The whole blainofsky relationship is not one commonly dealt with by the fandom! I would suggest try our season 6 reaction fics or on AO3 try the blaine anderson/david karofsky list, for times when Kurt talked to Blaine. I found this one, but it is kurtbastian endgame. ~Jen

Going a bit insane right now about how much it would have broken Kurt if Blaine had been dating Sebastian instead of Dave in season 6.

Like in both the season 4 breakup and when he finds out Blaine is dating someone in season 6, Kurt's immediate reaction is to think it's Sebastian. It's been YEARS, the boy helped Blaine propose to Kurt, and Kurt is still so scared that it's Sebastian.

Anyway if that happened I don't know how Kurt would come back from that. Like we see him break down about Blaine and Dave in the bathroom but I think that's more about Blaine moving on than it's about Blaine moving on with Dave. But if he were with Sebastian? I just think it would wreck him. It would be so much worse.

I wonder if Blaine still would have told him the same way. Would he have had Sebastian meet them there, without warning? At Scandals, the place that Sebastian introduced them to? The last time they were there together Sebastian was trying to steal his boyfriend and now he HAS and I just–

I don't know how he would have handled that. But I am so obsessed with the idea I cannot get it out of my head.

ok so. permission to take you on this journey i just went through with me? it's like a drive around a parking lot in terms of journeys so that's what you're in for, just to be upfront.

so I was watching Hocus Pocus with the kids, since we didn't finish it before halloween. In fact we barely watched any of it but I asked "what do you want to watch" and the kid was set on it. Hocus Pocus.

That's not important to the journey, however neither is anything else. It's a pointless journey.

So we're watching Hocus Pocus, well the kid is, I'm not really but oh well. I watched it enough to know what was happening, the main kid gets bullied and these bully kids steal his shoes (and then he gets mad at his sister for humiliating him in front of the bullies? idk I missed something in between there.)

Anyway. Not the point. Taking a lot of detours in this parking lot.

So this bully kid I'm watching and I'm like, does he look familiar? And he's like yknow every bully kid in a kids show ever but BUT

The performance is like. So similar to watching Karofsky in Glee. More than just yknow, any given bully character. Like. So similar.

I'm like, you know obviously it's not the same guy, glee came out like what, sixteen years after Hocus Pocus? Whatever, I can google it later. But like, they could have taken inspiration from this performance for their Karofsky character 16 years later, sure.

But why? Isn't it like idk kinda random?

Interesting @spaceorphan18 that your headcanon is it started with a hookup, and not with friendship/dating (spoken or unspoken). So opposite of my headcanon that I had literally never entertained the thought. (I mean they are both definitely capable of starting with a hookup, I just hadn't seen it in this case.)

Ok, I'm not sure exactly what you are looking for - whether it's Karofsky with Kurt while still at high school/college, or after season 6 when they are married and Blainofsky is no more. There are about 750 fics on a03 alone, with the endgame love interest is Kurt and Blaine, and David Karofsky as side character, so check that out. Also our Karofsky tag here. Because Sebastian is (traditionally) hotter than Karofsky and they'd much prefer thinking about them fuck than Blainofsky. ;)

6: Has fandom ever made you enjoy a pairing you previously hated?

It was because of some excellent fandom writers that I really grew to like Blainofsky as a transformative pairing in season 6. There had been so much anger about the pairing before the season aired, it definitely managed to break all of my blacklists, but I really loved the meta and stories that fandom created after each episode exploring the whys and hows.

7: Is there anything you used to like but can’t stand now?

I don't think so? Glee has always been my happy place, so I've been pretty forgiving of its flaws over the years.

16: If you could change anything in the show, what would you change?

I would have given the role of Maria to Mercedes. I think having Rachel lose something that she really wanted would have been better story development for her.

25: Would you change the ending of Glee?

I wouldn't. I thought it was a pretty damn perfect send-off for my beloved perfectly imperfect show.

Let's flip the script! Of all the canon couples, which are the top three that Kurt would join as a third for an evening.

Well I don't think he would be willing to be the third in any couples involving a woman. So that really narrows it down, because what canon mlm couples do we have that don't involve Kurt? Blainofsky... and Rachel's dads? Blaine/Eli if you don't require it to be a couple and just something in canon. But I think that's all? Unless you want to start counting pairings where there were some romantic/sexual feelings/intentions that weren't acted on/reciprocated, in which case I guess you could also say Blam, Seblaine, and Blaine/Jeremiah.

I could see him joining Blam under the right circumstances. Probably not Blainofsky as they are in canon - there's just way too much baggage all around there. And definitely not Seblaine - that would be way too touchy a subject for him to go anywhere near. Similarly if Blaine and Eli ever actually got together, he wouldn't be willing to join them. He would maybe consider Blaine/Jeremiah if that were to ever happen, but... still probably not.

Maybe the Berrys are top of the list? He did date Walter after all lmao. He could absolutely never say a word to Rachel so.
