Dart's backstory is explored at length in the first story in the 1986 ATARI FORCE SPECIAL. While she has a boyfriend in the ongoing series (Blackjak, the dude with the goggles), the SPECIAL gives the distinct impression that she's bisexual; her previous partner was a woman named Dalia, with whom she'd trained both at the military academy and as a mercenary:

Dalia is subsequently killed — by their boss, as it turns out — but this seems pretty gay to me, especially the part about giving each other tattoos after each victory.
