Medication induced anorexic thoughts
I'm so used to hearing of weight change from meds being associated with weight gain, so i thought nothing of it when heard this med im on can cause weight change.
I had developed nausea while eating, upset stomach, indigestion, feeling unmotivated to make or consume food, loss of appetite, and diarrhea(was told go away in few days, been 2 weeks) All side effects of the med and resulting in rapid weight loss. Which put me in starvation mode and triggered my anorexic thoughts to resurface, and i know im at risk of relapse again while on these meds
With sertraline(zoloft) 7% of children lost more then 7% of there bodweight and 2% of adolescents lost the same (im going through a second puberty so think i fit that category) on other hand 1% of people gained weight
Weight loss ussually levels off after a few months, so thats ussually fine for people in "regular" weight range and above (as long as not rapid weight loss) but for someone thats underweight/low body fat percent this causes extreme health risks, and for those recovering from anorexia there is the increased risk of relapse
This is a warning for people that are underweight andor recovering from an eating disorder with taking this med, just be careful

Is putting on any size by doing bodweight stuff realistic? I can't go to a gym for one reason or another but really aren't happy how I am, you keep mentioning the length of workouts? How does that change things? Also how in gods name can you eat 3k in a day and do anything else besides eating constantly? what do you eat? Sorry for long ask but u really seem to have your head screwed on with this stuff, also uour transformation is v inspirational! Thanks in advance
I mean you’ll put on some size with calisthenics, but it wont really be PUSHING your body like weight training does! The length of your workouts matter because lifting weight is still burning calories. Theres only a small difference between cardio and lifting in terms of how many you’re burning so you dont want to spend 2-2.5 hours in the gym because a) You’re burning too many calories B) You’re probably overworking yourself and C) You might be taking too much rest time in between sets. I always see people on their phone or making conversation at the gym and all I can think of is how much time they’re wasting! If you lose your pump you may as well just pack up and go home because then you’re not really doing anything to your body. As for eating, you’re right. I’m always planning my next move on what to eat and it’s a lot of work. However, it works. I usually eat things like oatmeal, eggs, sweet potatoes, chicken, brown rice, farro, broccoli, protein shakes, peanut butter, some of the healthier options at work and pasta! As for cheat meals I can never resist a burger.

1) 45 secs skipping 2) 45 secs bodyweight squats 3) 45 secs skipping 4) 45 secs plank 5) 45 secs skipping 6) 45 secs alternating forward lunge, hands behind head 7) 45 secs skipping 8) 45 secs side plank left 9) 45 secs skipping 10) 45 secs side plank right 11) 45 secs skipping 12) 45 secs alternating curtsey lunge, arms raised
Rest for 1 minute, repeat circuit 2-3 times
