaded with Ukrainian grain by planting sea mines on the approaches to the country’s Black Sea ports. Based on what it said was declassified intelligence, the UK said Russia did not want to directly attack merchant vessels using Ukraine’s newly created humanitarian corridor with missiles, but instead try to destroy them covertly. Russia would then seek to blame Ukraine for the loss of any shipping in an attempt to evade responsibility, the British Foreign Office continued, and the UK said it was going public in order to deter Moscow from carrying out the plan. James Cleverly, the UK foreign secretary, accused Russia of the “pernicious targeting” of civilian shipping: “The world is watching – and we see right through Russia’s cynical attempts to lay blame on Ukraine for their attacks.” Merchant ships carrying Ukrainian grain for export have been under threat since July, when Russia pulled out of a year-long initiative designed to safeguard food exports despite the war between the two countries.
Contrary to what Putin thinks, Russia doesn't own the Black Sea. It's divided into exclusive economic zones (EEZ) related to the countries which border it. Three of those countries (Bulgaria, Romania, and Turkey) happen to be NATO members.
Tumblr media
If Russia places mines in the EEZs of NATO countries or if Russian mines drift into their waters, it risks NATO activating Article 5 – the mutual defense proviso in the NATO treaty.
Bulgaria has already been holding discussions with NATO regarding Russian provocations.
Bulgaria, NATO discuss response to Russian blockade in Black Sea
In the meantime, Putin's Russia continues to commit war crimes even as I type this.
Ukraine updates: Russian attack kills 48 at shop in Kharkiv
Russia has no fucking business in Ukraine. FULL STOP. The only possible moral response to Putin's Red Nazism is to give Ukraine all the assistance it needs.
If you are in the United States and have a Republican member of the House representing your district, tell him or her to get their ass in gear and quit using aid to Ukraine as an internal party political football.
Representatives | house.gov
If they have a district office not far from you then consider paying a personal visit to state your views. Your tax dollars are paying for that office – not for them to find new ways to grovel to Donald Trump.

People are waiting for things to be history while it’s happening so they can say “oh why couldn’t we do anything to stop it?”
You can do something to stop it.
Murder is happening right now. People are being killed right now. Starved out. Infected with disease from manufactured conditions. Their homes and community being torn apart because of sickening and disgusting wishes from the people in power above us assuring it happens.
Stand up. Do something.
Don’t wait and say we should’ve done something to help when we could’ve. You’re complacent if you aren’t helping now.

Just saw an anglophonic news program talking head in Beruit, during a report about the Iranian ballistic missile attack on Israel, point out that Israelis have air raid sirens and bomb shelters, but the Lebanese do not.
This is factually true, but just...cast out there as an emotional appeal, completely unexamined.
Let's examine it just a little:
Why does Israel have emergency sirens and bomb shelters? Why doesn't Lebanon have them?
Israel has them because they have made repeated, conscious decisions to invest in their top priority: the safety of Israeli civilians.
Which, coincidentally, is the very same reason they are compelled to degrade Hezbollah's ability to threaten Israeli civilians and the same reason they'll now strike Iran.
What does Hezbollah prioritize in their spending? Not the safety of the Lebanese people. They spend their money trying to destroy Israel. How does Iran prioritize its spending? On weapons and proxies for attacking Israel.
Iran reportedly launched about 180 ballistic missiles at Israel today. Israel will almost certainly respond with air strikes on Iran in hopes of degrading Iran's ability (either military or economic) to attack Israel or to cultivate/arm proxies to attack Israel for them.
And when Iranian civilians die in these attacks, the anglophonic media will ignore the 180 ballistic missiles Iran just launched at Israel, it will ignore how the regime in Iran prioritizes the destruction of Israel over the wellbeing of its own citizens...and will fault Israel for those civilian deaths.
If Israel lay down its weapons today and refused to fight, it would take maybe a couple of days for Israel to be wiped out.
If Iran and its proxies lay down their weapons and declined to continue their attacks on Israel, there would be peace and stability in the region.
Netanyahu is a momzer, but he's not wrong that Iran's regime is the primary cause of instability in the region. The only questions now are:
- How long until Israel strikes Iran?
- What will the targets be?
- How effective will Israel be in degrading Iran's ability to continue to attack Israel?
- How long will it take the Western media to blame Israel for defending itself?

Look, if you call people antisemetic for supporting Palestine, they are also allowed to call you Islamophobic and colonizer-apologists for supporting Isreal. If you think it doesn't make sense, stop doing it.
