{{CALL FOR ASSISTANCE}}
Tumblr media
Hey there, We need to cut the color for a second. We're not particularly fond of having to make posts like this,(in fact I hate it, because it makes me feel like im just using people) but in the moment I, don't feel like we have many other options.
Names Kitty Hawthorne, but you can call me arcade. I'm a nonhuman system in my early twenties whose taken up the job of a freelance paranormal investigator, more of a hobby now though, if I'm completely honest.
Due to multiple physical and mental mishaps this year we've seemingly found ourselves out of the employment line due to our disabilities. Sadly this isn't the first time we've experienced this, the struggle we've had with keeping a stable home goes back years due to factors relating to my family's....well, I'll just say it, downright awful actions.
In recent weeks though, things have gotten marginally worse, leaving us with back rent to pay, and....having our utilities (water, electricity, gas) cut off due to delinquent payments owed
This has, understandably put a lot of strain on me and our system as a whole, making it hard to keep ourselves mentally in check.
Despite our trying it seems we don't exactly have anywhere else to go in the moment, our mother is sadly, reluctant to help due to the fact my monster of a father has been stalking me for God knows what reason since I left his care. I can't blame her in a way, but it's still disheartening.
If we could take a moment of your time, we'd ask if anyone in these circles our blog is based in have any sort of information or links to possible resources or places I could go-
Anything helps at this point as I need more time to form a game plan with what little I have left.
[[My blog is relatively new, so feel free to direct message me for proof of the matter, I understand I'm dumping all of this into the wild blue yonder way too soon after starting a blog here, and it could read as suspicious.]]
If you see this post, please feel free to reblog it for visibility. For now I have some things to try and figure out myself, so I'll be back on soon.
Stay safe out there.

Ive been struggling a lot with my self image to the point I’m having breakdowns in the mirror. I need help from anyone who can.
I’m AFAB agender/non binary and ive got some gripes about me I want help in altering in any way if I could get help finding resources or workouts or anything that would help me achieve a more masculine silhouette I would kiss you on the mouth (with your consent of course )
I am 24 years old, 5’7”/170.18cm, 195lbs/88.5kg, type one diabetic, neurodivergent (diagnosed ADHD, high suspicion of comorbid Autism though i cannot get an official diagnosis because the waitlist closest to home is a 2 year wait as of 2022) fibromyalgia is also present for anyone who needs any context regarding health concerns surrounding medical procedures they might recommend or suggest
Below are the things I need help in changing as a list with some details surrounding my anatomical structure
My goal is to be completely unsure if I’m a male or female with a look alone but with androgyny that can be a pretty broad area. I know if I gain upper body musculature that can help but I cannot afford a gym membership yet
vvv More below vvv
I have an exceptionally voluptuous butt. Its almost comical to me, I would say I’m slim-thick or pear shaped. Its the type of back end that a lot of cis femme women would covet, its mostly muscle tissue due to years of athletics but theres also scar tissue from years of insulin injections
My hips are VERY wide. Like I said I’m pear shaped, I hate the curvy figure I have and its rounded edges, I have small pockets of fat resting on my hips that only add to the figure
I have a very stubborn hormonal fat deposit on my stomach I want to stop oral birth control which is the most likely culprit but I currently cannot until I can get a hysterectomy
I have a muffin top and artificial hip dips due to fat deposits that I am looking to tame
Chest dysphoria, I don’t have large boobs, they’re a perky B/C cup. I would consider top surgery but I don’t know how to bring that up with my partner. I do use a fytist binder and I love how my chest looks flat/with nice pectoral muscle (even if its smushed boob). My partner loves the way I am shaped overall but I do not. (He/him/they/them bisexual)
Facial features are so rounded and I cant contour to save my life. I know losing weight will be seen in the face first but what else can I do?
Speaking of face I have loose skin under my chin thats not a double chin but any type of glance downward makes a pseudo double chin and I’m incredibly insecure about it. I have a relatively feminine jaw line and I have a jaw exerciser/silicone bite that I need to use more. Are neck tucks something available for me?
I have hooded eyes, they make me look so tired. I know eye lid lifts are a procedure but thats something I would need to save up for and plan for, I am unsure if losing weight would change this
The triceps of my arms feel like they’re on the road to bingo wings/bat wings, I know the tricep is supposed to hang freely when relaxed and not in use but when my arm hands at my side there is a bit of pudge above my elbow that says “body fat” and not soft muscle
I understand weight loss can help with a small handful of these and muscle building can too but there are additional features and traits that cannot be worked for aside from medical intervention and cosmetic electives. I’m looking for workouts, medical procedures and price ranges, shapewear, makeup tutorials, diets that help in weight loss or muscle gain, and literally anything else that might help me feel like this is my body. Its becoming a large hinderance on my mental wellbeing
I really cannot keep dwelling on how my body is wrong when its something I am stuck with for life so all I can do is work to alter it and care for it. However I know these alterations are possible. Ive seen incredible transformations and transitions within the trans community and NB communities and I’m really hoping some of your experiences can be passed onto me so that I can live as myself too
I appreciate those that have taken the time to read this far. Thank you

been tryna ignore it but I am so goddamn annoyed at "human" as the default adjective for every kind/lovely/awe-inspiring/whatever thing y'all like about people/characters/concepts/whatever. frex, posts with the framework of "I love it when characters do the thing, it's just so beautiful and human" like give me a break
and i tried to ignore it bc this is very much a me-as-nonhuman problem as opposed to there being something actually wrong with that descriptor but that's a poor reason to ignore being aggravated, tbh. like yeah it's a me problem but 1) it's not just a me problem bc other nonhumans complain about it all the time and 2) it's literally fine for me to care about something that other people don't lmao
it's just so anthropocentric in such a casual way, a casual and unexamined equation of [goodness or sociability or intelligence or complexity of mind or complexity of emotion or capacity of compassion] with being human. that doesn't even make any sense but it's so ingrained in speech (in English, anyway) that if I tried to explain my frustration to anyone that wasn't also nonhuman, or alterhuman, or aware of this in some other way, they'd be like "lmao you're kidding right. you're making up something to be mad at" yeah well I Am Not
just tired of reading posts and bein like "yeah!! that's so good, I love when that happens" and then gettin to the "it's so ~human~" part and goin "well fuck me then" and scrolling on instead of happily reblogging. sure I could just reblog it anyway but now I don't fkn want to :)

torn between making ve-corpsis an isolated island (potential fun to be had with island syndrome and the way that would effect the wildlife in terms of less biodiversity+island gigantism/dwarfism) or making it a massive rainforest (humidity would better suit the drakes and theres a lot to be done with the Massive amounts of biodiversity+the idea of drakes having to compete w that). coughs
#the great failing of dronic society is pride. the moment they run into vennettes+humans they start claiming superiority due to their--#--seeming relation to thule and expend a TON of energy + resources in order to project a facade of complete power despite--#--the absolute shitfest of their internal politics (entirely new species created by thule themself appearing the day they first make--#--nonviolent contact w the other sophants and the two time culling of their upper courts due to failed ascension attempts primarily)--#--and that kind of falls in line with the idea that ve-corpsis is not a very dangerous place for them a la the isolated island. them--#--having no Real predators throughout the course of their evolution (both biological + societal) and thus freaking the hell out the instant#--True competition comes into the picture. but on the other hand the super biodiverse rainforest gives them a different--#--angle of them having faced + still facing adversity on the home front that exaggerates their response to perceived outside--#--threats. would also open up potential for more drake subspecies filling in different ecological niches as opposed to the 3 main ones--#--ive got thought out for the isolated island#they are both pretty heavy handed metaphors i think its just which one i want to go for LOL the first is more in line with other--#--alamanni stuff going on like the frontierists and ayala but the second gives them a more 'sympathetic' angle (cannot think--#--of the exact word for that. you arent meant to sympathize w them but it humanizes them ? maybe that)

it's always interesting to me how a bunch of analyses on knives’s character I've seen/read rely on the affirmation that he's inherently in an advantageous or privileged position compared to vash when not only are both of them from the same female-presenting species, they both suffered from the same gendered trauma and exposure to oppression/violence in the form of tessla as kids - it was their reactions and processing (or lack of processing, in knives’s case) of it that ultimately shaped what would later become their opposing ideals and/or beliefs.
obviously, our own different experiences, thoughts, beliefs etc irl will influence our readings on these sort of characters but idk, I think it's curious that knives's brand of rage/hatred/violence is seen as a Clearly Cis Masculine thing (which boy. there's a lot to unpack there) when these feelings stem from a deeply rooted fear of exploitation and consumption (that he can be subjected to, by virtue of the species he belongs to and what his body can do) that can be pretty relatable to afab folks imo. the lowkey infantilization is huh interesting as well bc honestly a lot of knives's overly emotional reactions remind me of afab characters who are immediately dismissed as crazy, hysterical etc etc for acting the same
anyway. I don't really care what genitals ppl hc knives with bc lord knows porn is free real estate and that's another matter (I've personally enjoyed fanarts/fics where he's depicted as having either, both, or smth completely different) but eh ig what I mean to say with all this useless rambling is that knives belonging to the same (oppressed) species as vash and still exhibiting abusive behaviors towards him doesn't automatically make knives the Cishet Male Privileged guy fighting against vash's Queer Trans Marginalization when both can easily be read as sexually-and-gender queer (even if in different ways) and if you believe folks from the same oppressed/marginalized group can't hurt each other well. think abt that perhaps
(as a side note bc this apparently needs to be said on these kinda posts but No I Do Not Think Knives’s Genocidal Tendencies Are Okay)

The innovation of a 3D-printed device from the University of Edinburgh could pave the way to the abolition of animal testing. The plastic “body-on-chip” device contains human cells from five major organs — the brain, heart, lungs, kidneys, and liver — and simulates chemicals moving through the circulatory system by using positron emission tomography (PET) scanning. “This device is the first to be designed specifically for measuring drug distribution … essentially, allowing us to see where a new drug goes in the body and how long it stays there, without having to use a human or animal to test it,” Liam Carr, inventor of the device, told The Guardian. Future models could also show how organs in different stages of disease react to medicine — as well as how everyday items like foods, aerosols, and cleaners affect the human body — improving precision in biomedical experiments. This device is an example of innovation in biomedical models that could replace animal testing. It could also be cheaper and faster than testing new drugs on live animals. “This device shows really strong potential to reduce the large number of animals that are used worldwide for testing drugs and other compounds, particularly in the early stages, where only 2% of compounds progress through the discovery pipeline,” said Dr. Adriana Tavares of the University’s Centre for Cardiovascular Science according to WION News.

Common Dreams
July 26, 2024
"You thought Project 2025 was just a threat after the election? It's actually happening *right now,*" said one climate campaigner.
Climate and environmental defenders on this week implored U.S. senators to block a permitting reform bill introduced this week by Sens. Joe Manchin and John Barrasso that campaigners linked to Project 2025, a conservative coalition's agenda for a far-right overhaul of the federal government.
Common Dreams reported Monday that Manchin (I-W.Va.) and Barrasso (R-Wyo.)—respectively the chair and ranking member of the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee—introduced the Energy Permitting Reform Act of 2024.
The Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC) noted that although the proposal "includes several positive reforms for the accelerated development of transmission projects," it also advocates "limiting opportunities for communities to challenge projects, loosening oversight for drilling and mining projects, extending drilling permits and fast-tracking [liquified natural gas] permits, and several other provisions friendly to fossil fuel giants."
"This dangerous bill doesn't deserve a floor vote."
These are nearly identical policies to what's proposed in Project 2025's Mandate for Leadership. The plan, which was spearheaded by the Heritage Foundation, calls for "unleashing all of America's energy resources," including by ending federal restrictions on fossil fuel drilling on public lands; limiting investments in renewable energy; and rolling back environmental permitting restrictions for new oil, gas, and coal projects, including power plants.
While Manchin has been trying—and failing—to pass fossil fuel-friendly permitting reform legislation for years, Brett Hartl, director of public affairs at the Center for Biological Diversity, said that his "Frankenstein legislation is taken straight from Project 2025, and it's the biggest giveaway in decades to the fossil fuel industry."
Hartl said the bill "deprives communities of the power to defend themselves and gives that power to Big Oil by making it harder for communities to challenge polluting projects in court," and "prioritizes the profits of coal barons over public health."
"And it mandates oil and gas extraction in our oceans," he continued. "The insignificant crumbs thrown at renewable energy do nothing to address the climate emergency."
"Monday was the hottest day in recorded history," Hartl noted. "It's shocking that as the climate emergency continues to break records around us, the Senate continues to fast-track the fossil fuel expansion that is killing us. This dangerous bill doesn't deserve a floor vote."
Hartl added that "to preserve a livable planet," Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) "must squash this legislation now."
Tumblr media
Manchin—who has said this will be his last term in office—has been a steadfast supporter of the fossil fuel industry, partly because his family owns a coal company. The senator says his permitting reform bill "will advance American energy once again to bring down prices, create domestic jobs, and allow us to continue in our role as a global energy leader."
However, Allie Rosenbluth, Oil Change International's U.S. manager, warned Thursday that "this bill is yet another dangerous attempt by Sen. Manchin to line the pockets of his fossil fuel donors, sacrificing communities and our climate along the way."
"Don't be fooled: The Energy Permitting Reform Act is another dirty deal to fast-track fossil fuels above all else," she continued. "It would unleash more drilling on federal lands and waters, unnecessarily rush the review of proposed oil and gas export projects, and lift the Biden administration's pause on new LNG exports."
"We urge Congress to reject this proposal and commit to action that protects frontline communities from the impacts of fossil fuel development and the climate crisis," Rosenbluth added.
"Don't be fooled: The Energy Permitting Reform Act is another dirty deal to fast-track fossil fuels above all else."
NRDC managing director of government affairs Alexandra Adams said Wednesday that "this bill is a giveaway for the oil and gas industry that will ramp up drilling and environmental destruction at a time when we need to be putting a hard stop to fossil fuels."
"We cannot afford to roll back so many of our bedrock environmental and community legal protections and offer a blank check to the oil and gas industry," she stressed. "We need new solutions for permitting if we are going to meet our clean energy potential and address the climate challenge. But this is not it."
"This bill would altogether be a leap backward on climate, health, and justice if passed into law," Adams added. "The Senate should reject it and look toward alternative solutions already being considered."
