Oh the fucking irony, a man who gets tax breaks and federal contracts whining about others doing the same. Mind the stocks of his companies jumped in price when DOGE was announced, he directly benefits from being in governmen. Boycott any and all Elon owned products and services, don't give him a single cent while he's stealing your tax dollars.

I wrote about Elon Musk lying about being one of the best in Path of Exile 2. And also about how billionaires are a poison of the mind.

I love Batman comics. And this is 100% a valid take. Which is why Ivy says it canonically.

Elon has really outdone himself this time. Is news about to break he's on the client list or something?

Just a reminder that corporations aren't your friends and will abuse you to the greatest possible limits. They will cut you for taking days off or parental leave, they will slander you and defame you to dampen backlash.

I'm an optimist at heart. I have to believe lawmakers will eventually be voted in who understand 21st century technology enough to regulate it. Because as long as we as a people collectively sit back and let private for-profit transnationals do whatever the *&^)% they want ("if it makes a profit, it must be ok") including rampant, unchecked AI development - which even its programming teams don't and can't fully understand - with zero oversight then we as a species are acceding to our own extinction for the sole and entire sake of a handful of amoral billionaires and their profit margins.

Never trust a billionaire. They are not your friends.
No safety standards on the submersible. They paid $250,000 dollars to be murdered stupidly.

Hey.
You’re going to get people telling you that you can’t enjoy anything because Bad Things are happening.
It’s always been a thing with people, but it’s especially bad right now as a certain chunk of white Americans are starting to experience certain Bad Things for the first time. They’re overwhelmed with it, unpracticed in being targeted and/or even affected by this kind of stuff. So they’ll pop up on your post about making pottery, or being happy with your partner, or a shout out to your nice parents, and they’ll be full of righteous anger at you. They’ll be convinced that you aren’t ‘doing your part’ of the suffering, that the world should stop turning because now it’s finally happening to them. How dare you be happy, they’ll say, when something Important and Urgent, and Bad is happening to me?! And, no, they won’t get the hypocrisy so don’t bother pointing at their selfies at the cafe, their brand new cars, the millions of kisses shared in public with their partners while Bad Things have been happening outside of their personal space. Because they won’t remember that version of themselves. They won’t remember that people can be multifaceted. They won’t remember that joy does not have to be the cost of having knowledge of suffering, and compassion for others. They are experiencing the Bad Things, and it’s all encompassing.
Instead, continue to be happy, continue to share it, and enjoy the things you do. Because most of us have already been in these trenches for a long while now, some even longer than others, and from my experience seeing that the world is still turning and joy is still possible is ten times more important than you ‘experiencing the suffering’ with us. I want to know that pottery is still being made. I want to see Thailand rejoice in queer marriages. I want to know that you are loved and supported by people around you. I want to remember that there’s still joy and laughter and care in the world, and that someone can still experience it when I can’t.
It’s important that the world continues on when and where it can. It’s really, really important.

One thing that I realized about the ocean gate thing and all the refugees that passed away is that I know nothing about the actual refugees. For ocean gate, we’ve had news story upon news story describe each of the people on the sub. We’ve had detailed descriptions about every single one of them. Hell, even the fucking step son of one of the passengers received a shit ton of attention. But the refugees? I don’t know anything about that. I don’t know where they came from, what country/countries they were leaving, any of their names, even when this fucking thing happened. But the billionaires who died because of their own idiocy? Yeah, that’s why more important then 700 people dying because they want a better life

Sugar Daddy!Porter jetsetting with up & coming runway & editorial model Jace Stardiamond. Whatever Jace wants, Jace gets and Porter is more than happy to oblige.
Their arrangement is simple. Porter gets a companion and some nice arm candy for these god awful business dinners and schmoozing events and Jace gets a nice allowance and gifts (so many gifts, Porter cannot stop spoiling him.)
The first time they met it was at some gala Porter’s assistant put on his schedule as a networking opportunity. He plans to bow out early but then a gorgeous man at the bar starts to chat him up. To his surprise, the conversation is actually good and Jace doesn’t seem like he wants anything from him. Naturally Porter wants to give him everything. The night starts coming to a close and the crowd is thinning as the hours drag on. Porter can’t remember the last time he’s laughed this much.
Maybe it’s whiskey, but he leans in close to Jace’s ear and says, “let me take care of you.” Jace feels like his heart stops in his chest at the man’s words. He hasn’t even asked for his name. He was too lost in the conversation. It felt so.. easy. He didn’t feel like he was being sized up or dissected like he had been all night.
No one’s ever offered to take care of him before, not seriously. He was used to low ladder industry creeps saying it to him while they shoved their hands down his pants. But this guy- this impeccably dressed guy, kept his hands to himself. He could entertain him for a bit longer, there was no harm in it?
And maybe he doesn’t intend to get into the cab with him and more so he doesn’t mean stay up all night talking in such a lavish penthouse living room with a man he just met. It almost feels surreal by the time he’s watching the sunrise, passing a cigarette between the two of them when Porter speaks.
“My offer still stands, I’d like to take care of you.”

Not to be that guy I do just want them fucking on a private jet. I need it bad.
