QOTM #3: September's quote is from To Kill a Mockingbird. I remember devouring this book during my freshman year of high school—definitely a favorite!

I'm about halfway through Frank Herbert's 1965 sci-fi novel, Dune. I plan on doing a small book review once I'm done, so be sure to check out my blog. I have to admit the trailer for the movie coming out this fall gave me chills!

Some good advice from William Zinsser's "Writing English as a Second Language." In the article, the author discusses four principles of good English: Clarity, Simplicity, Brevity, and Humanity. It's an informative read and I recommend checking it out.

QOTM #1: Hello! This is the first quote of my "Quote of the Month" series, where I share beautiful, wise, or thought-provoking words from writers, philosophers, and the like. This quote in particular is from Tahereh Mafi's debut novel Shatter Me. Please let me know what you think and/or how you interpret it! I'd love to hear your thoughts.
