Sometimes I wanna draw and then I realise I can't draw

Anyway. WIP! I feel like this'll be fun if I keep going but I have a tendency to lose all motivation if I leave it so I usually do things in one shot. However, I need to go to bed.

I feel like this is a lot of research that people will never see unless they themselves are Mexican but one of the reasons I make/draw things like this is so people feel seen. I looked over a couple things for this, quite fun! This is supposed to be a chiapaneca dress, but I am not used to this more "realistic" style so the dress actually needs to spread out more. It's so pretty though! Will either be very fun or very torturous to colour

This is Paloma! I haven't started on her wings and at this point I'm not sure how to add them in. She's Mexican and was a fashion designer. I'm using that as an excuse to continue putting eyeliner on Alexis, who she is friends (?) with. She's older than him.

I have seen somewhere that Spanish Spanish and Mexican Spanish are slightly different, the two should still be able to communicate. I don't know what you call a "big sister/miss" in Spanish, or if that's even something you do. I guess Senorita would be it? I'm trying to convey that Alexis is showing respect to her though, so that feels like it's not it.

I'm debating between wing styles also. I think colourful wings (Like a parrot) would be pretty, and not as common as dove wings (Which are her namesake). Also it was while I was looking those up that I found out the Mexican flag has an eagle on it! The golden eagle wings sound pretty interesting, if a little bit drab, but having her be tied to the national bird would be fun I think. And lastly, wood pigeon wings, which are also her namesake, only in Latin.

Just makes ya feel complete and at peace with #Stuff ya know. Like man. We’ve been here for so long. We’ve been through so much and regrettably we will be through more. But we’re here #We’re together. We’re joking about like the only person under the age of 25 at service and his stumbling through blessings #(Also bc despite only saying them for a year the instinctual call and response is already set in)#I was thankfully not the only person saying the entire Kaddish at service. okay rambles but i started creatively writing in like ... 5th grade? and. oh god just a little encouragement to anyone looking to get into writing or insecure or whatnot, but HELLS, maybe it's to he expected with my (obviously) very young age and inexperience with writing then, but my writing was really. yeah. Yeah. but then i'm what... a lot older now, obviously, and my writing has gotten leagues better. i'm probably not a good example for this bcs childhood years development stuff are different etc etc BUT practicing writing more and whatnot really does go a long way :]

With so much happening and being overwhelmed caused the focus to shift.#And I truly want to put my attention onto things that helped me. Made me happy. That’s important to me overall.#This year will be aimed towards completions. Anything that’s been held off and sitting in a backlog. That I should’ve and wished to do.#Things I need to do. Whatever — I want to complete them and knock ‘em off my list. There’s so much to go through and it’s tiring -#- when you see piles that you swept under the rug. But that’s why I’m working on completing them and have a clean slate to work on again.#Won’t break chronic procrastination. But it’ll get me doing something. Little by little.#And will reduce the blow for my fatigue. In general for anything really. And this definitely isn’t some ‘new year new me’ mantra that ends #- in a couple of days. A whole year dedicated to what’s important is good enough for me. Of course you can start whenever and at any time.#But I consider this a journey. Means I have to show something for the month. looking back at this now feels so nostalgic, like, tomorrow we’ll get the final Aot additions ever before the chapter officially closes forever and we’ll only have memories to look back at, it was such a special era, one i’m glad i was a part of

This made me realize what a journey this has been.
