Zenos Head for BJD

I wanted to share my Zenos BJD head here with you.

His model is from Dissidia and I found the .fbx file on DeviantArt.

This was when I desided instead of making a 3D printable figure I can just make a BJD :D. Bigger is better, you know?

I never touched 3D modeling before, so learning by doing. Easy!

i started this like. a couple hours ago

its hard to see in the photo but she is *very* glittery so shes done and im not painting her bc itd be hell tryin to make sure the paint doesnt chip on any of the itty bitty little parts

you also cant really see bc my hands covering it but her tail is a cable :)

anyway i have *so* much sparkly grey clay that i dont know what to do with so i might be making more ball jointed dolls this week :3

I still don't have a good cute set for photographing dolls but what I DO have, finally, is a complete coord >:]

I still want to make a couple small tweaks (especially replacing the silver hardware with gold, but I gotta order those and I'd rather wait and order more stuff at one time) BUT my gosh. She was my third doll from this series but immediately became the one I've had the most fun styling 😭

Close ups on the things I can take credit for: the harness is entirely made by me, and the boots are guluUP but I (less impressively) relaced them to fit the overall look better

Haven't printed this one yet, probably won't until after Resin Rose, it depends on how quickly I can get my printer to stop throwing a fit...

She finally came in the mail!!!! Getting this doll was almost a tragedy because the delivery guy just left her box outside the door to my building for some reason? Deliveries never get left out there (for good reason, I live in an urban part of LA, someone could easily just grab it and walk off). But some good person in my building had brought it in and put it on the front desk 😭🙌💕💕💕 so I got the package safe and sound!

Anyways I love her, I’ve never had a ball jointed doll this large (all my dolls are mechanical jointed dolls, except for one teeny one the size of an ob11) and she was sort of a challenge. I had to take her hands off to get her outfit on but you can’t just pop the hands off like a mechanical jointed doll, you have to make sure there’s tension so her strings don’t go back into her body. Her shoes are also attached that way but luckily the pants could fit over them without taking them off!

What’s interesting is that even though she’s a cat themed tv doll, you can make her just a tv themed doll if you want. The ears are magnetic and come off, same with the tail (there’s even a little piece of plastic to cover the magnet that holds the tail) and she has replacement human hands and feet. If I wanted to, I could put her in an entirely different outfit, but right now I’m so enamored with her that she’s staying a cat ^u^

I realize that the busy background of my desk doesn’t make for amazing photos but I’m definitely gonna take more pics in a better location 🥳 also idk what to name her yet so feel free to recommend a name!!
