And here I am, without much to share visually AAAAAA BUT HEY! I decided to compile my fav bunch of art I did during those years of the Reboot/G2 that made me rediscover such a cool franchise (and the last artworks are two of the most modern ones).

Plus, I can really say that without these art experimentations, I wouldn't have developed so many of my modern rendering techniques!

havjbg trouble sleeping so im thinking about how in college i skipped out on going to a house party to attend a "bionicle night" where one of my friends dressed in a suit and explained in chronological detail through a powerpoint the entire history and lore of bionicle. i have never played with bionicles. every time the host said "mata nui" another person would go "bababooey" and then the host would pull out a nerf gun and shoot him.

honestly one of my best college experiences. also important to note was the host was a commuter and brought over every single one of his bionicles and lined them up in release order over several tables

Mata Nui thoughts in my brain. First is oh he hasnt had a lot of touch while he fucked off in space for 99k years, has he? maybe he'd be a little guarded abt it at first and then when he gets friends he feels safe with and they kind of put their hands on his shoulder hes like "actually this is the best thing ever and i would like for you to keep doing that until i die please and thank you". Second is Ackar randomly going "oh youll outlive me probably. ha." completely calm and Mata Nui suddenly having to grapple with premature grief and having a terrible time about it
