For those who say Imane Khelif is a female. He’s a man.

Pretty sure "internal undescended testicles and no uterus" make you a male. Imane Khelif should be stripped of HIS gold medal and banned for life after the WBO confirmed his MALE gender identity but HE wasn't...
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
And he is still holding his gold medal! Contrary to online reports it has NOT been stripped...

I keep seeing this term ‘biological male’ being thrown around. There are lots of reasons why this is an innacurate and unhelpful description, but I’d like to examin just this term for a moment.
What exactly is a ‘biological male?’ The definition of biology is “the physiology, behavior, and other qualities of a particular organism or class of organisms.“ So let’s brake that down a bit. In refference to humans that means organ structures and chemicals that run those organs. So when talking about biological sexes, we’re probably referencing a certain set of average characteristics shared by people with XX chromosomes, XY chromosomes, or other sets of chromosomes which are part of natural human variation like XXY, XYY, XXX, XXXXY, X, XXXXXX, and XXXY (learned about those in biology class. It’s really cool how much more diversity there is to human biology than you generally think about. If we’re basing sex off of DNA, there are indeed WAY more than two sexes).
Now the way that any of those sets of DNA (which are known as genotypes) translate to how the body looks and works (phenotypes), is by making chemicals. Those chemicals are what build all the organs and keep them running the way they do. DNA isn’t the only thing deciding how much of each chemical there is though. Environmental factors like the food we eat, medicine we take, other organisms living inside us like bacteria and viruses, chemicals we absorb from the environment, and even stress massively impact body chemistry, often completely overriding DNA. So sometimes you might have the genotype for one thing and end up with a different phenotype. Like people who were born with tall genes but end up short as adults because during the time they were developing they didn’t have access to adequate nutrition. Their DNA might say one thing but in reality, they turned out as something else. The short person with tall genes is still short, regardless of what their DNA says.
Phenotype can also be directly changed by outside forces, like getting a limb blown off in an explosion, getting your ears pierced, or having surgery. These overide both DNA and body chemistry. A person with the DNA and chemicals to have two arms but had one arm chopped off is phenotypically a one armed person.
When reffering to different sexes, we’re usually talking about generalized groupings of phenotype, like gential organs, bone structure, musculature, hair growth, and fat distribution. These phenotypes are generally determined by chemicals called hormones. Just like any other chemicals, these too are impacted by environmental factors like what we eat and what medicines we take. So when someone takes a medicine that alters their hormone levels, that alters their phenotype. Just like how growing up with healthy foods and vitamins can help kids develop strong and healthy bodies, medicines like puberty blockers and hormone replacement therapy lead to bodies developing differently. These phenotypes can of course also be altered through surgery by deconstructing and reconstructing different parts of the body like genitalia and facial bone structure. By changing the chemicals and organ structures they have changed the biology.
So what is a ‘biological male?’ A biological male would presumably be someone with the general phenotypes of the group called males. If someone does not have those phenotypes, it wouldn’t make sense to call them a biological male. So according to the definition of biology, a trans woman whose physiology, behavior, and other qualities align with those exhibited by females is not a biological male. She is a biological female.

Back at it again with my Danny is mom coded au’s, but this time it’s because of Clockwork that he suddenly has a whole ass teenage kid.
Clockwork had been bored or maybe he was playing a game against an opponent, or even lost a bet, whatever it was, he stepped in right as Jason was searching for his biological mother.
The DNA that would have registered itself as one Sheila Haywood, confirming Jason’s mother, glitched a terrible green across the screens of the batcomputer.
In those few moments of chaos Jason’s heart beat rapidly as he tried to figure out why the computer wasn’t working, wondering if his only chance to find his mom — his blood mom — would never find success.
Then as suddenly as things went wrong the DNA settled and pinged.
Jason watched, his chest tight, as one Danny C. Works, formerly Danny Fenton appeared onto the big screen.
Danny looked a lot like Jason, short cut black hair more straight than the subtle curls of Jason’s own; deep blue eyes, tired in a way that spoke of long days and nights, but with a warm happiness that made the familiar smile — the one Jason would see on himself every time he looked into the mirror — even more striking.
Jason didn’t linger too long on the male identifying gender, nor the fact his mom leaned more towards a masculine name or clothing.
There were plenty of male to female, and female to male leaning individuals that lived in Crime Alley. He had seen it enough to not even bat an eye at it, even now. After all, in Gotham you minded your business least you find yourself in business you can’t leave.
On a different monitor information of Danny C. Works piled for Jason to quickly browse through.
Danny was a senior engineer, no intimate relationships, and with no close connections to family outside of the tentative calls from Jasmine Fenton.
Danny was estranged from Jack and Madeline Fenton, a falling out that had occurred just a little before Danny’s high school graduation. If Jason calculated it correctly that would have been — around the season Jason himself would have been born.
Okay, so no grandparents then but I might have a maybe aunt. Jason scrolled further and stilled.
Twin toddlers: Dante and Danielle Works.
Jason had baby siblings.
He doesn’t let the sting of younger siblings consume him, doesn’t allow the whispering thoughts of why he had been given up when his younger siblings had been kept and so very obviously loved.
Jason took deep breathes, he didn’t have time to linger here. He had a family to get to, and a family he would get to.
It took almost all night to reach, the starlight night sky slowly and surely fading into cloudy wine as the sun rose, but Jason made it.
And when the door opened to his hesitant but firm knock, Jason was unable to speak. His mom — dad, maybe? Did they want to be mom or dad? — stood in the doorway, brows furrowed in confusion.
It was when Danny spoke his vigilante name did Jason only just realize that he was still dressed to the nine’s in his Robin costume.

I feel like the “issue” of intersex athletes at the Olympics would matter a lot less if the IOC actually followed a comprehensive guide on what DSDs were male-specific and what DSDs were female-specific and using that as the basis for qualification.
Instead they intentionally muddy the waters so we have no idea whether a certain athlete should be allowed to compete in women’s sports and then feminists look insane for being like “hang on, somethings wrong here”

Asks are open, feel free to pop in and talk or request something! (SFW requests only, please and thank you)
John Price who almost bursts into tears when he hears Grumpy!Reader's kid call him "Dad". It has been a year or two since you two started dating and he's really ingrained himself into your family. He loves your kid as if it's his kid, and he swears that one day, they will be his kid.
If your kid's a teenager, then them calling him "Dad" is most likely in a teasing, exasperated manner.
They were just leaving the house to go to the park with their friends and they had said goodbye to John. He calls out to them to be safe and they respond, "Yeah, yeah. I'll be safe! Bye, Dad!" And they don't miss a beat after saying it, opening the front door and leaving the house.
And John's just left there, standing wherever he is, wondering if he heard it correctly. Even if it had been in a teasing manner, the man is on cloud nine. He got called "Dad" by the very kid he loves and thinks of as his own. He's Dad now, he'll only ever respond to it when talking with your kid.
If your kid is younger, then it's mostly genuine when they call him "Dad".
John's in the kitchen, making them whatever lunch they want. It's a Saturday afternoon and you just went out to get groceries for the upcoming week, a common occurrence on a Saturday. Maybe he's making them dinosaur chicken nuggets or a sandwich, whatever it is, he plates it on the table.
"Here you go, kid," he says, watching with a fond smile as your kid lights up with happiness. A deep rumble of contentment is heard from his chest. "Eat up."
They do so happily, taking a bite of the food. "Thanks, Dad!" they reply, shoving food into their mouth.
He's taken aback, shocked by it all. He had never thought they'd call him "Dad", but it feels so right. And he's ecstatic for the rest of the day, unable to shake off the bright grin on his face. He happily spends the rest of the day doing whatever your kid wants, his heart soaring with happiness whenever they call him "Dad'.
That night, no matter which type of kid you have, John's laying beside you in bed, you fast asleep. And he's on his phone with his brightness turned down, looking at engagement rings. Because he's going to get married to you, officially be in this family. He's not letting you or your kid go, you're both his now.

My favorite trans Leo headcanon is that he has no idea he’s biologically female/intersex and doesn’t find out until way later in life all like oh wait that makes sense-
My second favorite trans Leo headcanon is that he doesn’t initially know, but finds out around ten years old or so and proceeds to never mention it ever until it comes out in the most mundane of ways and everyone is like wait what-

for my fellow selfshippers that experience a menstrual cycle;
your f/o would do anything they can to help you through the pain. if you need pain meds or a heating pad or you just need held, they'd help you.
if you experience dysphoria around this time, they'd do anything to help you with that, too! whatever you prefer, they'd do anything to make you more comfortable.
when you're hungry, they'd get you something to eat, no matter what it was. they'd make you your favorite meals and make sure you had everything you needed to stay comfortable and happy.

I would enjoy hearing myself called by the title "doctor." I've read a lot about medicine. I imagine I would make a very fine doctor. But I do not call myself "doctor." I do not have the training, experiences, and history of a doctor. I have not paid the life price to be a doctor. It is in no way a personal insult to me to deny me the right to use "doctor" on my resume. It is simply the educational reality of my life. Putting on a white coat and stethoscope would not make me a doctor. Claiming "doctor" on my resume would constitute fraud.
There are now people with penises who wish to use the title "Woman." They would enjoy hearing themselves called "Woman." They've observed and read about what it means to be a woman. They imagine they would make a very fine woman. But they do not have the biology, the experiences, the Blood Mysteries of Woman; they have not paid the life price to be a woman. It is no personal insult to them to deny them that title. It is simply the biological reality of their lives. Applying this culture's "artifacts" of Woman long hair and painted fingernails, makeup, dresses, high heels, breast implants, and "feminizing" face surgery does not make them Woman. For a person with a penis, claiming "Woman" constitutes fraud.

isn't it kind of crazy that even a few years ago you would have TRA's loudly proclaiming things like, "Of COURSE trans women aren't biologically female, literally NO-ONE is saying that!!" and now a male US elected official is on record saying "We're every bit as 'biologically female' as cis women"...

Idk how to properly explain it, but the amount of attacks against Imane Khelif aren't only misogynistic, racist and transphobic, but they also *reek* of intersexism. (Also, comparing a woman with high testosterone levels throwing a punch in boxing to literal domestic abuse is fucking weirdo behavior)
