first and foremost, since i've been getting a lot of sdv tiktoks, i have to say that i will never ever in a hundred thousand years understand the elliott hate!!!! like cmon guys this dude dedicated his BOOK TO YOU!!! is that not peak romance?? i think i would literally faint idk like. i saw a tiktok where someone said he would cheat on the farmer and i just. from a writer's standpoint that is just not accurate!!! this man is a simp for the farmer through and through.

i personally think elliott's one of the most mature bachelors, like him and harvey in my head are the most emotionally mature. i think i brought this up in a previous ask but elliott just gives vibes of "i moved here to start over and escape the messy shit that happened in my past." you're telling me he only moved to the valley for writing inspo?? ain't no way, this guy went through some shit romantically and now he can't stand being in the city for long periods of time bc it reminds him of them.

and his marriage dialogue?? he's a WRITER, everyone, he's romantic asf!!! literally rants about your beauty. cmon. he's the blueprint. elliott saw the standards and decided to exceed them.

i'm definitely more defensive of him bc i've been married to him for like four in-game years and the only part of being with him that i got pissed about was him changing our damn flooring to sand. that was kinda fucked ngl but flooring can be changed!!!!

Okay so, I don't really understand the Sansa slander, especially in the first few seasons. Beauces my girl is a child, can you blame a child for being scared of the queen and the king. Trying to bring your focus back onto the conversation, a knock on the half-cracked door made you jump as you peered over to see who it was.

The Shadow Company, after being with them for 4 years, at that point had become your second family. Working your way up through the ranks you slowly became Graves' second in command. “Yeah, love you too, talk soon”, clicking the phone off, and standing up off the dresser you walked over to greet the commander now in your room. You hated that you were looking forward to talking to Graves more than your boyfriend. 

“Was that the old ball and chain?”Graves knew how to piss you off. “Seems you're jealous you don’t have someone to have phone sex with, Commander” winking back at him, you were in a mood tonight. The disapproving look you gave Phillip hinted he probably shouldn't push, some internal battle he shouldn't prod at. 

“What made you come in here in the first place, Graves? Just to see how my boyfriend is, I know how fond of him you are”, Graves scoffed, “I don't even remember anymore,” his hands went up in defeat, “I’ll see you tomorrow yeah”, a soft smile crept along his face and he started to turn out of your room. 

“Wait, Phillip!” trying to grab his attention before he disappeared down the barrack hallways, “Do you have a spare shirt, the rookies messed up laundry so I haven't been able to do anything yet and I need something to sleep in ''. This shouldn't have been an awkward question, you both were comfortable enough with sharing clothes and it wasn't new for either of you to help out the other. This time felt wrong though, you felt shy and almost dirty asking your commander for a shirt to sleep in, was it too intimate?

“Follow me, you can pick out your favorite”, he held your door open signaling you to lead the way to his room. The air felt different, something was different between the two of you, you just couldn't put your finger on it. By the time you reached his room, a pit formed in your stomach, playing it off as you leaned next to the door waiting for Phillip to unlock it. 

“Top drawer on the right, pick a comfy one”, Graves relished in the idea of you wearing his shirt. He felt like he had won this unspoken battle between him and your boyfriend, he didn't bother to ever learn his name, it wasn't important. 

Rifling through the drawers you found a worn gray cotton polo undershirt, holding it up in the mirror, it looked perfectly oversized. “I think I found a winner,” you turned to face him still holding it up, “What do you think?”

“I think you took my favorite one”, Graves' hands went to his heart like he was in pain, a fake frown painted his face, making you laugh. “Go ahead and try it on sweetheart, make sure it fits the way you like before you head back,”

“No peeking Graves” you walked towards the bed with your back to Phillip, stripping off your previous top, and slipping the new gray one on. Turning to face Graves, who was now leaning on top of his desk in the corner of the room. 

“C’mere, let me see how it looks' ', you could feel his eyes on you as you walked towards him, immediately feeling shy, you shouldn't be feeling like this.

Her contract, sadly, would be ended due to Superbloom Media's lack of funds and Shin Yeonghui wanting to see her under a better company for her immense talents.

In 2017, she would be replaced by Kang Junyeong as the drummer of Plastic Flowers and Jisoo would go completely silent until 2019. In the years between her contract ending, she would join KQ Entertainment and act as a choreography and dance instructor, working closely with the members of ATEEZ from pre-debut until now. ( PART X: I WAS WITH THEM AND YET I WAS ALONE. ... KANG SOONYOUNG ) ⬭ Kang Soonyoung never speaks about his time with Plastic Flowers and is often the most forgotten former member of the band. He would be a Superbloom Media trainee for just two weeks before being added into the lineup as one of the few trainees that already knew how to play the piano. Unlike the rest of the members, Soonyoung was never credited as a vocalist because he never had the real vocal training needed, he was scouted for his good looks over his talent. In a deleted Instagram post, Soonyoung would thank Plastic Flowers for being so accommodating to his lack of talents, but would blame Superbloom for not letting them stay together in the long run. He is easily the most vocal of their former artists about their bad business practices and uses of manipulative tactics to get trainees and band mates to hate each other.

In 2019, Soonyoung would make his comeback to the music scene as a trainee on the survival show Produce X 101 as a Starship Entertainment trainee. Alongside all of his label mates, he would make it to the shows finale, but failed to secure a spot in the final lineup and ranking #11 overall. It was later revealed that due to the eleventh member of X1 being chosen by the total number of votes, he would lose out on his spot to Lee Eunsang. He would return to Starship and later debut as a vocalist and visual of their newest boy group Cravity in 2020.

( PART XI: WAS I RAISED WITHOUT LOVE OR WAS I BORN UNLOVABLE? ... LIN MINGHUI ) ⬭　Compared to the rest of the members, Lin Minghui never discusses anything from his childhood. The only stories that we truly have about him is from their trainee era and since their debut. From what we know, he was born in Hualien City to a single, teenage mother and was raised primarily by his maternal grandparents while his mother completed her schooling and attempted to live a normal life. By all means, Lin Shufen always tried her best with raising Minghui but, according to court documents found by sasaengs, she was forced to give full custody rights to her parents and could not be alone with her son due to her not paying rent on time, toxic relationships, and neglecting Minghui at her parent's house for days. The court case was started by his grandparents and they raised Minghui as their son since 2010.

Minghui cites both FT Island and SHINee as his inspirations and reasons for getting into K-pop. He learned piano at a young age at his grandparents recommendation. In 2015, Superbloom Media made a trip to scout idols from Taiwan and as a fan of their original artist, Kim Yuchan, he decided to take a chance. He thought that it would be fate if they accepted him and it was a sign to become an idol due to his lack in dance and most vocal abilities. With a bright personality and dedication to the idol industry, he was originally scouted to be an entertainer or actor. He moved to Seoul with his grandparents, who had been retired at that point, and lived with them rather the training dorm.

He continued training to be an actor but when Superbloom began scrambling for new members of Plastic Flowers, he was considered due to his knowledge of the piano which very few trainees had. They expedited his vocal training and kept him primarily in the background of Plastic Flowers to not cause anymore drama about who was chosen as Junyeong fought anti's almost everyday. He was supposed to compete on Superband with Gwyn in 2019, however, he was not chosen in the final round and was sent home to Superbloom to await Gwyn's return. Minghui is easily one of the most known members of the band due to his work on variety shows and helped them gain more fans as well.

In 2021, his departure from Plastic Flowers would be announced by Superbloom Media and due to musical conflicts with both the company and members of the band. However, in a statement in 2023, Minghui would say he left because of the members and their constant fighting.

I'm going on another rant, but this time I have a backstroy to it:

I was watching SoC content on tiktok (as one does) and I came across a video and in the comment section of that video somebody said that El Tango De Roxanne is Kanej coded (like Kaz's pov of Inej's time in the Menagerie) and I was intrigued so I went and listened to it and oh my god.

If you want you can go ahead and listen to the song on Spotify so you can draw your own conclusion, but this is my conclusion ( I have basically postponed this post cuz I was shocked at how well this song fits with Kanej)

In this post I wanna focus on two lines from the whole song:

"You're free to leave

Just don't deceive me"

because they are the most Kanej thing I have ever heard

Basically, if we are looking at this song as Kaz's thoughts/pov of Inej's time in the Menagerie (wich it totally is) we are hearing Kaz's thoughts on Inej's time as a slave and basically showing that Kaz is aware how bad that year was for Inej and how bad Inej wants her freedom.

The "You're free to leave me" part shows that Kaz is willing to keep true to his words: "I'm not going to be another person who will mark her (Inej)" (I don't actually know if this is the quote, cuz I couldn't find it). This part is just Kaz saying that he is going to give her the independence she deserves and the means to reach that idependence telling her that she is free from Ketterdam's shady businesses. Free from him. He's trying to tell her that he won't blame her of she chooses to never come back

The next line "Just don't deceive me", is a cousin of sorts to the saying that keeps getting thrown around in the books and that (in my opinion) is very important in Kaz's and Inej's relationship: "Better harsh truths than kind lies". This line kinda reads to me as Kaz begging Inej to just tell him the truth. If she really is going to come back in Ketterdam and that she isn't just saying that and then she never does actually go back. Kaz doesn't want to keep waiting for her, hopefull that she will come back to him and then she never sets foot on Ketterdam's docks again. After all, hope is dangerous. He doesn't want to get his hopes up, he'd rather be told straight up that she hates him and hates that city rather then being told whatever kind lies Inej may come up with. Kaz loves Inej, that's a no brainer, but he will let her go if she says that she doesn't want anything to do with him.

If you ever heard the saying "If you love someone, let them go" then these lines are basically the same thing. Kaz lets Inej go, get her freedom back, not really expecting to ever see her again because he loves her. Yes, his feelings are hurt as hell (even tho he will never admit it), but Inej is happy and when you love someone you put their happiness in front of your own. Letting them go when you know they need to be let go, hopping and praying that they love you enough to come back.

While Kaz might say he's a demon, and while that's true in some cases, as we've seen in the books, his humanity isn't completely extinguished. Especially when it comes to Inej.

Wolfstar, Tiktok AU, Part 3 ❤️

Look- look, just listen okay. It was an accident. A total accident. He didn’t mean to start running a Sirius Black fan account… Remus just sorta fucked up…

You see, he got instagram and tiktok and all that shit for Sirius. Wait no that sounds worse. For Sirius and James. One of them (read: Sirius) had brought up that they had some homophobic assholes in their comments section, and then Pete happened to mention that he’d been reporting and removing all the ones he saw… so naturally, like the good friend he is, Remus asked Pete to help him set up some accounts on different platforms so he could go through comments and remove the horrible ones. 

See! See, it all started with the best of intentions.

But then, as most things do with social media, it spiralled.

One video of Sirius’ “heart eyes” at Remus (he got fucking hopeful okay, can you blame him?) and he just naturally liked the video.

Then another.

Then another. 

And quickly his likes was simply a list of fan edits of Sirius, videos Sirius made himself doing a “thirst trap”, and fan edits of… well… “Wolfstar”. 

That’s how it started anyway. Until, one day, when they’d been tiktok semi- famous around 4 months, he happened to start fiddling with the editing tool in tiktok. Remus’ only connection with technology was editing apps for his school work after all. And one thing led to another… and two hours later he’d made many edits of Sirius (some of which included him). 

Anyway, now he has 2000 followers and counting. And he’s making weekly edits of Sirius fucking Black. His best friend. Are you seeing the lunacy? Cause Remus certainly is.

Oh and in case you’re wondering… NO. He hasn’t told Lily. He hasn’t even told Pete. Even though he’s a great secret keeper. Pete knows he has social media, but not the chaos he’s accidentally caused with it. 

Why did Peter let him do this? 

So now, 7 months in and “Padfoot and Prongs” both at about 200k followers, when James approaches Remus with a fun tiktok idea for the two of them, Remus immediately knows it’s a trap.

Being on tiktok means running into tiktok trends sometimes. One of which he stumbled across was the “call your partner by their first name” prank. It’s for couples who often use petnames, so the joke is… to make your partner worry that you’re upset with them? 

Remus is joking, mostly. Assuming you’ve got a functional and understanding relationship, the videos are often easy jokes (and mostly staged). 

But not only was this not going to be staged (presumably cause they prank each other all the time so it’s alright? Even though Sirius has insecurities about upsetting the people he loves without realises it) but it’s clearly a trick against Remus too.

Remus isn’t supposed to know it’s a couple prank, so he was supposed to just do it, ask no questions, and then boom. James can feed right into the “Wolfstar” jokes. (Technically, Remus’ mini fan account is also playing into the “Wolfstar” jokes… but that’s neither here nor there).

So that’s what he is supposed to do. And pondering it now, he knows that’s what he has to do. Or else James will realise he knows it’s a couple prank, realise he has social media and eventually kindly bully Remus into revealing all his secrets. 

Fucking observant dickhead. 

So here Remus is, about to walk into Sirius’ flat, with James already recording (ie, he put his tripod behind their massive house plant and now he’s standing in the corner of the kitchen, pretending he’s not spying). 

He opens the door with his key as he usually does and calls out to Sirius in his best, i’m totally not about to hurt your feelings, voice.

He’s told Prongs earlier that he doubted Sirius would even notice. But he’s not sure, since Remus would definitely notice if Sirius stopped using his nickname. However he’s worried if Sirius does notice, that it’s going to really upset him. 

“I’m here and ready to go Sirius.” Even when he’s mad he never uses his name. He hadn’t even really realised until now? It’s odd. Hopefully (for James) Sirius will notice before they have to leave for their film. But usually he takes at least five minutes before actually being ready to leave anyway. They used to be so late, until Remus started meeting Sirius at earlier times so they wouldn’t be.

“Oh one minute.” 

Sirius and James are annoyingly rich.

Remus needs to mention that before the next thing he says. 

Sirius runs down the stairs. 

Yep. The stairs in their flat… getting the annoyingly rich part now?

From the door of their flat there’s a big living room, with a kitchen in the back, a bathroom to the left of it and Sirius’ bedroom to the right. Up the stairs (yes… stairs!) in the corner is James’ room and their second bathroom. 

Remus’ can’t wrap his own head around it honestly. But the point he’s trying to make is that Sirius was in the upstairs bathroom (it’s pretty big, so usually both him and James use it and they leave the small one for guests) and now he’s coming down the stairs. 

Except he’s not cause he’s still doing his hair… presumably.

“Hurry up Pa- Sirius!” Well, it only took two sentences for him to forget and try to use his nickname. 

“Coming.” 

Sirius always loves coming down the stairs dramatically, and Remus always makes fun of him (in a sweet way), but honestly… Sirius is gonna fucking kill him one day. 

He’s in bloody ripped jeans and a crop top. And of course his leather jacket.

Oh and a fucking choker? No wait- a collar?

Oh god Remus is so fucked. 

“I’m ready.” And yet of fucking course he looks ten times hotter smiling. It’s bloody unfair that whenever Sirius’ smile, it makes Remus smile too.

He’s tested it. It never fails. It’s very irritating. You know, in that way everything magical about the love of your life is always irritating. Sirius Black has too much control over him (but that’s okay, Remus kind of likes it this way- not that he’d ever admit that). 

“You’re not wearing shoes Sirius, you’re not quite ready.” Remus is so busy being impressed by the fact that he’s so dramatically dressed just to watch a film, in the pitch black, he almost misses as Sirius turns around, freezes for a moment, and stares at Remus.

It’s so quick, and then he’s back to normal, grabbing his boots and sitting on a nearby chair to shove them on.

“Yeah… Hey, how were your classes yesterday, Moony?” 

Oh- he’s noticed. He also seems to be really struggling to get his shoe on. Thought he’s not exactly looking at it, eyes focused solely on Remus, and to be fair, that boot had a lot of buckles and zips.

“It was fine Sirius. Glad it’s the weekend.” Remus looks down to the floor. He’s a good liar but… not to Sirius.

“Moony?” Sirius has abandoned his boots by the chair and is up by Remus in a second. “What’s… wrong?” 

Remus can literally see Sirius’ brain spinning, trying to stop himself from jumping to conclusions and getting upset and this… is fucking stupid. Why the hell did he ever agree? 

Remus locks eyes with James, who’s stood in the kitchen pretending to totally ignore the situation, and shoots him a look. He gets a look back. “One more time”. Fucking idiot doesn’t see it the same way Remus does. 

“Nothing wrong Sirius I promise, I just don’t want to be late and-“ Remus doesn’t finish because Sirius’ face turns ice cold and he turns 180 away from Remus and back to his chair completely silently. 

He stands above the chair for a moment before turning back round to face Remus. 

“What the hell Moony? Did I upset you or something? Why are you being passive aggressive? How’d you like it if I call you Remus all day?” Any version of Remus’ name or nicknames sound amazing coming from Sirius. But that’s probably not the right answer. Fucking James (this is equally your fault Remus, you agreed).

“Pads I-“ 

“Oh so it’s Pads now?”

“No I was just-“

“So it’s not Pads then? Are we not doing nicknames anymore Remus?”

Sirius is close to Remus now, very close. 

“No, I mean yes, I mean I was just-“

“I don’t really care. You just, what? Thought it’d be funny? You want me to stop calling you Moons, or Moony? I’ll never say it again if you ask me too. How about sweetheart, and love and all the cute sappy ones you use? Are we scrapping those too? Cause the way I see it, we were going to a nice movie. And I got fucking dressed Remus. It’s winter and i knew i’d be cold but i’m wearing this anyway. And you’re mad at me and I don’t know what I did so maybe I should just leave and you can hate me as you should cause I probably did something awful and now i’m yelling at you even though-“ Remus places his hand over Sirius’ mouth. He can’t bare to hear anymore. Remus has fucked up.

They’re close enough now that Remus wraps his hands around Sirius waist to keep him close and gently tries to explain.

“I’m so sorry Pads. It was a stupid prank. I wasn’t even sure you’d notice. I am not mad at you I promise. Hell, I had a really difficult week at school and the only reason I wasn’t crying this morning was because I knew i’d get to see you, and spend time with you. And I fucked up. I’m so, so sorry.”

Remus knows some people won’t get it. Hell, he’s reported and deleted plenty of comments that say Sirius “overreacts”. 

But Remus knows Sirius’ parents used to do a complete 180. Happy one moment and writhing with anger the next. He knows that they never hugged him, it’s why Remus always tries to be touching Sirius, it grounds him (it also helps that Remus is totally in love with him of course). 

He knows Sirius “overreacts” because it’s safer than having someone randomly hurt you. And that’s fair. And Remus is kicking himself for ever agreeing to a prank that could trigger that feeling again for Sirius. 

Because at the end of the day, Sirius is terrified that one day Remus will announce he’s had enough of him and leave. And he’s worried he’s angering Remus all the time, even though he could never. And Remus just fed into that worry.

It is absolutely insane to Remus that Sirius thinks he’d ever leave him. Sirius is literally the brightest person he’s ever met. There is not a single place Sirius could go that Remus would not follow. There is no way that Remus will ever be anything but head over heels in love and completely smitten with Sirius Black for the rest of his fucking life. 

“Promise you’re not mad at me Moons?”

It’s whispered so quiet he barely hears.

“I promise Pads.”

Sirius eyes turn a little colder then.

“Then what the fuck? Shitty prank Moony.” Sirius jokingly shoves Remus off but he’s already stepped back to give him space to be pissed off.

“You’re an idiot.” He announces, marching back over to his chair to shove his boots on. 

“Yeah, you’re gonna think i’m more of an idiot in a sec.” He still has to tell Sirius this is being recorded. They obviously won’t post it without Sirius’ permission, but he does like to be honest on the internet (he mentioned he’s been considering creating a video about his past- his old “family”), so Remus isn’t sure what’ll happen.

“I doubt that’s possible.” Sirius is sat with his arms crossed in the chair.

“Are you- going to do your boots? Cause we really are going to miss the film at this rate.” Even with Remus’ planning ahead.

“You are sorry for being an arsehole right?” Sirius smirks. Remus feels himself shiver all over. 

“Yeah of course Pads.” The words come from the back of his throat and he’s barely even aware he said them. He’s trapped in Sirius’ eyes.

“Then prove it.”

“I-“ What? “What?”

“Prove it.” Huh? “Put my boots on. Me. I can’t be bothered.” 

Remus still hasn’t looked away from Sirius’ eyes yet. But- 

Wait hang on. What? Put his… boots on? 

Oh fuck. 

Remus drags his eyes away from Sirius’ and down to his shoes. 

Fucking Sirius with his heart-wrenchingly beautiful eyes and stupidly attractive body and that fucking collar and oh god how has he lived this long in the presence of a literal god. 

Remus doesn’t even question it any further.

(He definitely hears James choke a little in the background). 

And now he’s on his knees in front of Sirius. This is… something. All of a sudden he finds his mouth is completely dry. 

Well at least he has a distraction.

Remus grabs Sirius’ first boot. He’s watched Sirius enough to know exactly how to do it. 

He’s gentle as he takes Sirius’ foot and puts it into his shoe. It’s slightly weird being on his knees in front of Sirius… but then again he’s combating the desire to fall to his knees for Sirius literally everyday. So all in all, not too bad.

Remus does the second boot, hopefully correctly (it has a lot of buckles okay?) and looks up at Sirius, making eye contact for the first time since he shamelessly got on his knees, and Sirius looks, well like he’s enjoying this a lot. 

But just as Remus goes to get up, he feels Sirius stroking his hair, ever so gently, but it still stops Remus from moving.

“I figured it out.” He still hasn’t looked away from Sirius’ eyes. He’s whispering now.

“It’s a tiktok… isn’t it?” Remus slightly nods, barely remembering he’s on video. There’ll be edits his fellow editors make of this for sure. He can’t stop the flush he feels rise up his neck until his cheeks are burning.

“I noticed after you apologised. It was a bizarre prank for you, not your usual style. But it was the style of a tiktok prank. Plus James is over there, trying not to obsessively watch us. He totally planned this.”

“A genius as always Pads.” His voice comes out all scratchy and weird since his mouth is so dry.

“Mmmn. Of course I am. So I want one last apology for caving to social media pressure and being mean to me, right here while you’re on your knees for me.” 

Sirius Black is the devil. 

“I’m sorry Sirius.”

He raises his eyebrow.

“Alright, I was tryna be sincere. I’m sorry Padfoot. I won’t cave to social media in your expense again.”

He smirks and the hand in his hair pauses and tightens. It causes Remus to tense up (feeling a little bit too real now).

“Hey, are you okay, I can-“ Sirius goes to remove his hands and Remus acts on instinct.

“No- No, no no, it’s, erm, it’s fine. Really. I don’t- erm- mind. Totally. Whatever.”

Sirius sits back on his chair with a smirk and yet even though Remus embarrassed himself to try and keep Sirius’ hand stroking his hair, he removes it anyway.

What is happening?

“Okay love, well this has been fun but we’re going to miss our movie and you’re totally slowing us down, so-“ Sirius grabs Remus’ arm and practically pulls him to his feet, leaving Remus stumbling just behind Sirius. “Let’s go.”

He looks fucking pleased with himself.

As he should. 

Remus sort of… maybe… possible… vaguely… makes multiple tiktok edits of Sirius in that fucking chair. 

He also got into a feud in the comments over Sirius’ “overreaction” that ended with Remus spamming the owner of the accounts messages with the only meme he knows. It’s some cat one. 

It works though. That account did not come back.

Also, to clarify for anyone who’s read Part One and Two, I’ve decided on some dates.

They caught the pigeon and went sorta viral in May. Then they grow their tiktok and Remus vaguely appears a little until their stream in September, about 5 months in, where Remus quotes RWRB and reveals he’s in love with Sirius to everyone with eyes (Thats Wolfstar AU Part One) and then two months later is Sirius’ bday in November with the adorable gifts and jumper stealing (that’s Part Two).

And now it’s the very start of December. And turns out this whole time Remus has had a small fan account!!! (How many followers does his account need before he appears on Sirius’ radar? Cause let’s be honest, Sirius and James totally watch all those fan edits) 

Also if 200k is unrealistic either way (too high or too low) for Prongsfoot’s tiktok, and 2000 is too low (or high) for Remus’ little edits, tell me please. I don’t actually have tiktok so i’m sort of improvising here.

I think that the mauraders Fandom is annoying as hell sometimes. They act like the have a superiority over other hp fans cause they proudly state they throw cannon in the garbage. They flood every comment section that's not about them so they can talk about Mauraders which is weird considering that they have so much content they don't need more.

With remus it's crazy cause they treat fanon like its cannon and will talk about how he smokes cigarettes and wears doc martens as if he robbed sirius closet. They also refuse to admit remus does any wrong and treat it like a cardinal sin if you mention one of his cannon flaws.

we are annoying 😭 sometimes i get really bad secondhand embarrassment looking at comment sections of like a tiktok about fandom the marauders stans fill the damn thing up to the brim. the comments under a post being like, slightly critical of a characterisation are sometimes okay (provided it reaches the right audience) but if remus/sirius gets disliked? or james/regulus? the homophobia accusations are EVERYWHERE. then the tumblr complaints about “we don’t talk enough about this ship” or “we don’t talk enough about that character”, like they’ve never had the experience of enjoying a rarepair. i don’t frequent marauders twitter (if it all), but i know through the grapevine that it’s one of the worst.

the remus re-characterisation is so intriguing. a specific, really impressive fic that i have not read is partially “to blame” for this, though the author acknowledged that remus’ background was not canon compliant and the changes affected his character, but now it’s treated as canon and he’s snowballed into this cool, suave, snarky and disinterested ‘bad boy’-type who’s so tall he has to bend to fit through doorways and has lots of muscle under his temu t-shirt. i tend to make remus a smoker (mainly because smoking was common for many people in the 70s, 80s and 90s) but by god, that man is NOT cool.

he has many flaws in this characterisation (because he’s, simply put, a humongous and vile asshole to literally everybody, specifically his supposed soulmate sirius) but they’re not treated as flaws—just parts of his cool personality. they make him poc, partially for rep, but then they make him aggressive and harsh. i don’t see why he can’t be poc as well as a shy, fearful, tea-drinking and sweater-wearing dork whose flaws are mainly running away from “problems” and making up issues in his head that he’s terrified of coming true.

bringing up canon in anyway gets rebutted with a “we don’t care about canon because it’s sucks”. which is fine, really, but why are you in the fandom then? these characters (at least by name, and their parents, and their family background and their role in society and maybe their hogwarts house, house house, future deaths, which side of the war they were on, hints of their personality) were canonical. like, i can’t stress this enough—they’re part of canon. at least mentioned in them, sometimes only by last name but sometimes also by their entire name. hogwarts, the magic spells, diagon alley and knockturn alley and gringotts, the invisibility cloak, the families… voldemort and his death eaters, dumbledore and his order, the aurors, that’s ALL the potterverse. they think canon sucks but they still use it. please just… go to a different fandom, maybe? another one with a magic school and society?

first of all, I understand why people resort to censored tags and I fully blame the people who put these rules in place, tumblr and youtube and especially tiktok who normalised it to the point that I never hear people saying ‘died’ or ‘murdered’ or ‘killed themselves’ but I instead hear ‘unalived’ which makes it sound so stupid and unserious. so I understand why people go to these lengths to censor words in order to not have their content be flagged. but it just makes it sound so stupid and unserious and just so. otherwordly. I can’t believe we have to do this, I can’t believe we have to censor WORDS of all things. I can’t believe I watch a youtube video regarding a crime and I hear a sentence like ‘the…… (the person talking about the crime stops talking and instead mouths the word ‘killer’ and the word is written on screen because they aren’t allowed to say it out loud in fear of being flagged and having youtube demonitise them)….. and then they unalived them and sa-ed them afterwards’ and it’s just seen as normal. it’s almost dystopian in a way to me. I’ve also heard that apparently students have been caught writing ‘unalived’ in their papers instead of words like died, murdered, etc… which makes me believe the world is coming to an end very very soon

and also. unfortunately code speak is very very popular in pedo communities on kinkblr. pedos LOVE using tags like ‘1cky d4ddy 1cky d4ught3r r4p3 fantasy’ etc… they use tags such as ‘t333n p3d0 bait p3rv bait’ and whatever else. and knowing that, seeing it become so normalised on tumblr to have to censor kinky content to appeal to community guidelines unfortunately invites pedos because they always lurk in these cryptic censored tags to bypass the system and not be caught as easily. also why they use symbols like 🍕 and 🧀 and 🍈 and it just reminds me of that. it makes me feel gross whenever I see posts with heavy censorship with numbers in because I know those are tags commonly infiltrated by pedos. hence my tag on my previous post being ‘you look like a pedophile’ for using these tags. it just leaves a bad taste in my mouth in general

Here is a list of subreddits I don't like because this week is my six year anniversary on reddit. I should say I don't mind the subreddit itself, but I don't like it's members. Also I would like to say I'm not adding subreddits to this list out of spite due to being banned or because I lost an argument to someone on there.

opmfolk: most people on this subreddit dislike the changes made in the manga, which is fine. I agree with a lot of things they say. I dislike the sub because of the awful attitude they have; they act like Murata killed their kids because of the changes to the plot that began to appear in the MA arc. I don't know if ONE is also behind the changes, but if he is, no one on that sub thinks he should be blamed for it.

It's ironic the people on that sub hate the long breaks in between the releases of the manga chapters because it delays the plot, but seldom complain about the lack of updates in the webcomic, how many years has it been since the current webcomic arc began? They say Murata has gotten lazy and checked out of the series, but by their own logic, they should be saying that about ONE (I don't think either of them have).

I think too many of the members of the sub are bias and throw around childish insults, so that's why they're on the list. The concept of the subreddit is fine. I bet a lot of them will change their minds when the chapters they talk about hating get animated.

ao3: I like to start off by saying I read and write fanfiction. I think people on this subreddit are hypocrites, they love to preach 'don't like, don't read' but cannot keep the same energy themselves. Many posts in this sub consist of users screenshotting sections of fanfictions or fanfic blurbs or whatever just to complain about how they hate how it was written or when authors do this particular thing in their writing and so on. Going out of your way to take a screenshot of someone else's work to go complain about it in an echo chamber doesn't sound like 'don't like, don't read' to me. The users would go batshit insane if someone did that to them.

The sub also have a prevalent us vs them mentality, mostly towards tiktok fanfiction readers. They say they're more cliquey and rude, but I don't think the subreddit is any better in that regard, they love to dogpile just as much as tiktok ff readers. The A03 subreddit love to say 'I'm too old for drama!' yet there are always posts about them being caught up in drama in their respective fandoms.

They are also easily offended or seem to assume the worst out of comments. It’s so bad, some users post the comments they want to send to the author so the people of the subreddit can approve if it’s suitable or not, and they are often told to bulk up the praise. And if the writers of the sub themselves do receive a hate comment or a comment that isn’t overly positive, they feel the need to make a post to discuss it too. You can just block and move on if you're that upset. If you're not grovelling, their whole world falls apart. A lot of writers don't want interaction, but endless praise. I feel like many of them forget that readers do not owe them kudos, comments/ save. Writers can choose whether or not they want to publish their works, but readers can also choose whether or not they want to comment or kudos their fanfic.

They also humble brag by asking questions like ‘my fic has been up an hour and has 200 kudos, is that good??’ Like come onnn.

BridgertonNetflix: This applies to the smaller subreddits are created for the main couples. The Para social relationships on these subs are outrageous. So many of these people don't realise acting is a job, the way people reacted to Simon's actor leaving the show was wild, the actor still gets flack for it years later. I don't see what the issue is - his season was over, and he wouldn't have had a prominent enough role in future seasons to stick around. Loads of fans were upset because they blamed him for the lack of Daphne's appearances in S2 and her no show in S3, but you should get more mad at the writers if anything for not being able to write scenes where Daphne makes appearances without Simon, it shouldn't be that hard to do since the Bridgerton's are her family, not his. The hatred towards Simons actor is so unnecessary, and the snarky comments fans make about Anthony's actor being able to still appear despite his various projects are stupid as well. Anthony is head of the family, and the show is about his siblings, its expected that he's in every season. The same does not apply to Simon, it's not hard to understand.

Other weird para social relationships include the protagonists of Queen Charlotte - like stop shipping real people who are in their own relationships together. Beyond disrespectful and the fans made it seem like it was appropriate?

However, what I hate most about this subreddit are the Kate and Kantony stans, which sadly, most people in the subreddit are. You can make a post about how, despite all the excuses the show throws at you, Kanthony were still in the wrong for having an affair under Edwina's nose, or god forbid, point out that Kate is not perfect, and people in the comments will call you racist, sexist, trying to create discourse, having a vendetta against the actress...and multiple posts pop up to defend Kate. I wish I was joking but I've seen this happen multiple times, it happened today actually. A line her stans love to use is 'here we go again' when someone makes a post about disliking Kate, but if someone said that about the endless Kate appreciation posts they would accuse of creating a hate brigade. There's a reason why only so many posts about Kanthony get locked...their fans are crazy.

Any UK subreddits: So xenophobic and racist. This could political UK subreddits or casual ones - all are influenced by politics in some way which is annoying. I dread reading the comments on these subreddits but I still end up doing it. These subreddits usually have articles attached to the posts, but everyone in comments they're dumbass opinions based on the rage bait title instead of reading the articles contents. The jokes are so unfunny too.

Unpopular opinions: I've said this before but they just hate women, so many posts are like 'women are superficial' 'women online are awful' but one post making the same generalisation towards men and suddenly its 'not all men are like this' and ''sexist'.

Most unpopular opinions are not unpopular either, or are just factually incorrect. People use the upvoting system wrong here too, you're meant to upvote unpopular opinions, but basic and tame popular opinions tend to mostly be the most upvoted.

Sixth form and uni subreddits: I find the people on these subs annoying because many of these people worship STEM and look down on humanities subjects. Many people on these subreddits also believe any uni which isn't Oxbridge or a Russel group uni is awful. And I'm saying that as someone who does stem at a Russel group. For the uni subreddit especially, everyday there's a post where someone is upset they failed a year of university or got caught cheating and want a way to get out of trouble, but upon reading the post, you realise its 100% their own fault they failed. Like come on bro. I don't like other uni students at my university so I think I project my hatred and insecurities onto the subreddit.

I saw THE7 bouncing around my Kpop YouTube but I'm exhausted by 4th Gen these days so I didn't bother to watch (not that I would have recognized him).

Given what happened with Boys Planet I don't think there is that much of a stigma anymore (in Korean production houses) on having done BL. I mean Mnet was GUNNING for Kim Ji Woong and he'd done 2 BLs and sort of even cobranded.

He pretty, but he not that pretty (if cultural taboo was still set firmly against him).

Like all things in Hallyu I think we can blame the wave of 2nd & 3rd gens doing BL and paving the way to production house acceptance tolerance.

I'm happy for Opp, he has the right look and I hope he has the talent to carry the group. 4th Gen Kpop needs all the outside blood it can get, Korea seems to have throughly tapped their own base if recent survival shows are anything to go by.
