Go team blood donor! I donated for the first time in October. I was so excited I'd recently become eligible after living in the wrong place for too long. It knocked me on my ass for a couple of days, and I can totally commiserate with your sick day.

Woohoo blood donations!! I had gotten out of the habit during the mandatory wait after a tattoo, I think, and then that was like... ten years ago... so I thought I should get back to it. (I was also worried about the medications I was taking, but it turns out neither ADHD meds nor antidepressants are on the medication deferral list, at least in the US? At least not the ones I was taking.)

I also got a t-shirt, this last time, and am feeling, like, solidly 85% today, plus it is possible that my post-blood-loss fatigue shut off my porn-writing inhibitions yesterday, so... really, there are many advantages to being a blood donor.

What is more, the few studies I read about this indicated the opposite (and probably why she doesn't mention details) that is: men who received women's blood had poorer outcomes. But it was a very marginal number that as many people said could be attributed to many other things and wider research was necessary.

Another Day To Donate Blood

There is a nationwide blood shortage and I’m doing what I can to help with that. Since I work for a blood bank it’s something that concerns me daily. Donating is a great thing to do and it’s easy. My next donation will be in November.
