Summary: Given that Ed is past words and beyond belief, surely it's fair to break the rules right in half.

Comments: This is a romance, of a sort, because it's less about these two falling in love and more about the resistance to it. Roy works for the department of misused magic, and is the one who figures out what the Elrics did, but this story starts years later where Roy is shredding tables with his fingernails trying to hold back starting a relationship with Ed due to a range of optics. The age difference, the power difference, Ed being underage. There's such pining from both of them.

I also love how Ed's genius transfers over, from getting a mix of magic and mechanical to work (his automail) to inventing a charm that turns all the crumbs on his shift from messy eating habits into a small biscut.

Flooring for schools: Breakout areas

What is a breakout area?

Despite the slightly misleading name, breakout areas aren't just designed for breaks and breaks only. Breakout areas are a space outside of the classroom which offers students and staff an informal space to meet, study, relax and socialise.

Creating these spaces for students to gather outside of the classroom is invaluable to learning. An extension of the classroom, these informal seating areas allow students to study quietly alone or together in teams to continue class discussions or work on group projects. Everyone learns differently and for some these flexible and collaborative spaces will inspire creativity and collaboration, allowing students more control over their education.

Breakout areas also acts a time-out zone (not the bad time out, the I just need 5 minutes time-out) where students can enjoy a bit of normality before returning to the chaos of the classroom. We all need a bit of 'me' time every now and then when things get a bit much, breakout areas are safe place for students to go.

It’s all in the interior design choices

Breakout areas should be flooded with vivid and stimulating colours to motivate students and get their creative thoughts pumping. It's amazing how much flooring can totally transform the look and feel of the room. Therefore, opting for fresh new carpet tiles or vinyl flooring can totally transform a dull and tired space into a motivational breakout area.

for those of you who aren't on twitter, some indie studio started dmca'ing art of belle the tinkerer claiming that her design copied their character, boingkid's design. even jennifer hernandez, an artist for the idw comics, was hit with this.

basically this rando claims they own the concept of clowns and freckles.

for context, here's what boingkid looks like.

now compare it with belle's design.

yeah you can see they look nothing alike and this studio is doing some massive olympic freestyle reaching. they're even so petty as to do this.

(and they even tagged the wrong sonic account there)

apparently, this studio contacted idw to distribute their comics. but it was never picked up so its safe to say they're doing this out of petty jealousy.

so yeah, it seems like we've got another ken penders situation on our hands. hopefully, idw handles this properly before it escalates.
