this definitely isn't a full list of all of my personal headcanons, just a few that i really like. i've put the flag names/some thoughts under the cut! these are just my personal thoughts and it is perfectly wonderful if you disagree with any/all of them!

rosie: the rainbow flag. she is an enjoyer of women and everyone woman-adjacent!

henry: bi and nonbinary. i have such a fond spot in my heart for he/they henry!

james: genderfluid and biromantic. collects all the pronouns, with a preference for he and she depending on the vibes of the moment! i enjoy headcanoning james as biromantic and a big enjoyer of romance and flirting, but he is sooo bad at it. he tries out all of his best pickup lines on his friends and they just laugh in his face (with affection and care, mostly!) because she's just so terrible at them. she has never successfully flirted with anyone in her life and i love that for him < 3

emily: lesbian. professional enjoyer of all women. she fits so well with almost every single woman she meets and it is splendid. i really love in the great race how she has little chats with ashima and seems to really like her, it's a really sweet little bit of background interaction i enjoy. also, best engine ever is wonderful and her n caitlin are so sweet. give emily her women!

ryan: aroace. i honestly don't think i have much to say about this one, i just really like it.. though i also like ryan/thomas and ryan/daisy hehe. eh, those can all live in harmony in my brain :3

Okay, so the reason I was hesitant to do this is that I'm usually a "bi until proven otherwise" type of person, but here we go-

Before I begin, disclaimer 1: I consider pan and bi to be very similar sexualities, being bi doesn't mean you're not attracted to nbs (at least imo). The difference lies in whether or not the gender of your partner factors in the attraction you're experiencing (again imo).

Disclaimer 2: This is all in good fun, not meant to be taken too seriously, and obviously if you disagree that's all right 💕

So without further ado:

Eren (he/him): Heteroflexible, but also demisexual. Boy needs a strong bond to penetrate the wall of tatakae and get him to feel attraction. His implied but not canonically explicit crushes on Annie and Historia, only confirm this for me bc he only became interested in them after he learned more about the way they think. Mikasa is obviously his best friend, and Armin, his other best friend, puts the flexible into the heteroflexible.

Mikasa (she/her): Pansexual, also demisexual. She doesn't care about her partner's gender, only about their heart. She has trouble getting attached, but once she does she's ride or die!

Armin (he/they): Bisexual. You know the meme that goes, "I'm probably nonbinary but I don't have time for that"? Yeah, that's Armin. He do be fighting demons, and the demons are his relationship to masculinity. They like macho dudes (the ones they envy/they eeeenvy 🎶) and people who intimidate them.

Annie (she/they): Bisexual. Unlike Armin her nonbinary inclinations are not over some angst with womanhood, she simply sometimes wishes not to be perceived in any particular way. She likes boys if they're nice, girls if they're cool and nbs... nbs are just hot.

Jean (he/him): Pansexual. I don't think gender matters to him, he judges people through their actions, though, and oh boy... he's a harsh judge!

Connie (he/hee): Pansexual aromantic. Sorry, this boy is all about friendship, the other thing he just doesn't get. His friends will be his family, not his future spouse. He still gets around though 👀

Sasha (she/her): Demisexual, demiromantic, straight. Niccolo. Need I explain more?

Bertolt (he/him): He thinks he's straight but he's actually bi.

Reiner (he/him): Homoflexible. Mainly gay, but an exceptional woman can make him change his mind.

Hange (they/them): Pansexual. Canonical crushes involve Keith Shadis and Pieck. They clearly don't care about their partner's gender, only their levels of weirdness. Their gender is mad scientist.

Okay, if you were asked who are in Merlin BBC & Voltron that you can see based on canon that are gay/bi/pan/demi, which characters are they? Why?

What a fun ask I'm totally not doing to procastinate on cooking... XD

BBC Merlin

Arthur Pendragon is, in my head, demiromantic and bisexual... It sort of depends on the circumstances/episode. Arthur needs a very long time to really feel connections with people and only starts to consider love after he really gets to know them, hence his constant search for true love in the show. With Merlin I'm not entirely sure if he was attracted to him instantly, strangely enough feeling a connection from the moment they met, or if it takes him till the end of the series when Merlin confesses his magic and finally shows his true self to realise the depth of his feelings.

Merlin is, well... Bi Bi Bi. A disaster bi in fact. With a preference for sweaty men in metal boxes, he's not very peculiar. However, Merlin is a one person hyperfixation kind of guy. Most people are convinced that Merlin's gay.

Gwen: I feel like most people in BBC Merlin are bi and Gwen is no exception. Like Merlin, she prefers the hero type in metal uniforms. But she also had a thing for Morgana in the beginning.

Morgana: lesbian. I have never seen a woman so disinterested in men, I'm not surprised that they casted Katie McGrath in supergirl as supergirls love interest. I might settle for homoromantic and asexual. But definitly in love with Gwen in the very beginning.

Sir Leon, my beloved, the immortal, the one and only, the eternal suffering aro/ace. I don't have to explain this one. The only counter moment is the Lamia episode where Leon suddenly develops interest in women out of nowhere. My personal take is that anyone could be fallen under a Lamia's spell, this one just had a taste for men (and male presenting).

Sir Elian: once upon a time I clocked them as nonbinary and sadly that's as far as I thought into this character. Pretty sure he's aromantic. He/they pronouns. I dunno, I don't think Elian would conform to anything if given a choice. Aromantic too, I think. Like Leon, there is no interest there, but he does play around with Percival and Gwaine quite often, so I'd take that as allosexual.

I am excluding Gwaine because I think canon Gwaine is written as a straight oblivious fuckboy. Albeit a kind one XD fanon Gwaine is often poly/ pan... Or into apples. Lmao XD and I'm not sure about Percival because the man has a dead wife and kids.

Keith: with his lack of interest in women, he can only be gay. That man looks at no one quite the same as he looks at Lance. what the hell was the whole bonding thing if not a hint for post canon klance? Sorry, not sorry XD rivals to best friends to lovers.

Shiro: probably the only character in my entire history of shipping that I would unqueer without feeling bad about it. I know he's gay, I just don't really see it in the writing. Of course there aren't always clear signs that someone is gay which is why this is good rep actually (+he's married), but you asked me for proof in the show and all I see is that this man is a dad. That's his gender and his orientation and that's all I really need to know.

I am aware that I accidentally skipped last year's post. Part of that is that I've mostly reached a point where additions or changes are minimal. After a certain point it just begins to look like I'm copy-pasting the same posts again and again. pride month is almost over but can we hear your headcanons for the gang?

I actually don’t think I have any firm headcanons for their sexualities and gender identities, like just because I say one thing doesn’t mean that someone else’s very different headcanon doesn’t also make sense to me. So feel free to share what you guys think!

I’ll also write headcanons for what they would do during pride month!

Giorno: Aroace, bi, and cis using he/him pronouns. He likes to buy himself a rainbow cupcake at the start of pride month.

Bruno: who knows. He is pansexual to me but I also like ace Bruno. Nonbinary, but I also like transmasc Bruno. He/him pronouns. He usually donates money to a lgbtq+ foundation during pride month and buys a larger sized coffee than usual every morning.

Abbacchio: pan, genderfluid or transfemme, he/him she/her pronouns. He gets excited to go to a pride parade every year and then remembers how much he hates crowds and noise, still goes. Will be seen holding a “ban cops from pride parades” sign right next to a cop car.

Mista: on one hand I think Mista would be the straight cis ally friend. On the other hand he is gay. He is gay but he says he is the straight cis ally friend. Mista goes on a date to the pride parade with Narancia and wears a hat that says “ally”. Makes a point of mentioning that he is straight, also makes a point of mentioning that he is on a date with Narancia. He uses he/him or they/them pronouns.

Narancia: pan, and I usually think of him as a very gender cis person, but transmasc narancia is also interesting to me. He/him pronouns. He goes on a date with his straight friend Mista to the pride parade. He dances!

Fugo: demisexual, and trans but I can’t decide if he is transmasc or transfemme. He/him pronouns. He went to a pride parade once and it was very overstimulating for him, so now he just stays home and asks Mista and Narancia to get him his flags and a strawberry dessert if they see one. They brought him ice cream this year. they bought it exactly when they saw it which was two hours before they got home. It was 94 degrees out that day.

Trish: she is a lesbian, I usually think of her as cis but transfemme Trish is also a very interesting headcanon to me. She/her pronouns. She goes all out for pride month, wearing lesbian pride colors everyday of June and does all sorts of pride-themed baking with her friends (pride flag cookies that came out wonderful and pride flag bagels that ended with the colors mixing together)

I love all the pan representation, but I'm kinda jealous of how many pan characters there are, too. I know I shouldn't be. Emotions are just funny like that sometimes, though.

My ace Octavia headcanon is now canon! ...At the cost of Mammon also being ace. He's fun to watch, don't get me wrong, but I mean... Mammon. -w-"

We've got some nice bi-ace solidarity with Loona and Octavia. That's always great. :)

The spade symbols on Mammon's robe and hat... Is it just for the aesthetic, or is he now our only confirmed aroace character across the Hellaverse? (I still staunchly believe that Alastor is aroace, but for some reason, the people at Spindlehorse refuse to say anything either confirming or denying it...)

Verosika's hairstyle is fun, especially with the heart-shaped curls at the ends.

It's nice that multiple trans characters (not just Sallie May) are included. I wonder if we'll ever get any nonbinary characters, though.

Chaz is definitely Chaz.

It would be cool if at least one of the succubi/incubi had an orientation other than pansexual, but oh well.

naah sexuality and gender is rarely part of the plot for me as much as it is just a fact of my character's lives (I ain't writing a romance here, all romance is more or less tangential to the mainplot. I do like romance tho its cute) so I'm super happy to share!! Etti: she won't tell me her gender other than that she's "more or less a woman" and uses she/her. She's bi!

Locke: Nonbinary aroace (likes aspects of gender, sex and romance, just in a sort of detached way.)

Pasha: Trans guy, he doesn't really know his sexuality but I know he's demi and he's never been attracted to a woman before

Loren: Nonbinary lesbian <3 Sometimes they're attracted to people who think they're men at the time but uhhh as the wording of this implies that opinion tends to be incorrect

Briar: How could a being of change be constrained to one form, to one label? If asked she'll say she's bi but that's purely for convenience.

Mal: she's a trans woman who is afab and people can fight her on it <3 she's also poly/bi and changes her labels like. all the time for fun and depending on who she's talking to. Being a little bit hard for others to understand is also part of her identity. sometimes she feels a lil otherkin sometimes she feels a lil therian sometimes she feels a lil sapphic you know? it changes

Leonore: is a cis woman who is not afab and people can fight her on that too. She's been a woman in her mind from day 1 and feels that her experiences match that of a cis woman and so she identifies as such. Regardless of what others might think about her body, this is her experience and the way she sees herself. She's bi with a preference for women

Envy: Genderfluid, their sexuality is also fluid which has been a bit awkward for them in the past when they've been dating guys and suddenly just. not attracted to men. Awks. It comes and goes so they use different terms to fit how they're currently feeling.

Violet: questioning cis woman. She's unsure. She'll get there eventually, when less things want to capture her and steal her voice <3

Kyra: Butch lesbian <3 She has not disclosed this with her coworkers but they do know she's dated women in the past. She's not sure if they know about her involvement with Mal but she sure hopes not

I know there's a few more but I got distracted so if you want to know abt anyone specific I missed, let me know!! haven't done the Voices bc I feel they don't really use labels in this world very much. (in my other stp au however... but i digress). Generally as a blanket people use He for voices and She for perspectives, but that's purely public opinion based off of the stories. If they felt strongly enough about it any of them could use whatever pronouns they want. Generally they don't tend to feel that strongly about it here, but it also depends on their hosts!! they're creatures of belief, after all.
