Difficult lesson to learn: Not everything/everyone is worth your time, energy, Story, or breath. . . Sometimes the best thing to do in such instances is to : 1. Recognize the situation (differences in perspectives) at hand 2. Accept/embrace it & the opinions expressed 3. Learn with WHO & WHEN to love from afar 4. In this current society, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed with how noisy & fast-paced everyone and everything can seem sometimes... so it’s extremely PLEASANT when one gets the opportunity to wind down, pause, and relax the #Mind , #Body, & #Soul for a day. This past weekend I had the chance to attend my first #DISCLOSUREFEST in Los Ángeles which was incredible! A beautiful, fun & relaxing day outdoors full of free/donation based: open-dialogue, healing circles, yoga, Zumba, meditation, Reiki, Sound Healing /baths, & so much more! I can’t express enough how Lyfe-changing dedicating time & space to Thyself for Meditation has been for me. It continuously helps me to: Set & achieve goals ✅ Reduce anxiety ✅ Breathe more fluently ✅ Converse (listen & think) with Thyself ✅ Slow down ✅ Be Still (aka non-reACTionary) ✅ Let Go (Flow) ✅ And that’s only some of the benefits! Giving thanks to those organizers that put together such a special gathering. And sending much Love & Light to all the like-spirited individuals I’ve been honored to meet & break bread with recently. I see u(s) vibing into each another’s Divine Paths! 😉 We are all interconnected. Regardless of Distance/Space & Time (zones). So may we continue to practice what we preach. Stay kind and grounded in our convictions, & humbly allow our Testimonies to be used as our YOUniversal Weapon to cut down all fears, anxieties, negative self-talk, and any other barriers society / our Mind may try to subject or conform u(s) to. Today. December 28, 2017. This day means so much to my family and I. I unfortunately don't have many photos of where I consider "Home" (Detroit), so I thought I'd share this photo I took in Kending, Taiwan where I made a carving in the sand for My City. . . It's gradually grown to mean a lot to me that, when I travel, people often unconsciously group all FIFTY of the United States of America as if we are ALL one wealthy, homogenous stereotype of People --- We aren't, well not the majority of all of us (including myself), at least. We actually (have become)/are a diverse Melting Pot of people of different cultures and backgrounds. And the culture that I was born and raised into happens to be the one from Detroit, Michigan. A city that has been on a rollercoaster ride of shifting political leadership, violence, financial struggles, racism, gentrification over the years, but also of growth, investments, music, art, innovation, diversity, brilliance, Community, Solidarity, and Resilience. So today, in the name of Remembrance, "Home", & the beauty of being (reunited) with Family, I pray that we, as a collective, never forget (nor let be forgotten) our Home(town) and Family that oftentimes plays a huge role in the people that we see ourselves grow into. 在我與我的家人看來，今天就是個很重要的一天。 。 。 為自己的家鄉，家人，與親戚應該感到感謝。 最近我剛剛發現許多人對美國人還具有很多誤解/誤區。 我經常一碰到（或開始認識）一個"非"美國人，就被隨便問到一些很有刻板印象性的事情。好像人們通常以為美國的各個地區（與人人都）可以以偏概全，但是這麼料想絕不對，又不行。 美國包括五十個州， 其中許多州具有自己的特點，自己的法律和風俗習慣。我們的人口也是3.2億多， 我們每一個美國人的生活方式與思想怎麼會一模一樣的呢？。。。我們的國家有窮的與富的，很有名的與小人物的，主流文化與另類文化，也有白人，黑人，拉丁人，印第安，等等。 我們畢竟是個大熔爐國家，對吧？ 但我自己的親愛的家鄉就是底特律。 雖然我的城市的情況好像在坐雲霄飛車，在道路遇到一些大起大落，但是我們還在堅持下去。我們正在進一步中。我們漸漸把城市各個方面（政治制度，藝術，暴力，經濟，社會福利，多元文化活動，等）發展起來。 所以請別忘記了，人（城市）不可貌相。一切都有利有弊，但是我們都從我們的無知（不熟悉）的地方中可以學到很多新事。而且也可以多互相尊重，同情，& 理解從而打破（消極）刻板印象。 總之，我向大家挑戰多多考慮到（&研究到）您自己（還有他人）的家人/親戚 & 家鄉/國家。反思一下，從之前的您到現在的您，這些事對您的個人成熟性和人生觀具有多少重要。 & 絕不忘記您的"來源"（您來自哪裡與誰） 👊🏾🙏🏾 #DetroitWasHere #IWasHere #底特律到此一遊 #我到此一遊 #NeverForgetWhereYouComeFrom #Detroit #DetroitNative #the313 #MadeInDetroit #Hometown #pride #queer #BlackExcellence #Family #Remembrance #BlackBoyAbroad #HistoryInTheMaking #travelnoire #Taiwan #底特律 #本地底特律人 #在底特律製造 #及時行樂 #yoyo （在 墾丁某沙灘）

I am a recent college graduate and an amateur photographer that’s just getting his feet wet as I begin a unique stage in my lyfe. Thus, I wanted to share some of my experiences, thoughts, stories, and pictures of some of my travels in mainland China and around the world.

I recently have been feeling like a piece of me is missing. . . And well, there is... and it's been the very people in this city right here (Chicago) that've been such an influential presence in the past 4 years of my lyfe. I can't express enough how much you don't appreciate something or someone until you are taken out of that environment. . . You know, it is often said that it's not really because of the superficial aspects or things at face-value of a specific place that steals our heart & keeps us, but rather the type of people that we meet and choose to keep in our own lives that keep us Present. So in hopes to better understand myself, my needs, and where I feel most capable of living my best lyfe, I am beginning to reflect on the place(s) and people that I come from... And if you have ever voluntarily moved or relocated away from your "Home", I encourage you to also take a moment to reflect on these places you've grown (or would like) to call "Home" and consider yourself, the People you love, your passion(s), your growth, your Journey, your Vision, etc., and...
