Finished my silly bg3 comic based on the coop game I play with my bf. We like to just pick up everything we see (that we can safely take without it being "stealing").

My bf's Tav is an elven knowledge cleric of Mystra named Cassie, and my Tav is a halfling swords bard named Nephele! I have their coloured design (I forgot Cassie's scar) cus I wanted to give them their own designs :)

This might catch some flak here, but I just want to throw out there… I don’t hate Karlach’s ending in BG3.

HEAR ME OUT. Sometimes a situation is just shitty. Sometimes there simply nothing we can do. Bad things happen to very good people, and no matter how much love and attention and work you pour in, sometimes things just don’t work.

Do I love that we can’t fix Karlach’s heart in the scope of the game? Absolutely not. I love Karlach, I want her to keep kicking ass forever. But at the same time, the message that sometimes things just don’t work out like that? It’s heartbreaking but it’s so real. Sometimes we simply don’t have the time or the resources and it isn’t fair. It strikes a chord man.

The reason it hits so hard is we care so much about this character. We care SO MUCH, but there is nothing we can do except encourage her to hold on a little longer in hell while we work for a solution. I love that they added an out during the party afterward. I love that Karlach has a chance.

But the tragic, sad ending? I don’t hate it. Some times things just don’t work, and it really, really hurts.

i hate when ppl act like the only reason to not like a "sad" ending is because you can't take it or whatever. personally as a tragedy enjoyer, i hate a poorly written ending. i hate an ending that is just kind of a bummer. i hate an ending that feels mean-spirited to the audience. i hate an ending that's redundant. i love a sad ending that is thematically consistent, poignant, and bespoke to the rest of its narrative.
