I've never understood the argument that helluva boss dosnt have enough female representation. Besides nearly every episode, actually passing the bechdel test, something very rare for any show in any medium, especially adult animation. Yall realize if any of the male characters that we have rn where gender swaped people would be so fucking sexist about it they can't handle mimzy.

So a review on Helluva boss So2 ep 6

Ok so gonna break this review down into positives and negatives with my additional thoughts.

Positives:

So always start off with this, big props and love to the animation team we know know and see your struggle working under Vivienne and animating her over-complicated designs. Props to the BG team really stunning backgrounds, was actually a bit over the top for me (Ozzie's palace and especially the dildo factory shit was moving way too fast) but did pause to have a look at the BGs it is really pretty, the shit pacing made everything a visual blur tho.

VA work stunning love always a joy to hear Alex and James in any VA work tho Fizz's song was eyyy not the best but don't blame Alex it was a shittly written song in general especially when it went to the heavy metal part, overstimulating af and again shit pacing during the song and the flashing visuals gave me a headache. Striker's new VA, Ed's voice really grew on me he should've been Striker in the 1st place because I know for a fact Norman couldn't reprise his role for future episodes.

I loved Ozzie and Fizz's relationship especially the end scene where you can see Ozzie development or got hold of the best technology to give Fizz functional limbs, was a tender scene their relationship and interactions made me smile. I'll give Viv 1 ty for not fucking up their relationship, ty Viv (I can be nice to her :). Tho 1 scene that bothered me... the 12 sec Ozzie dong scene 💀 my soul it was just so jarring especially with the fast pacing. Felt like a race car coming to an immediate stop then speeding off again. Would've like the scene replaced with Fizz telling Bliz something nice about Ozzie, why Fizz likes him. I'm tired of queer couples/pairings in this show describing their partner in 2 ways, 1. how good they are in bed or 2. they got x anatomy that's amazing. But its Viv writing this ep, sigh her and her damn middle school sex jokes I'll let it slide.

Now negatives:

I said it before I'll say it for all eternity, the pacing was dogshit bad oh my soul wtf... Viv, Adam whoever I know you guys don't listen to criticism but if any criticism you take fix your damn pacing 😑. I had to pause multiple times just to see what has happening, what was said, what this paper/sign etc said. It was bad, and that paired with the overdetailed BGs and character designs, for the 1st time ever I got overstimulted from a HB ep and had to take a 5 min break to rest my eyes (was by Fizz's song). Its a noisey spinning kaleidoscope this ep, so unpleasant and its all pacing. Stay on certain scenes a bit longer and allow the audience to take in the scene before them (that flackback scene) its makes a difference. If you get overwhelmed/overstimlated ect by such visuals I recommend watching the leaked episode its much better in terms of pacing since its mostly storyboards and there is no color, plus its just the VAs talking with no background music and zero to minimal sound effects.

I didn't care for Crimson in this episode, I know he became Viv's favorite 😒 but seeing this fucker back so soon, it wasn't enjoyable, especially since the only reason he's in this ep is for a "big score" 😑. Also I'm tired of this over convenient plots, Fizz so happened to be in the greed ring and so happened to run into Blitz and Striker so happened to be in greed meeting with Crim who need a man for a "big score" AND SO HAPPENED Striker sees Fizz/Blitz fighting outside the window 🙃. Its all too convenient for me it takes me out and I then think how the plot coming together is ridiculous.

Striker is so under utilized. Since Viv hates him (confirmed by sources I can't pull now apologies) and she wrote this episode, everything established of Striker in So1 is destroyed. He's a husk of his intended character, all talk no show, a misogynistic clown who you can see Viv has no care writing him properly because she doesn't like him which is fucking horrible, this woman will butcher an integral villian, one with a good motivation (he hates blue-bloods) all because "oh I don't like him he's not in my fav OC list", petty af.

It still remains the same though now we see it wasn't Wally holding the cake just some other imp and the card Bliz made for Fizz was a love confession still doesn't justify his reaction shoving the imp and his still underlying jealousy of Fizz since they were young. Yes it was backing off from a love confession/ashamed he's not as good a performer as Fizz, Blitz was jealous of Fizz. Made another post saying how I like how Fizz sees his disability, he's content, happy, has Ozzie who understands him and even made/went out his way to get Fizz the best prosthetics to better his quality of life, I like that good on Fizzy :).

5. Going to be a separate long post on (ಠ_ಠ) Blitz, THE FUCKING BIRD IS BACK 💀💀💀 why your rotisserie chicken ass not in hospital or we just skipping past that and how Viv keeps I'm gonna say it, forcing her characters to have daddy issues by writing this fucking irritating basic fanfic trope of killing the mother offscreen/not having the mother in the picture/us seeing her face. A commenter pointed this out and it irritates me because its the 3rd time she does this, she show Tilla (Blitz's mom) in pictures, you think there would be an episode revolving around Blitz's childhood etc but no she's "in" a fast paced pitty party flashback. This woman really can't show an ounce of respect to any female characters.

Learning about your ocs has been fun! I was wondering if you have name origins for the clones?

OH BOY anon you've accessed the CHCU (clonehub cinematic universe) DEEP LORE

Waaaaay early in development, around the time that I a) watched less anime and b) started getting more in tune with being Igbo, I'd designed the clone's names to have short and long forms. Bliz would be "Bliz" for short, but then something else as a "full name" that sounded Igbo (to me, at least). Everyone on CS was like this. Kiki would have named them as part of a long and tricky process for all of them becoming "family".

However, then I had another perspective shift and I thought to myself, "Well, first of all coding them as such wouldn't work, secondable a Jedi naming like seven different clones? No." I wanted them all to have more of a say in their names, their origins, and their personal meanings, so that concept was quickly dropped.

Marik chose his name because it sounded nice to him. Edger as well. Ratchet used to be a noisemaker and thus he was dubbed that by his old squad in the 501st, but his personality's changed quite a bit. Also this was before "ratchet" became a classist and misogynistic and generally anti-Black term in popular language lmao.

I wanted some of their names to sound less "generic" or noun-based the way that clones' names in canon do (hardcase, kickback, etc). Hence, again, Marik, Edger, Ratchet, and Cord.

Actually Cord's name came about because when s1e16 of the clone wars was airing and they had the mystery clone (slick), my brother and I didn't know what his name was (obviously). So we dubbed him Cord until we got a name. And now I'm using it for my guy.

In-universe, Ridge chose his name because he thought it sounded tough. He was the runt of his squad, he was slow, he was picked on, and he was being abused by the drill sergeant in charge of their cohort. He wanted a "leave me alone" name, but him being your typical child, what sounded Tough and Scary to him back them is really just a normal name. I think at some point he also would have been named Ridge because he had a mohawk, also so he could look tough. Now though he just has an undercut (though in my head I do still sometimes see the mohawk).

Once upon a time, "Bliz" was short for "Blizzard", but I like how just Bliz sounds. Often, peope misread it as "blitz". He, Brucer, and Bimmie had an alliteration thing going on that I liked.

See now Jax is special because his name is deliberately generic. He chose it because it sounded decent as a name. There wasn't any emotional journey towards it like with Ridge, and there wasn't a quirky backstory to it like with Cord. Jax is Jax because Jax is normie, it's run of the mill, it's boring. Jax as a character is meant to be the Most Average clone you can imagine, besides the crippling anxiety and baldness. He's a nobody, he thinks he's nothing, he hardly even thinks he's a person worthy of desires, and he's got a big 'ol crush on Kiki. In some ways, some of the critiques people in his life have of his "runaway loyalties/feelings" is along the lines of "Who do you think you are? You're not special".

Kiki's name didn't use to be Nkerinna. That I've made closer to sounding Igbo as I made Verocia based more on Igboland than some vaguely anime-inspired Japanese inspiration (don't shoot me I was 12 and heavily into Naruto). Her original last name was Jorani, not Ogbode. I'd look up what her original name was, but fanfiction dot net is down right now lmao.

Nirisa's name hasn't changed. Her name means sunset. Kiki's means dawn. Nirisa is the older one, yes, but....idk I like Kiki's name meaning "dawn".

Sunlaou Cloen is named that because I thin it sounds nice and I like "Soni" (sunny) as a nickname. Hahkin is Hahkin because I like the sound. Persha-Ro (her last name) is like that because I wanted a hyphenation.

In general though, I try to differentiate the way I name my OCs from typical star wars conventions because Star Wars names can be...boring. Women's names are often vowel-heavy and sound typically feminine in a Western romance language way. The men's names get to have heavier consonants, but then they also get to be weirder. But most often, Star Wars names can be really monosyllabic. Luke. Han. Poe. Finn. Rey. Ben. PT and some OT names have a distinct formation to them that the ST ones lack.

Over the years, I've seen names be 2-syllable first names and 1-syllable last names, or vice-versa, and they won't be very different from one another. This is why my OCs will sometimes have longer names, and the female characters especially will get names that don't sound as typically feminine (Hahkin, Nkerina, Tysolis, Iriyunan, etc.). My one exception is As'adari, but I named her that specifically because it's a girly name for a very unfeminine, aggressive, and brutish female character.

Then you have Pailenam, Paradise, Okunna, Chiadi, Danda, Yuza, etc. And despite my best efforts, the letter A is still clearly very popular in my names lmao.

I'm still thinking of Gen. Hot take but people who draw him with barely any scars on his face are cowards. He canonically is covered in scars! And having scars doesn't make him ugly. He's still just as handsome, just as pretty, and the scars don't take away from that

Like this is the only glimpse we get from Bliz, from the animated shorts. You can see the marring on his cheeks. (You can also see his pretty brown eyes but I digress)

Scarring doesn't mean anything bad. Plus, with the modern advances in medical technology, he could have easily gotten plastic surgery to remove them. But he even says they're a reminder of who he was, where he came from, and how he's moved beyond that point in his life. He's healed internally, and that's what matters.

I actually am kinda bumped that you scrapped Lili out of your own adaptation with a new character.

TBH, I'm always a huge fan of the side love story in Tabaluga considering that the detail of Fire and Ice reminds Me of Romeo and Juliet (especially if their own Fathers hate each other in the TV series).

I also have noticed that Blizzard's name kinda resembles Lili's name ("Bliz" and "Lili") though I have heard of Rumors of Arktos wanting to have a Child of his own because he felt lonely (at least, if I do remember correctly but I don't fully understand a lot of German Language in Texts).

The reason as to why I ask that about the Lili part is because since you've brought up such interesting designs for each of the characters, I was wondering on sort of design did you have for her in your own case (since this Tabaluga AU of yours from You and Friend just sounds like that I definitely would want to watch, especially with that concept reminding me a lot of Modern Reboots of Old Cartoons).

Also, in case if we're talking about the Romeo and Juliet subject that I just randomly compared, have you ever seen the Anime Movie, "The Sea Prince and The Fire Child"? It's a lot like Romeo and Juliet with the concept of being that Romeo and Juliet are set in a Mythology-like World between Romeo (Who is a Sea Prince named "Sirius") and even Juliet (Who is a Fire Princess named "Malta").

So kinda like Tabaluga and Lili except the Genders on the Other Hand between Fire and H2O are switched.

I'm not a fan of love stories and prefere friends/family dynamics. I like Lily as a character, and like her original story with Tabaluga, but am not sure how to not fall into a typical "forbidden love" kind of story.

Blizzard is actually a really cool character on her own, not just a replacement. Arktos picked her up when she was still an egg, decided to train her to be a fearsome weapon... She's kinda an opposite to Lily. The icy girl that we know is so sweet and kind that it's alluring, and Blizzard is just really a cold, brutish, cruel dragonchild that wants to impress her "father" to no avail. When Lily does good things out of love for Tabaluga, Blizzard does bad things out of love for Arktos, who she considers fatherly figure, no matter how cold and cruel he can be to her (because he's a great manipulator, and I doubt that controlling a small kid would be hard for him)

When Blizzard finds out about why Arktos actually picked her up, she's in denial, but soon starts to see what she couldn't see until this moment. That there is no love in his cold heart for anyone, and he will never see her as anything more than something that can kill and destroy.

And that's basically the start of her redemption ark and her journey to not only become friends with Tabaluga, but to prove to everyone - most importantly herself - that she is not destinied to be evil.

There's a lot of details that make this story even better in my eyes. I find it a lot more complex than a love story that I could possibly create...

(But while I was writing this and reading what you wrote... I actually came up with an idea for what I could only call a "sequel". And this would be about the Lily we know. Like, after the grand finaly, if Arktos survives... Oh, I definitely have some great ideas now thanks to you))

And about the movie... No, I haven't seen it, sadly. But I understand what's this about. The poster look great, maybe I'll watch it in my spare time)

It's false advertising plain and simple. Especially because they knew before they made us all switch to the far worse game. They took away 6v6 for 5v5, got rid of 2 point capture and all those maps, took away the "on fire" animations which 4 seasons in still isnt turned on even though the voicelines play, they took away up voting players for good work, they make us PAY for new Characters either via battle pass or the stupid store. the store is RIDICULOUSLY over priced. They gave us a 2 at the end of the name for what? I worse game. Can we sue bliz/act for false advertising for this?

So, let me see if I've got this straight.

When Overwatch 2 launched last October, it was framed by Blizzard as a PvP-only early access preview of a game which would eventually include a substantial PvE campaign, to be added in a later patch.

Today, Blizzard's representatives admitted not only that the PvE campaign mode has been scrapped, but that the internal decision to do so was made in late 2021 – meaning they'd been knowingly lying about the game's planned feature set for nearly a year at the time of the October 2022 early access launch.

Hello, this is a quick collection of all my work as a small writer. Basically links to my Ao3 stories and short summaries. Current fandoms include, Httyd, Pokemon (specifically Legends Arceus and submas), Spyro, and a (old, also bad) fnaf story. Fair warning, pretty much every story has at least one character losing their humanity to some degree. I also don't writing romance as I'm decently confidently I'm aroace to some degree and don't know how to writing it... so I don't.

The Queen's Demand Httyd oneshot. Basically Hiccup becomes a half dragon.

The Dragon Mage: Horrible Beginnings Httyd. Part one of a planned trilogy. Basic premise is a Magic AU.

Rise of the Soul Bonded Draugr Httyd. A stand alone story. It's a weird one with a rushed start. Not my best work. Basically Soulmate/spirit animal mix with necromancer Red Death.

Ghost of a Future Problem Pokemon Legends Arceus. Zoroark Oc story, profile icon for reference. Don't want to spoil too much, but it starts with a dead body.

Ghostly Rage Pokemon Legends Arceus and crossover with another creators work. Original work made by patriamrealm here on tumblr titled The Iceland Ghost. Idea was a story about putting a character in the background and gaining a Zoroark aspect.

Vengeance of the Lost Continuation of Ghostly Rage that makes splits it away from the original work by making the Oc interact with more character and taking a more active role.

Warming Frosted Souls (with Ice Cream) Final part of Ghostly Rage Story because I couldn't leave it alone. Takes place in present Unova.

Dragon... Species? Pokemon Legend Arceus and Spyro Trilogy crossover. Warning warp speed writing. It was an impulse story that didn't have a ending in mind when it was started.

Hell isn't What is Seems Fnaf Security Breach. This was first ever story. It extremely self indulgent and not very good as it is essentially everything and anything I wanted to throw into a story. In hindsight it is a bad story.

Ocs

Zork GoFP Description: true form is an extremely large Hisuian Zoroark by the end of the story, about 3x regular size. Starts off regular size and wears red jacket with a similarly colored Gear Station Depot agent hat. Also has a sword with the Twin Dragon's head carved into the crossguard. Human form is an extremely pale man with long white hair. Wear's the same clothes at his Zoroark form, though he stops wearing them outside of the hat after growing in that form. Also has sickly yellow irises when pretending to be human. Overview: Worked as security at Gear Station, specializing in taking care threats a pokemon battle couldn't. IE, drunks, sore losers, people with weapons, Team Plasma. Refused to use pokemon to keep skills sharp and it throw people off. Pretty mad at Arceus after death and protective of those harmed by the will of the gods, though is very limited in what they can do without mess with time.

Zork GR: Description: Similar to GoFP's human form but doesn't have the hat when covering his aspect. Instead has the Baneful Fox Mask on. Without the illusion, he has a snout and yellow eyes similar to his pokemon partners. His skin is unnaturally white to match the pokemon and also has flexible red claws for fingers. His hair is tipped red and he is unable to wear shoes because of have paws instead of feet. Legs are human otherwise. Overview: Worked Security (not at Gear station). Refused to have a pokemon but still took part in recreational battling against people with aspects. Did it to set a stupidly high bar for himself, sees it as dumb in hindsight. He's also mad at Arceus, but knows he can't retaliate, more mad at Kamado for trying to get him killed. Also pissed at Volo after finding out his role in getting him stuck in Hisu. Once he gets back he just wants to rebuild his life and make a better one for the pack of Zoroark that took him in.

Bliz HiWS: Description: Initially used a base shell copying Monty, lacked hair and was a slat gray with a belly stomach. After a redesign, he kept the blue stomach, but went with a darker gray. Also added gold face paint and lightning styled wrap around hands. Has "cracks" in his shell that light up. Head was reshaped to fit closer to a desert lizard with bumpier surface, shorter snout and looks more like he was a beard. Overview: Former Fazbear entertainment mechanic. He got suspicious of what was happening at night so attempted to bypass security but looking like an animatronic with an improved springlock suit. You can guess what ended up happening. Since the suit didn't have any programming to tell him hw to respond to serve as a replacement brain, his emotional responses got messed with. He sees himself as a martyr and tries to work himself to the bone, believing that his sole purpose for coming back was to end the nightmare going on around them. Weapon of choice is a self made "war ax" consisting of a tungsten sledge hammer head, steel handle, ax blade and spike. (I did the math and the head would be about forty lbs). He also has a habit of tinkering with his own body.

Turnstin TDM: (Hasn't appeared in a story yet, will in sequal to The Dragon Mage) Description: Average height for a viking, skinny, with blackish-purple hair that always sticks back. Wears a long cloak that is very old and damaged. Has rusted shackles on his wrists, that no longer have chains. He has a goatee and eyes glow an electric blue in the dark. Overview: Former dragon hunter before discovering he could use magic and getting betrayed by his crewmates. Lives near The Hidden World and has a thing for lightning. Everyone that knows of him thinks he's insane. Stories about him call him "The Disgrace of Thor."

thinking of how id want kiki's first animation debut to go. there's a few options:

First, when she rescues crusade squad from a separatist testing facility and confronts the jedi who wants to expose her secret network of escape plans for clone deserters.

Pros: hospital gown!kiki where we can see her Arms, a good introduction for each member of CS since they'd be separated and in different conditions, good tease into what kiki's hiding (with the implication that Bliz knows but is keeping it secret/hiding that he knows from kiki), a good show of the grey morality of kiki (yes she's saving the clones but she's choking out like 8 different normie scientists to do so), a Lightsaber Duel, a huge bloody nose, and a one-hit standoff in the rain

Second, the gala arc. All pros except for the fact that it's later in her time in the GAR and literally the next day she's pushing into the deicion to leave the Order entirely. so anything after that would have to be a) EXTREMELY dark and b) her in the process of leaving (this is also nearly a year before O66)

third is a good if underdeveloped idea. they're moving civilians from one area to another to keep them safe from seppies (good to show how even if she tries her best, there's still harm because she's forcing a relocation that people dont want even if its to get them out of harms way). shit hits the fan. she's injured and taking the losses personally but she's visibly trying to hold herself together despite both these things. Bliz, sensing this, is like "I can finish up here, sir" (good: shows how in tune they are). Kiki walks back to her room. shes smiling at the clones she passes. she shuts the door. the room is dim. she leans heavily against the door and slides down, breathing hard, her brown furrowed in pain. its silent (not even music). she pulls her knees up and you think you can hear her start to sob but then her comm rings, its Bliz asking if she wanted to hit the mess (good bc it shows how in tune with her he is). kiki says no, crawls/limps to a drawer that has some medical supplies (shows that she's done this before). shes trying to patch her hands when she gets a comm from Cord (CMO) telling her to come to the medbay rather than doing what she's doing (shows she's done htis before). kiki refuses. cord threatens to send a medical droid down and have her escorted, but in a sort of sarcastic way, like "i could have the med droid escort you if that would make you more comfortable, sir (it wouldnt and it knows this)" so kiki has to haul herself to the medbay

this would be the last episode/scene of a four-part arc that would take place earlier in the war. its only a few months in and we can already see that the war is breaking her.
