"There's Papa's perfect little princess!" Papa said as you waddled into the dining room where he was hosting a dinner party.

Your cheeks turned bright red as you looked around the room, noticing that the eyes of every, beautiful, maturely dressed person in the room was on you.

Your childish pink footie pajamas did little to hide your full diaper. You sucked harder on your purple pacifier and clutched your blankie even closer to your chest as the immaculately dressed party goers pinched your cheeks and cooed at you

"What are you doing up, little one? You know it's past your bedtime," Papa said softly as he walked up to you and held your cheek in his hand.

Your blush deepened. You knew he was right. You were supposed to be in bed. But, the party was keeping you up and... well, you wanted to be a part of it.

"I had a bad dream, Papa," you lisped at your caregiver giving him the most pathetic puppy dog eyes you could muster, "I can't sleep."

To your delight, the hushed sound of sympathetic cooes from the woman at the party followed your words.

"I'm sorry, sweet pea, but it really is past your bed. Let's get you tucked..." Before Papa could finish his sentence, he was interrupted by a cacophony of voices.

"Let her stay..."

"The poor thing..."

"She's so cute!"

You couldn't help but smile behind your paci in triumph.

With a deep sigh, Papa gave in.

"Well, cutie, I guess you get to stay!"

You giggled in glee and gave Papa a huge hug.

You spent the rest of the night being passed from knee to knee by the party's participants. You listened quietly as they talked about adult things like politics, business, and the economy.

Sure, you were wearing a soggy diaper and weren't allowed to talk, but it was the biggest you had felt in months. Plus, the cuddles and attention weren't so bad either.

As Papa tucked you back into your crib at the end of the night, you smiled at him contentedly.

"Oh, don't look so happy, baby girl. Papa knows what you did. You may have gotten your way tonight, but we will discuss punishments in the morning," Papa kissed your forehead before continuing, "Sleep tight, little one."

Your stomach dropped a little at Papa's words. But, as you let your eyelids close and drifted off to sleep, you couldn't help but think your little ploy was worth whatever punishment Papa could come up with.

Well, at least, you hoped so.
