I had this event a while ago to do with celebrating culture and we were given the option to wear cultural dress. Iâm half Scottish and Korean for context. I donât have a full hanbok (traditional Korean dress) or a full kilt HOWEVER I did have a norigae from my halmeoni as well as a headpiece part of a traditional hanbok. As well as that I had a sash in the tartan of our family clan in Scotland that I wore with a kilt pin decorated with thistles (flower of Scotland) as well as the crest of our clan. From the kilt pin I attsched the norigae (hanbuk accessory), so I was basically walking around in half a kilt and less than half a hanbuk. Ridiculous? Perhaps. However I find joy in creating my own culture between my two backgrounds. I bear connection to my family and Korea as well as the clan in Scotland. I am equally Koran as I am Scottish and equally Scottish as I am Korean.
Join me next time when I wear a kilt over a hanbokâ
*gets struck down by my ancestors*

but genuinely you canât be doing the whole âoooooh two divorcees looking for emotional connection after heartbreak!â and âI believe in romcommunismâ and âis it Ted that Rebecca is texting on banter???â and âwatch as they grow independence and self love but constantly with the feeling theyâre intertwined in some lovely, chosen wayâ just to go âactually they never get to together and Ted fucks off back home to the place that is now shaped by not great memoriesâ. The fuck??? Iâm bisexual, I was so there for the deeply unlikely TedTrent but I always thought TedBecca would happen because it makes more narrative sense. For two whole seasons they orbited around each other with this impending sense of collision, this hope they could find love in the strangest of conditions, in a stranger theyâd never have chosen, only for that to be completely ignored??? This isnât about ooooh heterosexual couple didnât kiss (I will die on the bi4bi or at least Bi Ted hill fuck you) itâs about the fact that now, tons of moments are stupid as fuck! You played that with a hint of romance! You played that like something was going to happen! You wouldnât shut up about Rebeccaâs love life and Tedâs need to let go and have somebody else handle it all for him, they seemed made for each other from the start and you went ânah fuck itâ????? WHAT IS THIS????
#ted lasso critical#sorry to tedbeccas!!! sorry to you!!!#coming from a ted multishipper who would have cheered if beard and him kissed with tongue#you guys were the ones who were supposed to win! we were meant to go âah shame about tedtrent but we did see this coming congratsâ#and then all go back to ao3 together in peace!!! I was going to read tedbecca celebration fics invetween roykeeleyjamie and tedtrent ones!!!#AND WE ALL FUCKING LOST#Iâm enlisting in tedbecca army now how did this happen#FOR A SEEMINGLY CISHET WHITE COUPLE???? THEY LOST??????? THEY NEVER LOSE????#wow. literally the one couple like that I was rooting for above all the other options and they went fuck you. ted gets nobody and goes home#yeah you wish you were crazy ex girlfriend. but youâre not. they EARNT that ending. you earnt none of that. lord above it sucked#ted lasso spoilers#ted lasso#also sorry back in my notes to clarify as a person who is also mixed race#I know cishet couples can lose if itâs a biracial couple <3 but like#just used heterosexual as shorthand sorry

more insight on milesâ puerto rican heritage for your fics or fanart
- traditional quinceaĂąeras (or as they are often called by puerto ricans quinceaĂąeros) are really not that common anymore, most girls nowadays have pool parties or go on a cruise. if miles were to go to one of his cousinsâ 15 birthday party, chances are it would be casualâ no big poofy dress (his mom probably had one like that though)
edit: some people disagree on this. depends on how traditional your family and friend group is I guess, as well as which part of the island youâre from. on average, it seems to be a far bigger deal amongst some other latines. in my class in pr only 3 out of approx 30 girls had a big event like that. not a single one of my cousins had a traditional quince either so you could say Iâm partly biased bc of my own experiences. i personally just had a big pool party
- plantains are a big part of our diet. also, pr being an island in the caribbean, coconut is in a lot of our desserts. if miles had to pick a favorite fruit I hc heâd pick either one of the two lol also please google our food, our food isnât actually spicy so much as savory
- we âcelebrateâ thanksgiving like other americans. itâs about the only time we eat oven roasted turkey. for winter holidays (christmas eve/day, new years eve/day, three kings day/eve) oven roasted pork. chicken might be offered as a second option for people who donât consume pork for whatever reason
- youâre pretty much taught how to dance as soon as you can walk. most of us have basic rhythms down. chances of miles dancing with his mom or friends at parties? astronomically high.
- the reason why our flag is everywhere, besides pride, is âcause it was illegal to own it. look up the gag law that prohibited us from even displaying it at our homes. so itâs actually an awesome detail in these movies
- this is my opinion/a fun fact but I feel like miles is basically an homage to black and puerto rican (specifically nuyorican) solidarity around the 70s-80s during the creation of hip-hop and rise of graffiti as a form of expression (you can easily read up on this or watch shows like the get down to learn more about this if youâre curious)
- whether youâre ânuyoricanâ or âfrom the islandâ spanglish is common so milesâ mixing english and spanish isnât odd bc even rio does this as miles points out in the party scene. he isnât a âno saboâ kid so much as someone with a strong accent. he understands his mom perfectly
- race â ethnicity. there are plenty of black people in and from Puerto Rico, and milesâ pr family in the spiderverse films are designed to be for the most part afro-latine. so I wouldnât really call him biracial
- the puerto rican day parade wouldnât be a thing he skips, heâs gifted a special suit for it in a comic run. his puerto rican heritage is important to him!
#if youâre writing and need cultural insight i donât mind messages hhhhh#what he represents matters a lot to me#spiderverse#miles molares#spiderman#punkflower#gwiles#flowerbyte

It shouldnât take a rocket scientist to see that Asha isnât nearly as thin as Disneyâs earlier 3D princesses but apparently it does. Sounds like op is the one who canât let 2010 go because this comparison came out of nowhere.
people, can't believe i have to say this, Asha and Isabella don't look alike. look at the wildly different profiles! they are just both disney brown girls with dark hair in purplish dresses
Similarly, Asha does not look like Esmeralda
or even really Elena
you know who's face profile she does map over?
friggin'
rapunzel
the hair even parts in the exact same place!
c'mon disney, did you have to reuse this body model AGAIN? you think just because you tweaked it very slightly, we wouldn't recognize the same silhouette??
disney, you just did Encanto, did you learn nothing about designing female characters? You also did Raya, and Strange Worlds, and Moana-
let 2010 gooo already
#Wish has enough issues of its own without you people bringing up character design#for the millionth time#like this is Disney weâre talking about#isnât it kinda messed up to start trashing a movie just because their female protagonist isnât âdifferentâ enough for you#letâs celebrate the fact that sheâs our first biracial disney princess#and our second black disney princess#also YES a person can be black and biracial at the same time Iâm not fighting any of you weirdos about this

Did you know that the creator of #Inktober stole his work from a Black artist?
Now you do!
I want to kick off October by talking about #Blacktober, an event for supporting Black and Black biracial artists that ran from 2020 to 2023!
According to the organizers' own website:
In response to the creator of Inktober plagiarizing his art book from Alphonso Dunn, and the antiblack harassment Black cosplayers and artists face for re-imagining their favorite characters as Black in media and an art community where we're underrepresented - we created #Blacktober in 2020 in hopes to celebrate ourselves, nurture the community and create a positive, empowering space for Black creatives.
Any Black creative and/or cosplayer can tell you that creating or cosplaying beloved characters while Black will lead to vitriol. From comments as supposedly "harmless" such as "oh thats the "Black version" of [character]" (instead of acknowledging that they are the character), to more overt antiblackness like "n***er [character]" and "[character] isn't Black!" with the intent to mock both the creator and the character in question. They suggest that the Blackness is an insult to the character, that it's not accurate. Far less normalized is anyone saying "white [character]" or "cracker [character]" about white people cosplaying nonwhite characters.
Virulent antiblack racism towards organizers and participants was amongst the main reasons that the organizers had to let go of hosting Blacktober.
We've had a blast with everyone these past 3 years watching fan art to original creations be born out of a passion for seeing ourselves in media. However, we, the organizers, are no longer able to keep going with this event, especially with the current state of social media. We've had to combat a lot both on the front lines and behind the scenes. Not just the organizers, but also those participating. This, along with time, was two of the few reasons why we've decided to sunset.
While Blacktober itself is unfortunately no longer an organized event, Black and Black biracial artists might still choose to draw something for the month under the #Blacktober tag.
No, this is not for nonblack creatives to participate in themselves. Not for you nor your Black OCs!
It's a shame that racism constantly seeks to destroy what Black people create, and that it's so common to steal, take credit for, and benefit from our work. But you can avoid being a part of that by supporting Black creatives in your space! I am sure they are there, if you put in the effort to look for them! Search the tag- you might find old AND new work! This also includes standing by them when they speak up on mistreatment within your communities. When you don't speak against antiblack racism, it means you tolerate its existence. And when you tolerate antiblackness, guess what it makes you? We can't say fandom is for everyone, and then not act to make it so. Let's do better.
Happy Blacktober!

I'm sorry for this question, as I'm sure you receive similar ones often, but do you have any resources on how to pick a new name for yourself specifically for people of color? I want to be called something that encapsulates my whole identity, including my culture. Thanks!
okay that's tough because i picked my name before i became aware i was a person of color
it became a hot button issue when i came out as a biracial person because so many people focused on my skin tone and not any of my other traits, or the fact that i have in fact posted pictures of my father and he does in fact have an afro, dark skin, and facial traits of a nonwhite person. i didn't realize it for years because my mom told me both myself and my dad were just white, but he isn't. i remember touching his hair and looking at him as a kid now that i've seen pictures of him again. i haven't seen him in person in a decade. he divorced my mother when i was 10. it's hard to recall what he looks like at times because i haven't seen him in ages, but he is in fact a person of color, and so am i.
when it comes to race, i can understand wanting to pick a name that really sums you up and includes who you are like. on a bone deep level. on a level you cannot change, the part of you that shapes the way you see and interact with the world. i would say honestly, either look to the people in your life who are the same ethnicity as you, and see if there's anyone with names you may like in particular. you may also want to look up popular names for people of your race, or look to friends you may have online. maybe even celebrities or influencers. it's up to you, if you want to completely immerse yourself in your culture, go for it
nobody should have to feel obligated to adopt a white or "normal" sound name, or whatever. its your name, if you want to choose something deeply cultural and "obviously" a name a person of color would have, go for it! the sky is really the limit. i have not thought about a middle name yet so that's not something i've considered, but it's a great talking point, some people need to also include their culture in their name.

"It's very impossible for a biracial to be 43% Nigerian unless one parent is Nigerian" According to the Mail UK, Doria is NOT black. She's biracial with a WHITE ancestor and multiple mulatto (mixed race) and coloured (mixed race) ancestors...
Long read, apologies for any grammar errors
This hysteria is getting out of control and is making the anti Sussex look somewhat deranged to an outsider. Iâm just what Iâm seeing and trying to bring the volume down.
Iâve seen Nigerians being called all kinds of things as being backwards as a result of practicing an unfounded vicious rumor of bestiality on females, when gender surgeries on childfen are on high demand in the west.
Theyâre are called corrupt, the poorest country in the world, no running water, electricity, kidnappings when human trafficking is on a large scale in the west, less we forget Epstein, Andrew and the other elites and lower elites. Epstein allegedly viciously SAed over 300 young girls. Thereâs a huge list of missing kids and adults in West? Where did they all go?
Yes, Nigeria like every other country needs help and by Godâs grace the lordâs riches will solve all this unnecessary poverty wherever it exits.
Now, Megâs 43% Nig, and as a Nigerian, I donât believe, though Iâve gone to Nairaland to get peoples opinions on this visit and her so called heritage. People are more pro her, though there are some detractors with somr sense, though they easily drown them.
Her alleged new heritage is not a battle that a Caucasian will win. Itâs best for Nigerians to believe whatever, and it explains how amongst other reason, colonization was easily done. Itâs sad that some of my people can be got. People see a black, African, biracial in power and think theyâll be good for black folks. Itâs one of the biggest scams in the world and black folks havenât learned.
I didnât really articulate myself on why Caucasians should stay out of this. Itâs sort of a complex issue. I understand the Caucasians pov, but itâs up to Nigerians to accept it. Has anyone really seen that so called DNA? I have never heard anyone ask? Itâs very impossible for a biracial to be 43% N, unless she has a one parent from Nigeria.
It tells a lot: Sussex drops her, but Nigeria welcomes her. Iâm embarrassed to be Of Nigerian descent to be honest. I love that we live in the world where we can claim anything. I am now 25 % Antartican.
Imho, the best thing, would have been for people to voice their concerns, but ignore her. Thatâd have been the biggest humiliation. Just like low ratings of TV shows get canceled.
Once meg, announced she was Nigerian, I knew it wouldnât have been long for her to claim physical territory in Nigeria. The rf shouldâve been waiting and anticipated this, and put those titles in abeyance, and held on to the titles of their children and just said they were sorting things out. My gut is telling that itâs too late for that. Itâs like not treating an infection early to prevent amputation of the foot.
Charles on the other hand is serving what?. All I hear from thr rf is the silly nonsense about who invited whom to stay where, who couldnât see whom, and some other nonsense. When did GB, become like this? When have they lost the courage in acting right? Where is Churchill, Baldwin?
Edward the 8th and wallis could do whatever, but then the difference was that they were no longer part of the firm, kicked out of England, and didnât leave on their own accord and visit at anytime like harry. That was a reality check. The RF has left this rogue, evil, scheming son get this vicious, and the price to pay is very painful.
Thank you.  The rumours you hear about Nigeria donât come from this blog or other blogs here on Tumblr.  We have one focus, and that is Harryâs wife.  I do agree that we have a difficult time understanding the love anyone has for her.  But let me be clearâŚ.the fact that she is claiming to be 43% Nigerian hits us hard. (Note an author named Georgina Lawton claimed to have her DNA done and announced she was 43% Nigerian, not saying she isnât, but rather it explains where Harryâs wife arrived at this, as usual she steals from others, including their DNA results).  She has claimed to be part Maltese as well, because a great great grandmother lived on the island of Malta.  She has claimed to be Jewish and Catholic.  She has implied she was Canadian when in fact she is AmericanâŚI could go on and on.  This is what we all take issue with.  She uses and abuses, people and places, countries, religions etc.  She has always gotten away with these lies because no one would call her out.  We have worked so hard for so many years to expose her.  Now we finally are seeing results, people see what we see.  I am in complete agreement the BRF should have stopped this long ago, I shake my head as to why they have not.  I do appreciate all you have said, and again I will ponder.â¤ď¸
#not 43% black let alone Nigerian#royalty is not celebrity#merch your royalty#just call me harry#using your office for personal gain#can't buy credibility#lies and the lying liars who tell them#formerly royal#f'ing grifters#unsussexful#surrogacy isn't a crime but lying is#pray for Catherine or leave her alone#irs audit Archwell#baka abuse#where are the children#media hypocrisy#biracial

so i had a fun time talking with @avoidantvoidd this morning and got inspired to write a fic about Desmond being biracial (half white half syrian) and i focused on arab culture and yeah, here it is if anyone's interested
basically it's ramadan and desmond is sad about not being able to properly participate and it kinda fucks up his animus syncing, so becks and shaun decide to do something about it
Desmond comes up from the animus with a gasp, clutching at his throat. Heâd been unfocused, hadnât seen the guard coming at him before it was too late. He coughs, the taste of blood lingering on his tongue as the world steadily slows its spinning. He can hear voices, see faces that arenât really there, feel the cold metal slicing his neck-
âDesmond!â Heâs startled out of his thoughts by a very worried Rebecca. Right, heâs Desmond Miles, he was in the animus, he desynced. He groans and tugs the needle out, hunching over and clutching his stomach.
âMerda, fa male,â he wheezes. He shuts his eyes tightly. âNo, wrong language, fuck⌠Sorry. Give me a minute.â
âWhat gives, Des? This is the fifth time youâve desynced in half an hour. We need you to get through this memory.â Her voice sounds far away as he tries to separate himself from Ezio. He recites movie quotes under his breath, tries to remember his days as a bartender, remember what date it is.
It's Ramadan.
Fuck.
âFuckâŚâ
Shaun glances at Desmond over the rim of his glasses. "You aren't planning on fasting, are you?â Desmond cringes. He didnât mean to say it out loud. Shaun keeps going. âFate of the world hanging in the balance and all? We need you at your best, relatively speaking."
Desmond sighs and rubs his face. The bags under his eyes are more pronounced, stubble growing sporadically across his jaw, hair a mess. He shakes his head.
"No. I... I'd like to, but it's... not the same. Alone," he mutters tiredly. Beck and Shaun share a concerned look.
"Try to get some rest, Des," she says, powering down the animus. He nods mutely and stands on unsteady feet, slowly making his way to the room they have their bedrolls in.
"Poor guy," Becks whispers," Must be hard, being so disconnected from his culture." Shaun nods silently, staring as the door to their room shuts behind Desmond. "What do you know about Ramadan?", she asks. Shaun pauses. What does he know?
It's a social holiday, focusing on fasting during the sunlit hours of the day, followed by a big feast with family and friends. It lasts for 29 to 30 days, then is followed by three or four days of Eid, the celebration time. Sweets, gifts, parties, dances, music, it's all community based, and here they are, an American, a brit, and a sad Arab.
He sighs. As much as Shaun loathes Desmond, he can understand the isolation that comes with finding himself in such a different environment. "Okay," he says, "Here's what we're going to do."
Desmond wakes up from his nap not knowing if he feels better or worse. He groans, turns on his side, then the other, before deciding he wouldn't get anymore sleep. He stands, shadows dancing in his vision; Altair, Malik and Maria, sitting together around a warm meal. His stomach growls. God, when was the last time he ate?
No light seeps through the rotted curtains, alerting him that it's night. He must have slept for a while if it's already dark out. The others aren't in their beds though, so it can't be that late.
He slowly makes his way back to what was most likely a living room, before freezing at the door to the sorry excuse of a kitchen they have. Shaun and Rebecca were there, cooking together. Desmond shakes his head to make sure he's actually awake. He can see some of the food they'd already put out: a bowl of fresh dates, kisra and moulah, falafels, salata't rob, even a platter with freshly cut watermelon. When he looks back at what they were preparing now, he could see the telltale golden hue of one of his favorite sweets; basbousa.
Rebecca's the first to notice him standing there in shock. She offers a grin and beckons him to the table. "Hey, Des! We thought you could use a little pick me up," she says. Shaun rolls his eyes, cutting the cake into even squares and placing an almond in the middle of each one.
"Little is quite the understatement, don't you think?", he snarks, wiping his hands clean of the syrup, "We have enough food to feed a small town." Becks shoves his shoulder with a laugh. "Oh hush, this was your idea!" Shaun sputters.
"I- it was not! I simply answered your questions-"
"Then decided to look up the proper recipes and go out and buy the right ingredients and put in the time and effort to make all of this-"
"Listen, it wouldn't be worth anything if we couldn't do the culture justice!", he bristles, face a lovely shade of red. Rebecca snickers and drops the conversation, looking over to Desmond who's still simply staring.
"I...", he starts, swallows the lump in his throat, "What is this?"
Shaun scoffs. "What does it look like? Iftar. And you're late, the sun set over an hour ago."
"Iftar... But you don't celebrate, why...?" Shaun's gaze softens ever so slightly. He shifts his weight from one leg to another. "Well, Rebecca and I have noticed you weren't... performing as well as usual. So, we thought giving you a break and something nice would help get you back to your old self, however poor your performance already was." Desmond laughs despite the jab. "You did this for me. All of this, you..." His voice breaks. Dammit, he's not going to cry, he's not going to cry, he's not-!
Thin arms wrap around him tightly, the smell of rubber and cheap shampoo a strange yet comforting mix.
"You deserve nice things, Des," Rebecca says, rubbing soothing circles on his back. He hugs her tightly in return, tears stinging at his eyes.
He hasn't been able to truly participate in this holiday since he ren away from the farm, not having anyone around him to share it with. It used to be fine, but recently, with Altair's memories still knocking around in his head, and Ezio's celebrations he couldn't get through, it hurt a lot more. He never realized how alone he felt.
Taking a deep breath, he slowly pulls away from Rebecca to give her a warm smile. She gives one back and pats his shoulder. "Come on," she says, taking a seat at the table, "You better eat while it's still warm, I did not spend all this time and effort just for us to get a cold meal."
Desmond laughs. He's about to join her when he notices Shaun standing awkwardly with his arms crossed. The tips of his ears are still pink.
"Shaun?", he calls. The brit perks up. "Yes?" "Thank you." Shaun releases a breath he didn't know he was holding. "Don't mention it."
As they sit down and break the fast they hadn't started that day with a date, Desmond feels at home for the first time in a long time.
"Ramadan Kareem, Desmond," Shaun says with a hint of a smile. Desmond beams. He canât help the fondness warming his chest. Maybe⌠maybe heâd be okay after all. Saving the world can wait for just one night.
âRamadan Kareem, you guys.â
â⌠you overcooked the falafels. â
âJust shut it and eat, Miles!â

Darren Criss embraces technology and his mixed heritage in his Broadway premiere
Late last month, I spoke with Darren Criss for his upcoming Broadway premiere, Maybe Happy Ending, in which he plays a robot (a Helperbot to be specific) named Oliver whoâs been deemed obsolete by technological standards. Another Helperbot, Claire, asks to borrow his charger, and thus begins a unique friendship between the two.
Maybe Happy Ending was written and produced in both Korean and English and has had performances all over the world. This production features Asian American creatives both on stage and behind the scenes. Criss himself identifies as half-Filipino on his motherâs side, and has said his feelings on his identity have evolved over the years. In 2018, he was quoted in Vulture saying that he did not identify as Asian American. In 2020, he would later shift his perspective after playing a half-Filipino character in Ryan Murphyâs Hollywood, telling People:Â
âItâs a tricky cocktail in America ... Anyone who is biracial can attest to this: No matter how much or how little they look like their respective mix, itâs a constant work in progress ⌠Iâve always been proud of my heritage, of being Filipino. Just because people donât see it, doesnât make it any less real to me.â
I got the chance to speak with Criss not just about identity, but about his career at large, how he relates to the character of Oliver, and what audiences will take from Maybe Happy Ending.
This interview has been edited for clarity and length.
Bri Ng Schwartz: As a biracial person with Asian identity, how does it feel to be working on a show thatâs been produced and written in both Korean and American? Darren Criss: This show isnât categorically an Asian show. It is very much a universal humanâs show, but it happens to celebrate and represent a large degree of Asian-ness. Anytime you can show up for your cultural identity, thatâs always a very exciting thing. Itâs very exciting that the vast majority of people working on the show, on stage and off, are of Asian American mix and descent. The Asian experience is not a singular experience. Itâs a very large breadth of backgrounds, so itâs been fun for all of us to bring our own experiences and stories to the table.Â
BNS: I saw you about 10 years ago at the Belasco when you were starring as Hedwig in Hedwig and the Angry Inch. DC: Oh boy. This will be a little different.Â
BNS: Yeah, definitely different. As you return to the Belasco for Maybe Happy Ending, how do you think youâve evolved as a performer in the last 10 years? DC: I hopefully have evolved as a person. If Iâm the same person that was 10 years ago, then we have a serious problem. Iâm just still trying to learn, still trying to connect as many dots as I can. Hopefully I never know the answer to that.
BNS: We are forever learning as humans. DC: Exactly.Â
BNS: I spoke to your former on-screen father, Jon Jon Briones, a couple of months ago. DC: Heâs the best, and he was part of this production! This show has been around in many iterations for a long time, and he actually was part of a reading several years ago. We find ourselves connected yet again, me and Jon Jon. Heâs awesome. Heâs the best.
BNS: Do you take any advice or inspiration from people like Jon Jon or other seasoned Broadway vets in your work? DC: There are these goalposts that artists may think are the be-all and end-all of what makes a successful career. Jon Jonâs consistency and longevity are the goalposts. Heâs one of these guys, if I mention his name, half of the room knows him or has worked with him. There are a lot of guys like Jon Jon who just are constantly a part of things. And thatâs the goal. Success in devoting yourself long form to the craft, which he has done in spades.
BNS: In Maybe Happy Ending you play Oliver, a Helperbot 3. Do you think there are any parallels between you and how Oliver perceives the world? DC: I am endlessly curious and endlessly trying to download and learn as much as I can from the world around me, whether consciously or unconsciously. I happen to be a human being, and Oliver is not.Â
Iâm still getting under the skin of this guy, of this robot. Iâm finding a lot of parallels as far as the desire to please. I always say Iâm in the service industry. I service ideas and emotions and people. That is my vocation. My programming.
BNS: Do you think that audiences are going to walk away from this show feeling differently about their technology? DC: Technology becomes more human in the way we treat it. When people put away their phones, they get sad. Theyâre like an appendage. Weâve already started to ascribe emotional connectivity to our non-human components. People will walk away with perhaps a more emotional experience with the human components they have in their life.
The battery life that our devices have are a microcosm metaphor for our own battery life, our own shelf life, and our own energy. The finite amount of time that we have, and really coming to peace with the idea that we are a transient technology ourselves, considering that, and hopefully, making sure that your battery life is spent on the right things, I think is the thing I hope people walk away with this show.
On top of hopefully singing the songs, because theyâre beautiful.Â
BNS: They really are. Thank you so much for taking the time today. On behalf of mixed theater kids everywhere, thank you. I donât think I would be who I am without having you to look up to. DC: Thank you for letting me be a part of it.
