“He WHAT?!” Penny shouts.

Yang stares at her, dumbfounded. “...No one told you?” She asks.

But Yang's some sort of saint, really Blake's convinced. She moves, sitting on the large chair in their room, tucked in the corner to make room for her nest.

"Come here," Yang says softly, "come sit on my lap, let me hold you for a while?" She offers it, gives it up as an option. Yang's good like that, never forcing, always giving her an out if she wants to take it.

The second snippet of the first chapter of my upcoming Bees fic A Mark You Won't Forget. I mentioned earlier today, but I'm aiming to have the first chapter releasing on Monday, so I hope you all check it out then!

I wanted to share this passage as it's the section that came from the initial post that inspired this entire fic (which you can find here if you're curious). It feels weird how much time I've spent on just this one chapter, with all my rewrites and edits and stuff, and I even decided to cut it short and split what was initially going to be one chapter into two.

I was telling a friend about a fic I once read but now I can't find it 😔

It was a BMBLB (Yang x Blake) fanfic and I kid you not it's a porn studio.

Like Blake and Ilia run it and Yang ends up joining (basically because she keeps getting harassed and her thought process was she might as well get paid for it)

Yang: *asking Blake while propping her head in her hands* “KitKat, would you still love me if I was a worm?”

*Ruby looks over to Weiss who is silent*

For your impromptu AMA - Would you ever consider writing a follow-up to "Fractured Ribs and Horsehair". I've already said this in the past, but it's not only my favorite BMBLB fanfic, but it's one of my favorite RWBY fanfics out there! I'm a sucker for the wild west and horse stories.

Sort of? I initially was planning to, but I'm having a hard enough time getting Concrete Trail done, so those plans are definitely on ice, at least for fan fiction.

That said - I am starting to more seriously consider the idea of writing a book for publishing that's essentially a spiritual successor to FR&H. I tossed around the idea of re-writing FR&H itself for a while, but it's not really possible in its current form. I did have a pretty cool concept idea for that at first, but it would be hard to avoid real-world themes that I'm frankly not qualified to tackle. So, spiritual successor is looking more and more likely - and honestly, I love the core story and clearly so do a few people. I think the gay horse girl story will continue through my hands one way or another!
