It makes me sad that there are no pictures of Mick with baby Karis… He did her and Marsha so, so wrong. I read somewhere that he had Karis with him once when she was a baby but gave all his attention to Jade. Nothing breaks my heart more than a child being ignored or abandoned. He didn’t get involved in Karis’s life until she was 12, although I’ve seen some pictures of her with him when she was younger than that. However, she’s always next to someone else, not him—like the photo of Karis in the hammock with Jerry or the one of Mick outside his mansion, with Marsha holding Karis in the background, looking neglected (that photo makes me so sad).
I always wonder why he treated Marsha and Karis so terribly, especially since he asked Marsha to have the baby. Was it because Karis was a girl? If so, that’s strange, considering he didn’t have a son until he was with Jerry. Mick seems close to Karis now, but I wonder if she ever resented him for how he treated her back then.

This photo is claimed to be of Karis and Mick — I'm not 100% sure but apparently it is! Jade's eyes are lighter and this is definitely early 70s, so if this is one of Mick's daughters and it's not Jade, it's probably Karis. Just saying this because I don't know where the photo came from but even Dailymail says this is Karis.
Hey anon, I have answered similar asks that you can check out: here, here and here. Please check them out, but just to further complete these asks I will add more things here.
Marsha told me that one of the reasons that she had Karis was that Mick was so unhappy about losing me and everything falling apart, he wanted a baby, that he felt that might give him some sense of solidity again. And that is why she had the child — yes, she told me that herself.
Marianne Faithfull to A. E. Hotchner, The Rolling Stones and the Death of the Sixties.
That's what Marianne said to A. E. Hotchner in the 80s, but she left it out of her autobiography in the 90s. There are no further details of this conversation between her and Marsha. Marsha also left this out of her autobiography, whether intentionally or because the conversation only happened after publication I don't know.
"I love my daughters," declared Jagger. "But there's nothing like having a first son." Concurred Jerry: "He's crazy about his girls, but to be honest, a fourth daughter would have been a real disappointment. Mick's so English, you know."
Christopher P. Andersen, Jagger Unauthorized.
So, this alleged statement was made after the birth of Jerry and Mick's son, James (Jerry was pregnant with twins, but one died in her womb when it was approximately 5 months old). Christopher P. Andersen doesn't say the source of those quotes and I don't know where it's from, so be careful. BUT, my opinion is that there is a good chance that this is true. I kind of believe in the probability of it.
I agree that the whole situation is very cruel and that sexism played a part in it — there are so many quotes from different people talking about Mick being too "englishman" back then.
Concurred [Bebe] Buell: "He loved [Bianca] so much more than he admitted. Mick was a very traditional Englishman when it came to his marriage. He wanted her to stay home and take care of the kids while he did what he pleased."
-
"There was definite competition between Bianca and Mick," said a mutual friend. "She was definitely the queen at Studio 54, and Mick resented being upstaged. If Bianca was not going to stay at home and cook and raise Jade, then at least Mick wanted her to have a job. He thought Bianca was a dillettante.
Christopher P. Andersen, Jagger Unauthorized.
Thanks so much for the ask! I love chatting about this. All hyperlinks lead to posts where this quote has already been mentioned.

‘I don’t know why Mick did that because he told me at the time that Karis was his child,’ Jagger’s ex-girlfriend Catherine James told me.
‘I think the problem was that Marsha wanted something from him — i.e. money. At the beginning, she had told him she would deal with everything to do with the baby herself.
She’d said: “Don’t worry about this. I’m going to care of it.” And then she was suing him. I think that put Mick off, to say the least.
This, I don't think, requires any commentary 🤬

Poor Karis, she had to deal with poverty when her father was one of the biggest frontman for the world's most famous rock band. Marsha should've been more devious towards him like Binaca, she shouldve exposed him. it's not funny, but Mick looks ridiculous trying to look civilized for his court date. 🫣
