as some of you may know wafaa (@wafans-blog) has recently reached her goal amount for her own gfm campaign. along with this momentous achievement, she has also gotten word from her siblings, muhammad and shaima, after months with no contact. thankfully, they and their own families are unharmed (14 people total; 10 of them are children) however, they are still stuck in al-mawasi camp- the youngest among them is a newborn, salem:

ghazzans are being mercilessly attacked. beyond bombs and bullets, they are also facing biological warfare whilst living under occupation

the world health organisation's director-general has said "it is only a matter of time" before the thousands of children in gaza are infected with polio. a disease [which is highly infectious, invades the nervous system, and can lead to paralysis] that had once been eradicated is now becoming the latest threat to ghazzans

as a newborn, salem has yet to receive any vaccinations, leaving him especially vulnerable to disease. and while WHO has sent over 1 million polio vaccines to be administerd-- it is likely one of many supplies being withheld from ghazzans (but is available to israeli soldiers)
