hello everyone. idk how to start this without sounding too dramatic, haha, but it's time to say goodbye - since the beginning of the new year i am thinking of not using tumblr anymore. i've been here for a longer time and i really enjoyed my community and all the support and the possibility to share my writings and thoughts with you all. i am grateful for all the sweet souls here, and words wouldn't be enough to point out how much i appreciate you all. i wish none of you would struggle and i hope everyone will find peace of mind as soon as possible. i hope you all will start learning how to love yourself and to treat yourself better. you deserve kindness and patience. i hope i will be remembered for my soul. i don't want to delete my whole account, since all my writings are stored here. it's one of those rare moments i can't gather my words together... everyone take care of themselves please - ruhi 🤍

‎يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ كُتِبَ عَلَيْكُمُ ٱلصِّيَامُ كَمَا كُتِبَ عَلَى ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِكُمْ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَتَّقُونَ

"O believers! Fasting is prescribed for you—as it was for those before you—so perhaps you will become mindful (of Allah)." (2:183)

Ramadan is finally upon us, Alhamdulilah 🌙

May Allah accept our fasts and grant us good health, and allow us to get closer to Him during this blessed month, ameen. Just a gentle reminder that Ramadan isn’t only about abstaining from food and drinks, but is also an opportunity for personal reformation. To set good habits & eliminate bad ones, and to focus on ibaadah, increasing our good deeds, and instilling taqwa in our lives. We have 30 days filled with blessings, let us not waste them, inshallah.

Let us also remember the less fortunate and the oppressed throughout this month. Especially the Palestinians right now. isr*eli violence against them always increases during Ramadan, and unfortunately this year will the same, if not worse. May Allah protect the Palestinians, facilitate their return, and humiliate their oppressors. Ameen 🤲🏼🇵🇸

I don't think I will ever fully understand other Christians who force such a distorted, corrupted image of God down others' throats while threatening hellfire and pain should we vomit out the poison they scatter

if your God is a God who demands unquestioning obedience and calls you to build walls that separate and isolate you from empathy/love/solidarity with others who aren't like you, while the alternative being nothing but eternal punishment, that's not a Savior, that's an abuser and a tyrant

and abusers and tyrants are far from being worthy of worship.
