I went five days without my adhd medication (I was waking up waaaay too late to take something that could maybe negatively impact my sleep. I already struggle with insomnia. I’m not giving my sleep meds any disadvantage) but today I woke up earlier (by comparison) and I’m vibrating. It will be normal again tomorrow, but I hate when I first take it after missing at least a day. My body decides that I need to speed run my day before it gets normal about it
Me, once again, having missed a few doses before this one, experiencing this:
#emma posts#adhd meds at it again#I promise I’m usually normal about it#this just happens when I miss a(few) doses#I hate how stimulants can either make my brain work while being chilled out. or I’m thinking better but everything is going at Mach five#or whatever#my heart is going so fast and I’m vibrating#this is why i don’t drink caffeinated beverages#I at least get normal on my meds after a day#anything stronger than tea though and the caffeine makes my body go so fast#even sitting down#I let myself stim again now and it’s like most of this left my body#starts moving a limb and suddenly goes limp#what is wrong with me?#it’s my first day back on medication for adhd and I’m being soooo normal about it#I hate when people use that as an example of why my meditation is bad. give it 24 hours and I’ll be normal#more normal than when I didn’t have my medicine even!#I tried taking something that wasn’t a stimulant but it barely did anything#so my doctor put me back on a stimulant (just a different one than before) and I can focus now when it’s not like this#so day two onwards I actually will be so normal about this#it just takes one day of suffering to get relief from my usual struggling#not a cure all but oh my god do I love being able to do tasks
