King Allant led Boletaria with a round table of brave knights. The royal Twin Fangs, Vallarfax and Biorr, Alfred, the knight of the tower, Metas, the knight of the lance, and the brave tribesman, Long Bow Oolan and his fearsome legions.

But today, Boletaria is an abysmal mess. Vallarfax was lost and Biorr slipped through the fissure, never to be heard from again. All the rest, along with Boletaria, have been devoured by the fog, and will soon be prey for the Demons.

The Boletarian knights are no longer.

Overall similairities between some of these:

Has a pet: Artorias has his wolf Sif (and seems to also somehow know Alvina, the cat who guides us to Sif in the DLC), Ivory Kings has like, 5 giant kitties of whom we know Aava, Lud and Zullen, Abyss Watchers have the Old Wolf of Farron (idk if he counts as a pet tho), Ludwig has a horse, Radahn has a horse (and in the pre day 1 patch version he also has a cat).

Can wield a weapon in left hand: Artorias' sword in DS2 mentions that all of its owners were left-handed and it's a very popular headcanon that Artorias was a leftie. Ivory King is left-handed. Abyss Watchers have a dagger in their left hand. Radahn dual-wields. Ludwig is left-handed.

Throws an enemy at you: Penetrator and Artorias. Also, Gael, but he isn't here.

You have some unique help in the fight: Biorr helps you with Penetrator (he shows up physically and DeS doesn't have npc *summon* system), Ivory King is fought with the help of Loyce Knights (and two NPCs if you'd like), one or two Abyss Watchers fight on your side in the first phase, Radahn has a huge pool of respawnable NPC summons

I don't know enough words in English language to describe how much I love this category of boss fights where we, a player, have to put down a once good dude who's now corrupted by something.

Also, I feel like I could've made some kind of a Vienn diagram, because some of them definitely share tropes like "has an animal" or "can wield a weapon in the left hand".

Hello all!

I’m starting to set up the Fromsoft Armoured Hottie (?) Tournament. I’ve got a list of 48 and there’ll be a three way semi-final for Side A and Side B. I did really enjoy having a 64 candidate tournament but making polls was pretty tedious so I’d really prefer a smaller list.

I’ll make a new sideblog and advertise it here! I won’t be tagging the games on each poll because I don’t want to flood the tags again, so I’d really appreciate if people shared it around as much as possible. I’m not expecting this to be as popular the monster tournament, realistically.

I revised the original list I posted here so I’ll need to post the updated version.
