Spice your sneakers with COLOUR

So recently, I have been into changing up my shoe game... by using different coloured sneaker laces on my sneaks! It can make your shoes look cool and fresh because of the change up of colour game. For example you have triple black shoes, that is.. kinda boring. The shoe can look dead. So the simplest way to spice up your look is by changing the normal shoe lace with another colour for example adding the colour pink! As of now, the most trending shoe lace colour is the colour cream. Why you might ask? The cream colour kind of create that vintage or aged look. Recently, many sneaker brands are starting to release with cream colour shoe lace, some of them include the Air Jordan 1 Low Travis Scott Fragment and Air Jordan 5 Sail Off White. Now, let me show case some of my sneaker colour combos:

Royal Blue + Cream Lace:

The Nike Dunk High Game Royal is a nice combo with some cream laces! It kinda makes it look kinda vintage and edgy.. if you get what I mean hehe.

Black and White + Baby Pink Laces:

NOW THIS COMBO>>> Nike Dunk High Panda with baby pink laces???!!! I am in love with this combo. Adding that hint of color to a basic black and white coloured sneakers just gives me spark in my soul. <3

Black and White + Yellow Laces:

Another combo that I like is the yellow colour with the Nike Dunk High Panda. This combo goes very well with a lot of cool tone outfits.

POV: Me getting Vaccinated

Hey everyone, have yall went for your vaccination? WHAT ARE YOU DOING? BOOK A SLOT NOW!! 0.0

Okay now, in this post I’d like to share my personal experience of going to the vaccination center and getting vaccinated. I got my first dose on the 16th August of 2021, just right after the second wave broke in Brunei. I feel like I could’ve gotten the dose sooner (before second wave) but I felt complacent with Brunei being a safe haven from Covid-19 and that I would not be traveling overseas anytime soon. Plus, the stories I heard of blood clots being a side-effect of a particular vaccine brand added to the fear of not wanting to get the vaccine sooner. I wanted to wait it out and let others get it first and see if it was safe LOL but everything changed when the fire nation attacked, nah jokes I’m just playin.. haha..but everything changed when the second wave hit. You were either unvaccinated or vaccinated, and of course everyone who was unvaxxed panicked and started rushing to get their vaccine appointments booked (my family included).

Anyways, so I booked my slot for the 16th and off I went. I remember packing a whole bag pack full of things I felt would be useful. I thought an umbrella and a fold-able stool would be useful, cos I heard people stood in lines outside the indoor stadium for hours but it turned out not to be true, I waited 15mins max outside. I still did pull out my stool and sat on it but after 5 minutes of sitting I felt out of place because.. literally no one else was sitting? LMAO so I ended up just standing up like everyone else. Oh yeah, this one guy tried cutting in the line in front of me (he went from his line into my line) and I called him out on it and he pretended to not understand what I was saying. Fortunately, a volunteer was nearby and told him to stand in his own line, phew I almost threw a fit at the center AHAHA IM KIDDING. (am i..) That was probably the only interesting thing that happened, the rest of the waiting was pretty much just that, just waiting. For 5 hours. But it's all good tho, the stadium was air conditioned so i'm not complaining. Also, I bought a burrito before coming to the vax center, and I ate it at the nosebleeds of the stadium away from everyone so no one would see me taking off my mask to eat hehe shoutout to Moistjito (@/moistjito on Instagram), I Love Their BURRITOS!

After getting my first dose, the side-effects hit me like a truck. The fever had me bed-ridden for 2 days, the Paracetamol did make it bearable. So yep, that’s about it from me. Thanks for the read, readers! hehe bye

Pose, Pose, POSE for the Gram~

Now... we shall discuss on how to pose for the gram! In other words, how to look good in a picture, or.. at least decent. I would not say these are the BEST tips, this is just how I like to do it. Hehe continue reading!

SHOE HAUL

Time to talk about what I love the most after food (ofcourse).. SHOESSSS!!! This year I have been purchasing shoes from time to time.. And I need to stop, eventually I will.. Maybe hahaha. Lets start!

Nike Dunk Photon Dust - $280 bnd

The Nike Photon Dust.. my first ever dunks.. how can i not love them! They look FRESH & CLEAN. Saw this shoe release was trending on twitter, and let me tell you when I first laid my eyes on them, it was love at first sight. I. Had. To. Get. Them. These retail for 100 usd (exchanges to $136 bnd) but i copped them for $280 bnd from someone else who sell resell. The $144 bnd difference kinda hurts but I would not mind getting hurt by this one! The shoe looks all white but is actually a Light grey plus White combo, which is why I really like these the most out of all my shoes and it is why I am talking about these shoes FIRST! HAHA. This colour combo works with many outfits and I really recommend other to cop them! ;)

Nike Dunk High Game Royal - $180 bnd

The Nike Dunk High Game Royal... I have mixed feelings about this one. I like them.. but I don't like them... do you guys get what I mean? I'm just kidding. I love these. The Royal Blue colour looks elegant and add a pop of colour to any plain outfit. Copped these for $180 bnd which was not so bad considering that high dunks are relatively cheaper than low dunk (the shoe I talked before this were low dunks).

Birkenstock Arizona - $100 bnd (I actually do not remember the price anymore but it was around this price)

Copped my first ever Birkenstock. I am so glad these are available in stock in Brunei now. I have always wanted one ever since 2015, and now 2021, I finally have one bought with my own money :D These are sooooo comfortable, I must say way better than fitflops (I have been wearing fitflops for years now, and I got tired of them, they look weird anyways). I checked google, and google says that these sandals are rated number 1 most comfortable sandals to exist. Throw your old sandals and buy these when you can as SOON AS POSSIBLE! I bought mine at Run Trail Nation at One River Side. :D

Jordan 4 Retro White Cement - $150 bnd (used)

These shoes are the cutest! Look great with any street wear outfit. I bought these used from online and the condition was okay but I am refraining from wearing them too much as the soles are starting to come out. I honestly wish I saved this money I spent to buy a new pair of Jordan 4s than buying a used one. Now a days Jordan 4s resell up to a thousand dollars. ITS. CRAZY. Which was the reason why I bought a used one, which again, I regretted but I still enjoyed wearing these!

Nike Dunk High Panda - $260 bnd

The last (for now) and most recent shoe purchase of mine. It is the Nike Dunk High Panda!!!! Finally got my hands on these babies. And again.. almost all dunks retail for 100 usd (exchanges to $136 bnd) and I copped these for $260.. so.. a $124 bnd difference. hahahaha but its okay! These shoes are bomb, they are a basic and a staple and goes with a lot of outfit combinations. Although I have not got to used these shoes as much as I want (because of covid, we barely can go out), I still used it out once when I was out for groceries and that made me happy hahahaahahah.

Enhance those already beautiful pictures to be beautiful-er !

Hello there! This is my first post here and I am going to talk about how you can enhance your photos or selfies by using filters and editing apps. Before the second wave of Covid-19 in Brunei hit, I always went outside for photoshoots for myself to post and update on my main Instagram account, which by the way is actually private and funny how I somehow rarely post pictures but ALWAYS take pictures.. Well I don't know how to explain it either! Haha. Anyways some applications I always use to edit my pictures are PicsArt, Snapseed, Dazz Cam and Vsco Cam. 

PicsArt:

This was back in 2017, a day before new years! LOL you could tell I was excited to dive in 2018.. xD

SnapSeed:

Celebrated my best friend’s 20th birthday. Took this picture on my old iPhone and after editing it on SnapSeed it looked wayyyy better than before! (Although I do not have the before picture in hand. Lost it, sorry!)

Dazz Cam:

 My second birthday cake this year from my family when we were having a barbecue. This edit makes it look dazzling :D hence the name ‘Dazz Cam’. This app has to be one of my favorite editing and filter apps.

Vsco Cam:

Dont tell me you don’t miss the covid free days.. CAUSE I DO!

Instagram:

In this picture, I was doing a product shoot. All I did was enhance the brightness and sharpened it a little bit. Took this on an iPhone X, looks professional to me!

Using filters and editing them does not mean one is insecure of themselves or trying to hide something.. I assume some people may say that..? Maybe. But for me, it is a way to enhance your pictures and selfies to look MORE BETTER than it already is. Right? It would not even hurt anyone else to use filters and edit your own pictures!

When I am lazy to edit my pictures or selfies on a specific application, I just use the ready-made filters available on instagram or snapchat. There are like more than thousands ready-made filters on those apps that anyone can open, use, and click! Another way is to make minimal edits on instagram by changing the brightness, contrast, warmth, sharpness and many more!
