It’s a collaboration between Forest Doll and an artist I think is called Kazehara Ibara? I think the sculpt name is 小耗.

I wasn’t quite expecting it to be so huge! Usually super stylized dolls like this are closer to 1/6 size 😳

I think I will go with Madigan and will style them in to a medieval style unicorn 🤔 the deer horns were just not working out....

Waaaaah I'm sorry for two posts in one day BUT LOOK AT MY BOY!!! His eyes came and he's finally coming together! He has to share a body with Nari for an indeterminate amount of time but that's ok because I'm just happy he's here (even if Nari is less than thrilled lul 😅)! Meet Zenji, my beautiful lad! You'll see much more of him in the future.

i would like to find a yarn color that is roughly close to this shade of orange:

as the doll is going to be using dark blue eyes and the contrast would look pretty good (ty to my friend for helping me narrow down colors here lol) but well. you would not believe how hard it is to find a more muted light orange. i have been to specialty yarn sites. if i did either of the two multi-colored yarns, it would be for highlights/still mostly orange just with other tones in there :) if u have specific opinions on this please comment bc good god i hate yarn shopping for this.

theyre a doll chateau noah!! hand for scale lmao. im so excited to paint them but i still need to figure out what i want them to look like. i tried to brainstorm some ideas but it was tricky bc i couldnt find a many examples of the peach skin aside from the swatch photo so i wasnt sure what colors would look good, which in turn meant i wasnt sure what style i wanted to go for... i was pleasantly surprised that it was not nearly as pink as id expected, which really opens up my options!! gonna revisit my sketches today & see what i come up with :)

Lil' Fella--

AS PROMISED (Again, to myself.) here he is-- lil Fella, my Miss Jia by Dollzone. :) He is a legit doll! I've got his big kid papers and everything. It should be noted that he is NOT an estate doll; I bought him from his previous owner in person at a convention. It was....a long time ago so uh, I don't remember what I paid.

He hasn't been worked on since 2020-- I might need to do a bit of touching up here and there.

The lighting for today's pics aren't like..great. We're approaching "Big ol' Winter Storm 2025" soon so everything is very grey at the Picture Taking Table. ANYWAY! All his bits and bobs are below the cut!

De-stringing this guy was tough. Not as tough as REstringing him but that was a problem for Future (IE me, currently typing this.) Rose to worry about. Anyway lets look a-

Fran- FRANKIE.

She threw me for such a loop that I took a blurry face pic. FRANKIE.

Here's the back of the head--

Just a few small markings-- few little numbers and such.

Ignore the messy eye wells; I gave up getting the putty out. I'm a little lazy.

Some marks into the back of the head cap, too.

I really like his soft little side profile! Sweepy...

Next, lets take a look at these big ol' sloth arms.

They need touching up and the lighting was giving my iphone camera trouble, but..here we are!

Very tiny, so tiny. You saw the hooks before Frankie-terrorism. Difficult to photograph in poor lighting.

The big ol' sloth arms connect to these lil' ol' string bean arms. They were finicky to restring, but they look cute once all together.

SO. So small.

These chicken wings are his tiny nubbin feet. Also in need of some touch up. Not sure how I feel about the nubbins, honestly.

Torso time! So far all his little parts have looked like tiny bones. The torso parts look especially bone-like to me.

Or maybe a weirdly shaped piece of dead coral?

It feels very delicate but having manhandled it recently in an attempt to restring..he's not as delicate as you may think!

I reworked some of his rubbed off paint and such today-- but I'm not feeling it. Might give him some new faceup later. Anyway- PROMISE (to myself) FULFILLED. Stay safe and warm during HELL FREEZE 2025 if you're in the affected areas! See ya'll next time. :)
