This is just a Blu Eyes appreciation post. Their music is absolutely amazing and was super helpful for me when I was going through a tough time with my chronic illness, so I’d like to share because that’s how I am.

what’s a song that breaks your heart?

i’ll name a few!

1. diphylleia grayi - jonghyun. it’s “kpop” but it’s more of a ballad with a haunting melody. he compares his love to the diphylleia grayi flower, saying how it gets wet and wilts away. how time passes and the love fades, how the rain washes the leaves away as the flowers soak, just as time washes away the love. this song means a lot to me because i was such a huge fan of him and his group SHINee, and unfortunately jonghyun took his life. it was so hard to deal with, but this song and it’s moody sadness somehow helped me find that peace.

2. stuck in my head - BLÜ EYES. i relate to this song so much, and it’s so sad, but i know a lot of people can relate to never feeling good enough for anyone, not even yourself. imposter syndrome is so real.

3. if i’m there - bad omens. this song is about not realizing someone you loved was going through a hard time til it’s too late. it has such a powerful message and serves as a reminder to always always reach out to people. make sure your people are okay.
